  1. Motivation was provided by my size 12 boots! has come up a treat, much better for the minimal extra work that was put in. Everything is clean and tidy again! Its a pisser about the grill, it was going to be thrown in unpainted as its a temp setup... then we gave it a coat of jam and it looks sweet as! The candy red was for a laugh but looks fine enough. You should all hear this thing... cams over like no tomorrow... nice work Tate. JP (Jarrad)
  2. Hahahahaha, I came to your suprise party but had no idea when your bday was! I'm on the 17th, your the 18th and Mels the 20th... Ok, as for getting some work done. Saturday night I wont be available as were heading out for Mels Bday, will give you lot a hand whereever possible though through the day... after work... What do you have on your list that needs doing?
  3. Tate, whens your birthday chief? Funny you should mention the turning older part, Mines on the 17th.... Time for a drink!
  4. One man show..pfttt... Come on man! Who bolted your twins on? and ground your manifold to fit? painted the radiator support? and who was working on it before you even got there? hahaha, we did our share for some drinks! hahahaha, I even loaned out the shed and backyard! Hey, it was a job well done by all, even if we were and still are all taking the piss! I just can't wait to get the single on and hear this camy note! Will be even better once the twins go back on. So, whos up for the Fridge Swapmeet Sunday? Coldest swap meet in Aus! Apart from work Tate thats the only time I'm unavailable this weekend, help yourself to the shed at any time though dude. Will catch you then
  5. And more pics for your eyes! Saturday nights efforts lifted from the Vic section post. Oh, some of the photo's from last night... After a few drinks the camera hand wasnt as steady as it could have been... sorry for the blur! JP
  6. Wont get a reply from Ash on here, he hasnt been on for some time... although, you never know your luck! He lives (lived?) in Bendigo but gets around to many race events so he may be the bloke. Just on a side note, check the date of the last post before reviving old threads, some people don't appreciate out of daters being brought back into the limelight. Mind you, I didnt realise its been that long since this thread was updated! JP
  7. Well, yes... I think were all mad. My ears still hurt after the missus cracked it with me for firing it up at 11:45ish PM! Didnt go down to well at all! Engine came up pretty well actually, looks heaps better than what was in there and has really brought the engine bay up to spec. Just need to spend an hour getting the inlet manifold off again (yes, it will take that long) and put a set of manifold studs in the head to make things easier. Have to get the intake and exhaust manifolds machined to the same thickness as well, something that slipped our minds saturday! So really, not much to do now. Thanks to all that came out and gave us a hand. Was a bloody good night, will happily lend a hand where needed for other attending rollaclub members! And Cam... you forgot your shoes! :( JP
  8. Oh, some of the photo's from last night... After a few drinks the camera hand wasnt as steady as it could have been... sorry for the blur! JP
  9. hehe, 10 minutes... much quicker than most! Rolla is sleeping after a hard night in the garage, sounded good bar an air leak that has to be fixed. Once thats sorted it should be sweet. Then the usual things need to be done, tune n balance the carbs and hit the dyno to see whats coming out the tail and go from there. Will be a very nice combo once up and hooning! Oh, it looks swet as now too.. JP
  10. this is going to be sweet. Time to get the fire cranking! See you all soon
  11. Matt, your more than welcome rounds mate. I will be home sometime after 1pm (finish work at 12 and takes me 45 to get home) so anytime after then is sweet. Gathering is BYO whatever you like... have plenty of room in the shed etc and it should be nice and warm with the fire going. Also, if your keen and don't have to drive anywhere a suitable drinking hat might be of use.. but remember, responsible drinking only. This means no making drinking buddies with next doors Cat or trying to make love to Tates 26 wags... Doogs, sweet sig on your posts! Also, we will catch you sometime in the near future, just have to get another meet nd greet going. Come to think of it I will re-name this thread, its more of a meet and greet than anything else! Besides, were only going to be working on Tates car.... hehehe Hope to see you all soon, all are welcome, just let me know either via a PM or posting it up on here. Can also call me or text me on 0400843198. And, I'm not affraid of posting it up... ady is 110 Underbank Blve, Bacchus Marsh. Tates is 134 Mas... ahhhhh, only joking :) JP
  12. Ahhhhhh, yeah....
  13. hehe, the Val is coming for sure... can't go on a run and not have some fun in it! And hey, I was almost going to sell it for another rolla... til I told the missus... hmmmmmmm Once we decide on where we are going we can then decide on the route. So lets start with people throwing ideas up for where to go to.
  14. Yeah, no right turns... could end up anywhere! lol Ahh, looks like I will be cleaning up the shed tomorrow, will actually be room for people to kick back and hand us some tools... will even clean the couch off and get the fire going! And Cam, the lawns growing beautifully thanks to you... but the grass on the road out the front is a pain in the ass! See you all next Sat, will be sweet JP... or Peter as it may be...
  15. Sorento???? Jeeeez, I need to start putting $50 a week away then... *puts on white coat* I calculate that with petrol being around $1.80per litre by then I will need to spend... hmm... approx $180 in fuel! Will be about a 300km round trip for me hahahaha Could just cheat and take the ferry over... cuts my travel in half! Anywhere we go we need either something to do or something to see. Food to eat and bourbon to drink, but not too much. And petrol applenty! JP
  16. So I'm guessing Webers didnt like the new rolla after all??? Might have to have a word with him! lol Welcome Alex... Jump in the car with the boys next weekend and head to my place (did someone say "road trip"?), you must be of alright sorts if you can put up with Leeroy and Stu! hehe Offer is open to all that can make it to the marsh on Saturday arvo too... JP
  17. Ha! thats a pisser Harun... Ok, Straight up I will tell you to go see a trimmer. I'm a trimmer myself and there is nothing worse than having to fix someone elses stuff ups. Now, not saying your not going to do a good job, just saying that iff you bugger it up someone will have to fix it! I havent had a look at the factory moulded lining so I'm not sure if I can help you there but the "nowmal" lining with the roof bows (metal rods) behind it is pretty easy. You can either take your old one to a trimmer and they will copy it and fit it yourself or get them to fit it to the car. Its a pretty straight forward job proveded you know what your doing and have access to some contact adhesive and a heat gun... just don't heat it up so much that it melts!!!!! As for a custom solid board like the commodores etc, it would be a right pain in the ass. It can be done, but to get it to look right as aposed to just getting it to fit are two different things. You also have to remember, if you have a solid lining that clips in etc, how are you supposed to get it in the car? Those door openings arent all that big! Anyway, enough from me... Hope some of this helps. JP
  18. Munch Munch Corolas for Lunch! hehehe Yeah, funnily enough I was talking to some of the boys about a cruise this arvo... I had better start saving petrol money for the wagon!

    Help

Howd you go withthe car chief?
  20. Antique tyres are a great place to head to if you want to spend some money. I deal with them a little bit but mainly for whitewall flappers. PLus, it helps I'm in the hotrod scene so I get things cheaper. I would recoment sumitomos (I think), I will double sheck but most places can ge them and they are available in a thin band whitewall (about 1inch). I am planning on running these on my wags as well. On the upside, 185/70/14's are only $90ish a pop... check what the 12's are. Instant whitwalls are also the way to go. About $100 for all of your wheels done however you want them. JP
  21. Ahh the joys of being a P plater... don't miss that! Welcome to all of the new members I have missed, should be getting on here a little more often now... Have been bloody flat out catching up with life so RC was put on hold. Just so all of you know, I'm on the hunt for another rolla! hehehe. The VS is too damn thirsty. JP
  22. ahh, yeah, thats about it!
  23. Ok ok, cheers for the upload of the vid. trust me, I was pretty happy to see the wags in action! A couple of things. This has to be edited and a link put back up here. The vid is great but has to have the offending parts removed for view on here (you know what they are). Going to send a PM to Johno to explain a bit more, no ones in shit here, I just need to make sure that noone gets in shit. The vids free to stay on youtube as it has no reference to Rollaclub so if you would like the long version have a search. Will get back to you all. Sorry, but its how it has to be... Especially after the GOR vid trouble. JP
  24. don't worry, it happens. Hope everyhting is ok. JP
