  1. www.carmate.com for aftermaket and most of those kits don't suit the lines of a corolla theres is one that kinda suits but its still a bit "iffy" or you can go with a bumper bar that was never available on a corolla here in australia standard ae9x series 2 flavour = boring and how mine currently looks (FXGT front bar with a sprinter grill) or if your lucky you might find one of these bars, (Ive been looking for the lights, grill and bar for almost a year now, i like to keep my options open and have spare parts )
  2. Sorry people i forgot to recreate this thread after unpinning the other new members thread :D anyways here it is  and no the older members don't have to repost but you can do so if you wish  oh and don't mind me, I'm just chief dish washer ie no one important
  3. mounts should be exactly the same :lolcry: as they are almost the same engine only difference is the displacement :lovin:
  4. very true, and there is a high possibility of picking up a re-cond engine/low km motor from a wrecker
  5. they are both A-series engines and both being carby motors there is no need to change the fuel tank and lines(as they are the same for both 6AFC/4AFC). :no2: the jump in power isnt the greatest between the 6A and 4A carby motors Edit: damn my spelling/grammer is heading down the tubes :y:
  6. out of the factory the sx/sx seca/gti had inserts in the front struts, rears are a fully sealed unit, so unless the front had been replace with aftermarket struts, it should be a insert :jamie:
  7. that is who i was planning on getting my springs from :hmm: as for short stroke shocks i will depends on how low i go which wont be any lower than my car currently is, plus the bonus of the ae92 sx fronts struts is they have inserts that can be replaced/rebuilt, and i can gut the sx rear wet legs and convert them to accept an insert as well, i just wont have the height adjustability which is not huge concern. but i will have to look into the pedders coilover as a possible alternative. money wise it wont be as cheap as the d2/g4 etc etc coilovers, but also wont be as expensive as cusco or teins currently are would have been just as easy to use the front from an gti/seca built after june/july 1991 as they have a 258dia rotor of the same thickness as the ae102 :P but it does make a decent alternative to those who can't find the s2 brakes from the gti/seca :jamie:
  8. kings for the ae92, are 240lb/" front and 165lb/" rears which i know wont cut on the track :worship: i was looking at some custom made springs with my choice of spring rate. and i was asking purely for research purposes what you were running on your seca :y:
  9. the last large rollaclub cruise i attended someone decided it would be fun to get sideways at the first corner after leaving the carpark :worship: so not just skyline owner or vl owners Read - uncaring people period
  10. nice and cheap indeed, could i possibly trouble you for the spring rates as I'm setting up my daily for some weekend track work in the near future :worship:
  11. simple fix leave earlier to go to work :y: if you have to sit and snooze in the carpark. :worship:
  12. been on cruises during long weekends and have never had any issues/hassles before, it all depends time of day/cruise route and how big a group you get. Plus also depends on how many uncaring/unthinking persons who tag along and misbehave. it all dependent on what people what and if they have plans :worship:
  13. OP updated peoples i don't think i will be able to make this one as i do believe I'm working from 6pm onwards that friday night :jamie: (have to check my roster to make sure)
  14. rim design/colour combo can make or break the look of a car that being said an all black rim or a black rim with a polished lip would suit your car nicely
  15. quite possible since that dizzy cap look like it has been expose to some heat, i say replace it and see what happens
  16. *sigh* why is it that people that say they want to cruise always expect someone else to organise it. How about you do some leg work and make up one of you own :jamie: as for people turning up for the cruise it all depends on when where and time  ill be up for a cruising once my shifts settle down at work and i finish researching/planning and buying suspension components for my new suspension setup
  17. I'm guessing its not the hyundai that get the attention but more so the drivers if the are of the female variety and good looking? which reminds me SHAGGY on a statesman, plates are so old the silver has turned white :P:lolcry:
