  1. they aren't actually that shape before they installed, they go that shape after installation
  2. lesley i was gonna say theres a few in adelaide now, but yeah this is the 2nd in adelaide to be on rollaclub :D also i meant to ask how you got on with the intercooler
  3. hate to tell you this, but that's not a genuine item as the originals never had air vents in them, and as far as i know and can remember the nova's never got the spoiler from the factory :D
  4. as hiro said ST 20v vary between 75 - 85kw atw on a good day :D plus 90% of people know that the power numbers for the ST/BT were inflated from the factory Oh and the kerb weight for the ae9x vary's between 1060kg and 1090kg, i have based that upon the sx/gti/sx seca :D I have heard of a BT running a 13.9 in an ae9x, but as to how believable that is who knows?
  5. did you quote the right part number? as in >>>> TOYCOR92SXRW if they can not help you you can always try jetspeed as they had one for the Toyota Tazz Hatch(same as the corolla hatch) not sure if they still make them though. or you can take a look on Twincam.org in the Classifieds section

  8. as far as i know toyota coded the ecu's on the st/bt to go into limp mode when there is no input from the speed sensor. for example of this as there have been quite a few ae9x with the 20v conversion that have the problem of not having the right redline limit and its been due to not having the speed sensor connected. but if you want to avoid the problem just go with an aftermarket ecu :)
  9. first post updated for next month :y:
  10. as little red spirit said connect all the sensors. the ecu would currently be in what is called "limp mode" ie reducing the rev limiter because the speed sensor isnt connected plus not having the O2 sensor hooked up it will be using a shit load more fuel as well.
  11. are you sure its irs? because looking at the technical drawing from the toyota EPC thats online its doesnt look that way anyways here is the link >>>>AE95 AWD sedan rear suspension setup
  12. you know there is 2 versions of an ae9X awd sedan that are of the same concept of the ae95r wagons. so if you were going to do the awd conversion i would be trying to use the floor pan off the sedan rather than the wagon. But as stated above you have a few negatives that bolwer has stated above :y:
  13. no need to go interstate for an 1/8 mile theres one in Whyalla, albeit its mostly used by those who live in the iron triangle. :y: i digress, yes we do need the aforementioned motorsport park
  14. yeah no problems luc :y:, just giving you a few more options to look at, as I'm having a browse of the a/m ecu's out there for my gte build
  15. heres a link to a guy on twincam that can build a you a plenum custom 20v plenum has for everything else look like you have it well scouted and suited :y: i have heard good and bad about EMS but its the same with all aftermarket computers its all down to the tuner. not sure if you have looked into a Link or Vipec a/m ecu, as i do believe are both able to control the vvt quite well that is if you decide to stick with the standard cams :lolcry:
  16. try here Parts/impoters is a topic in the sa section or you can always use Let you fingers do the walking that and the search button in the upper right corner as well :P
  17. whoops i wasnt looking and doubled up on the post :P
  18. will depend on if you want a silvertop(ae101) or blacktop(ae111) wiring if you not so confident i suggest having it done professionally or by some that has done it previously, if you surf the forums or ask for help fairly sure someone will be able to give you pointers :P
  19. i need to pick you brain about a couple of things :P same here
  20. i do believe the target audience as you put it is rollaclub and not just a certain portion of it. On another note i sent one to my brother and his family who live in WA and they were impressed with the model variants and different styles incorporated into the calender JiP, i liked the setup of the last calender, with feature cars mixed in with the states(only with out the double of qld) but as you stated last time round it was a late addition :P
  21. oi quit trying to hijack the APH thread :)
  22. ill elaborate a bit more as well, i doing a little bit of searching on yahoo auctions for some JDM (YO) parts for my seca, and i came across cusco s-comp and JIC coilovers for the ae9x, they were auctions for brand new items as well so yeah they are available or you can buy coilovers them from ISC here in australia as well :) or if you want there is D2 and G4 coilovers available aswell(not that i would touch them with a 10ft barge pole)
  23. ok kind of died, been busy at job hunting :) at which i can say i have been successful anyways enough about me ah yes saturday arvo/evening is looking quite good hoping everyone agrees with that, (if not, will have to see what we can do) ok peope you just need a decide on what to do and if we should cycle it month to month ie go-karting then bowling then something else that way we arent doing the same thing month after month, except for the regular pizza meet of course :P all input is greatly appreciated
  24. this friday people :P keep your eyes on the time and a smile on your dial :)
  25. if its already got the 4age 16v its not worth the effort IMO, but if you have a 4afc/4afe its a decent upgrade :) but bear in mind that you will be putting an engine in with an unknown service history, when doing this conversion, don't skimp on parts, other wise you maybe doing another engine swap i the near future change or at the very least check the water pump (recommend changing it though) change the timing belt all ancillary belts cam/crank seals and a new clutch this is the very minimum i would personally do other than that good luck and have fun if you doing it yourself :P
