Great Ocean Rd Cruise. 27-28jan '07 Aus Day Weekend
TheNOBBLER replied to TheNOBBLER's topic in VIC / Melbourne
Well(ish) said stu! Ok, have some news re-video. Nick has had a kind word to me reguarding the content of the vid and as such I have removed it from public viewing for the time being. I have not been told to do this but I felt it needed to be done. I must admit, the street racing part was not a sensible thing. Even though it was fun at the time it shouldnt be looked back on in a video as something that is acceptable. That also includes some camera whore action! During my haste to get something up for everyone to view I didnt even think of the problems this might cause for the people involved and Rollaclub itself. So I send my appologies to Nick (in no way is he a bad guy here, just doing the right thing and looking out for everyone and the site) and to all of the people from the run. If I put anything up after this I will be making sure I'm thinking straight beforehand and keep it "clean" as such. Anyway, we will have to get some of Teddy's photos up once he gets them! he took a stack! can't wait to see the ones of our saturday night entertainment! Sorry again , Jarrad -

bloody seca drivers... they have all that extra room and think they need to show it off! lol Thanks all for the thanks, will have the next one up asap... wont be as much on it as we didnt take as much on the way home but we will have some good driving bits of me following the beemer on a lovely winding rd! -
If they are a trimatic (I'm still not sure...) then std they will fall appart if you throw turbo grunt at them! If they are basically the same box as the Holden ones then the can be modded to handle alot of grunt. They run trimatics behind vl turbo engines, they just have to be made "bulletproof" as such. If your running a stocker it wouldnt be such an issue. Remember, they call them a traumatic for a reason... otherwise goodluck!

Victorian Motor Racing Championship Round 1

Cheers, not bad for a mobile phone! Steve Frawly's 25 is one nice piece of work, its running an almost std blacktop and manages to be quite competitive with the 2litre cars... great to watch! The blue 2 door in the bottom left is running a really interesting setup, he cut the intake side of the head off and made his own with a piece of alloy. I havent seen it as yet (bonnet was taped shut) but from what he was telling me its a really wild setup. Hows a jump from 86rwkw to 125ish rwkw with the new head! -
Well, after a big day at work and being busy around home I made my way to Calder park raceway for a look, hoping to catch up with Muller in the process... I missed him by about 10mins! Mind you, it was 9pm! As it was the first event for the year they had a day/night meeting, I tell you what, it made for a great nights viewing. Shat all over sitting on the couch! I must admit, I have fallen in love with the Super Tin Top class! You can pretty much run whatever car you like as long as it has the balls to keep up with the pack! In one race they had 2 Ex glen seaton v8 supercars, a gt40 replica, various rx7's, rotary powered Gemini's, a Porche, a Volvo and a clubman 7 style car! Sure beats boring v8 supercars on the tv! The 2 litre class was a blast as well! No less than 4 Rollas in the ranks made it very good to watch, Muller was telling me that the white ke25 was 3sge powered, I know the red 25 is blacktop powered (met him at rnd 5 last year), the yellow beast runs an sr20 with a couple of webbers or the like and the blue rocket is running a 7age combo thats now a 1.9l with a wild custom head! Got to love the 1, 2, 5, 6 finishing places for them too! Anyway, as I didnt think I was going to make it (I just got home, racing finished at 11:15!) I didnt take my camera so you will have to put up with some motorolla shots! Enjoy! (I hope...) Cheers, J.

hehe, so true! -
Scott, can't believe hes alive! thats crazy! Like you said, one person that was meant to live! good one too webbers, its already a flat back rolla... maybe they were going for a flat front too? Either way, its not good to see crashes like that. I was on my way home yesterday driving through peak hour traffic on the tulla fwy when I noticed a nice looking ae92ish rolla sedan, pulled along beside it and had a look when BANG... it ran up the ass of a ne falcon at about 60ks... bugger! I couldnt even stop because of the traffic! but the seemed ok? It happens that easily.

better get it sorted then! My rollas still going thankfully... might be time for an aftermarket ecu though...
-
I'm not sure what Auto they use (trimatic?) but if you can the stall modified and a shift kit done it would be pretty good, it wouldnt be such a slug off the line then. Let us all know what you end up doing...
-
Rolla boy would be the bloke to chat to I think, pm him to get his thoughts... or await his posts!
-
Yeah, good choice Poz. You wont regret it.. appart from the bleeding fingers and cramps in your back from blocking it back! hehe, it will be all good!
-
Thats gold! nice work mate!

I havent had as much time as I would have liked lately but its on its way... just sifting throught the 5ish ours of it (there was more than I thought!) Jarrad -
Hey there, nice ride man... very nice indeed! Just a question, wh the pintara box? Is it stronger? Forgive me if this is a stupid question, I'm not so up to date with the Nissan gear!
-
hahaha, nice, very nice...
-
Yeah, it was a real one... I had a good look at the car when I took the pics and it was a complete "runner", someone had already nocked off the cd player... or they took it out so it couldnt be stolen! It was tempting to grab parts (hell, it was around the corner from my place!) but I was late for tafe already! From what I could tell, the car hit the tree and kinda bounced off it and smashed into the kindergardens fence where it rests in the photos... bounced off it a bit though! its a good fence! The trail of parts it left told me it wasnt a setup... there were parts in the kinder playground!
-
maybe changing the radio station??? lol
-
Yeah, its pretty crazy! Look at the Dash! thats gotta hurt! I wish I got a pic of the tree and the path of destruction the car left! There were bits of the guard and glass everywhere! The speed limit for the road is 70k's and there were no skidmarks at all... not good!
