do you have a timing light? timing should be 10 degrees at idle with the TE1 and E1 terminals bridged, without the terminals bridged it should be 16 degrees at idle. now to set the timing once the motor is at TDC you need to bridge the TE1 and E1 terminals in the diagnostics box. (paper clip/wire is fine) check the base timing it should be 10 degrees at idle if not loosen distributor blots and turn the distributor, tighten bolts and check the timing, repeat if necessary unbridge the terminals and check timing it should be 16 degrees at idle this should be done with the engine at running temperature as well

the holes arent pre-drilled, but there should be a slight depression on the firewall which should be behind the "SR" sticker. basically everything else hiro posted is spot on :lol:

pistons, cas, map sensor,injector, loom, ecu and I/C from a 4agze, then strap a turbo on the side, run some oil and water lines, and plump in the I/C and you have yourself a relatively cheap turbo setup. thats if you rebuild or you can do a similar low boost turbo setup on a standard 4age using all of the above (minus the pistons) and have fun till it pops :P just depends on how fresh your 4age is or how cheap you want to do things anyways I'm getting way way off topic here :P Edit:rad32, i've changed the topic so that it suits the discussion

on a 4afc!!! :hmm: i must have a rare 4afc then if it doesnt have a computer :P mate its a carby no computer :P Anyways now to the original poster, nothing cheap can increase the power of a 4afc, its one of is the economy twincams that toyota developed. best suggestion here would be to work on the suspension, to get it handling nicely and then do an engine swap, or once funds permit buy another ae9x with a 4age then swap over all your suspension and have the best of both worlds :y: p.s i did the suspension on my 4afc corolla, then bought a one with an 4age later on down the track and swapped 90% of my suspension over to the 4age corolla

if its a place to get parts list it, but from what i recall he was banned for advertising or making a profit from rollaclub :P

look at her profile pic its just a straight metallic red :jamie: my opinion is to leave the wipers black, black grill(although I'm pretty its already a dark colour to begin with), dump the car on its nuts and go with a slightly larger wheel in black/charcoal with a polished lip
