  1. or find a twinky brace and keep the top mount :P and i do believe theres a couple for sale on another forum :jamie: http://www.twincam.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=21092
  2. ah no  better off with one from a twinky
  3. i do believe the c50 is on the 4ac, and the c52 was on the 4age 16v in the ae92(I'm unsure where the else the c52 is used)
  4. is this gonna turn into a hate session on kings? coz i mean i havent had a problem with my king lows and they are over 3 years old now. also its personal preference what others use :hmm:
  5. sweet ride. but where did the sx lip from the front disapper to?
  6. can someone say totally fuX0r3d
  7. king lows are roughly 30 - 40 mm lower and kings superlows are below that not sure how low though
  8. imho chuck the superlows out the windows as they are for looks only and get ur self a set of kings lows. my 2c worth with inflation = 5c
  9. this will depend on what model ae92 its for ie cs/csi/sx/gti/rv. as most of the shelf parts are for the 4age which came sx/gti oh and stewy i got my 2in cat back without a resonator and with sports muffler for $175(but this shop closed bout 2yrs ago), then i had the cannon put on later
  10. going from drums to discs on the rear. all parts needed off of a sx/gti both rear hubs and baking plates rotors, calipers, brake lines hand brake cables and the both rear trailing arms well cost me $700 for all parts only coz i got front and rear brakes off of a series2 seca sx. plus i had all calipers recond and disc skimmed and installed @ the same time some labour on top (only coz i was to lazy to do it myself) $500(including brake pads front and rear wheel alignments)
  11. i dunno how many time i said this and i probably say it again, would probably cheaper to buy a sx/gti or a already converted car. but i do have to say this its more fun coverting it urself and u have a sense of achievement once its done :) edit: i can't really throw stones since I'm build my ae92 cs up :lolcry:
  12. :)
  13. all a-series motors will fit in ur bay(ie. 4ac, 4afc, 4afe, 4age(16v/20v) 4agze(afm/map). and somebody correct me if I'm wrong but i do believe all the holes for the auto to manuel conversion are there already. also as raven said u need to update the fuel system, brakes and redo the wiring.
  14. using a front cut and replacing all belts, tensioners, water pump, new clutch, rear disc's, efi fuel lines, efi tank, associated wiring and odd and ends that will be needed ie oils and coolant. i would say be round the $6000 - $7000(including price of cut)thats if u do all the work ur self or then there the option of buying a converted corolla for bout the same price. the down side of both options is that u never know what the engine has been treated like before u get it. but another down side for the cuts is that it getting harder to find low km cuts (not that they don't exist just harder to find) mind u the price i said is just an estimation from a few guys that have performed a few of these conversions. anyways mate goodluck with ur decision either way :)
  15. :) need i say more
  16. welcome to rollaclub :jealous:
  17. "not the edsel u didnt cut up the edsel" :jealous: gotta love herbie :D
  18. well since the 2a is an a series motor, yes the 4a is a direct bolt in conversion, the most difficult part is the wiring. oh and plus swapping over the efi tank, fuel lines and brakes :jealous:
  19. chrismiass: as u said u need whole rear brake setup ie. calipers, rotors, hubs, handbrake cables, and lines. and no u don't need the rear trailing arm on the ae82's or go to the link below explains everything aswell :jealous: http://www.twincam.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=1063
  20. whoops forgot this was on :jealous: i guess thats what u get when u work nights :D
  21. same goes here in adelaide esspecially on the back roads that hug the hills  and i was hoping to see them drift down hill ahh well suppose u can't have it all.
  22. i wouldnt bother modding the 4afe its one of the eco versions of the 4a motor. Instead save that money and put it toward either the conversion or making ur ae92 handle first. my 2 cents or i should say 5 cents with inflation
  23. well there are people that prefer quiet exhausts  even if they are enthuiasts
  24. yeah np at all, like i said was on my way to and from the meet up point, just glad u were able to put up with the exhaust note for so long   for rolla_4's 20v :D
  25. i agree to a point but then again the ae82 twinky has front and rear swaybars. so if the ae82 cs is like the ae92 cs it doesnt have a front swaybar from the factory, i would be installing a standard front swaybar from an ae82 twinky and leaving the rear standard
