It's the day after my birthday too :D

WHO PAYS 7 GRAND FOR EFI!?
-
Hurry up and finish the car then so you can come! :P
-
That is one CLEAN engine bay! EFI, Superchargers and Turbos all help boost power, but all depends on how much you want it boosted and how much money you have to spend :P
-
Maybe you should work on getting car control when sideways and what not with your 3k before you go doing something crazy to it? What if you do all this work then crash? Get some time on the tracks and practise before doing crazy stuff... Alternatively get yourself a 4k, they're EVERYWHERE AND CHEAP. Instant upgrade as apposed to building up a 3k.
-
Well, naturally I'm gonna have the 5k decompressed. As to how I'm undecided at present, I kinda want to keep it a FULL 5k rather then put a 4k head on it for instant decomp. I'm picky :P As for PSI, I'm looking at about 12PSI from the SC14 with aftermarket pulley and about 8PSI from the T28. I plan to increase the overall boost anyways, this is just the stock figures as present. I'll start tinkering with levels of boost as the project starts coming back together. Cheers, Jake.

Okay then, wet roads and bald tyres, slide till your hearts content! (JOKE!) Setting it up isn't all that hard, but I couldn't imagine supercharging the 3k getting you what you're after. Just do what everyone else does and put in a 4AGE. IF you're deadset on supercharging however, it's not a hard setup. Pipes, carby and electric fuel pump. That's the BASIC requirements. Why do you want to slide a KE30 so much?
-
Honestly, I PERSONALLY wouldn't bother on a 3k. My setup was only temporary as I was gonna swap out the 4k with a 5k. The idea was to try blow the 4k up, but it battles on! It also all depends on how much power you want? The AMR500 will boost 5PSI stock so you won't really need to retard timing or bother decompressing the engine. It's harder to increase the power output on the AMR500 because unless you can find a smaller pulley to put on the charger (Harder to find as it's already pretty small), you'll need to put a bigger pulley on the engine (Easier to find). Ideally if you're going for power, go for the SC12/14 as there are pulley kits of different levels of boost readily available ON TOP of being able to swap the engine pulley for even more boost. Keep in mind I still have a great deal of fun in the AMR500 4k. It's all upto you really. Cheers, Jake.

Isn't it under the bonnet on the firewall? :S
-
Hey Guys, Small update today! I was bored and decided to give the bonnet a bit of a buff/cut and polish to trying give the paint some more life. got half of it done when I hear a "POP!" and the buffer stopped spinning, so I binned it lol! Now that I'm on holidays I find myself getting very bored very quickly and seeing as I can't really start my engine build until I have my 5k rebuilt and decomp'd. So in my boredom today I decided to just rock up to my old man's work and get some tyres on my Centrelines. The plan was to just swap the stock tyres over onto the new 13's. So we did a practice swap and I didn't like the profile on them 175/75's. Then one of the fellas said he had some 170/75's I could have for $100 and they were new. So we test fitted them and I felt they looked better then the 175's. So it was a done deal. The guys fitted em all up whilst I ran up the road to get some shank and washer nuts to suit. Came back and we fitted them all up. THEY LOOKED GOOD! It needs more low however. The plan is to go in tomorrow and help out the mechanic with some services and organise getting the leaves reset and getting the front compressed. Also gonna be hunting around for some center caps :) That's all for today guys. Enjoy! Cheers, Jake.

http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/46322-mhmills-ke70-temporary-4k-blower-setup/ There ya go mate, I've already done a AMR500 onto a 4k, pretty easy job. Next I'm doing a SC14 on to a 5k alongside a T28 Turbo. Hope that helps.
-
That's a suck thru setup alright. Looks neat though, VERY CLEAN engine bay setup. heaps of room left over :) Never a bad thing! Cheers, Jake.
-
Not hard to work out, if you get a chance just take a photo of the engine bay for me, I'd love to see it. Sounds pretty sweet! Given what you've told me you didn't do the setup yourself? Did you just take it to someone and say "Engine plus turbo, KGO!"? I'd KILL for a joy ride one time, BUT I'm in Melbourne :( Ryan has almost talked me into moving to SA though :P I have some boost application plans of my own! :D I've already supercharged my KE70 4k. Piece of piss. Also a suck thru system. Next plan is a Twincharged KE55 Coupe, running a SC14 supercharger AND a T28 turbo. As for the setup, I have 2 options which I've been debating with Ryan fairly often. His setup seems ALOT more simple, BUT I like the idea of mine, it's slightly different to a usual setup AND I'll run a front mount intercooler. WHO DOESN'T LIKE THE LOOK OF AN INTERCOOLER HANGING OUT OF THE FRONT GRILLE! :P Cheers, Jake.
-
Yeah, Ryan was telling me it PULLS HARD! Reckons it'd stand a chance against a VE SS. If this is true, you'd be nuts to sell it. Also, if you've only driven it 3 times, WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU SELL IT! CRAZY MAN IS CRAZY! I have my blown 4k for sale, I doubt it has the power yours has, but I will regret the day it goes. When you do take it on a RC cruise, people will be having a pull over your car :P By the way, what turbo are you running? Ryan wasn't sure. Cheers, Jake.
-
Note to "KE25TURBO" DO NOT SELL, MAN! You'll most likely regret it.
-
YEAH WHAT HE SAID! BUY MINE! :P Supercharging is a piece of piss in my opinion, HOWEVER, the higher the boost the more complicated it will get. In the long term it's worth it, everything is more exciting. I find my blown 4k has a MUCH better rev range, on top of MOAR power. DO IT! :D Cheers, Jake.

PM Ewt, they have a set and photo's.
-
Sucks man... Makes me speechless, people are dogs :(
-
Definitely not a KE70 K50

G'Day guys, Just need some input on my twincharge setup, I've been debating thoroughly with SLO-030 flat out about his way and my way. So I figured I'd ask everyone else on their input. My setup consists of ROUGHLY: Carby>SC>Intake Manifold>Engine>Exhaust Manifold Turbo>Intercooler>Carby (via Turbo Hat) I've also done VERY rough diagrams with Paint. SLO-030's Setup idea/suggestion: Carby>SC>Turbo>Intake Manifold Engine>Exhaust Also has a VERY rough diagram :P Basically, it seems, SLO-030's setup is a bit more basic then mine. Mine is different to a "Normal" setup, consists of 1 suck thru component where as SLO's consists of 2 Suck thru components. Any and all input is greatly appreciated! Cheers, Jake

Paint looks good man! Can't wait to see the end product! Keep at it.

No chance on breaking 200KW, but I'll give it a go :P
