the thing with a three row core is that its thicker, so a small amount of airflow has a lesser effect on it and it holds the heat. but has greater cooling capacity when it has decent airflow. alex had a 3 row in his first ke10 and wasn't impressed with the heat soak. even at midnight on a rainy night, mine will sit and rise above half on the temp gauge after 10-15 minutes idling (long goodbye :D) if you're lazy like me, just change to plastic 4k engine fan on the water pump and run a stock shroud, make sure the blades of the fan are half in and half out of the shroud. running the underside engine tray also helps cool things down when you're moving. that being said, i don't have either on my motor :D

solexs just aren't as well-a refined carb as webers and dellortos, they got out of tune alot and if you're changing to sidedrafts they're not the way to go for the effort involved weber vs dellorto. depends who you talk to :D the way i see it, webers are potentially a better carb, but more difficult to tune properly. dellortos are nearly comparable in their quality (flow, mixture changability, atomisation, etc) but easier to tune, so you can potentially get it right with dellortos easier than you can with webers that's just from reading things on the internet and talking to people though, so i could be wrong. there's a speed-pro book about tuning sidedrafts, i've got it at home, i'll see what it says

actually your thermofan will work better in the enginebay. with a shroud to draw air from all over the face of the colling core, instead of just a circle in the middle

that's a MASSIVE amount of lift you're running there! that's a pretty decent cam though, similar to mine and teddy's, should be nice to drive gemi pistons in a 5k, that's a new one. i wouldn't be revving it over 7400 very often, your bore walls are going to be pretty thin. keep an eye on your temperature, consider even changing to a slightly lower thermostat and just changing your oil more often. make sure your thermofan is very well shrouded, or change back to 4k plastic non-clutch engine fan for possibly better cooling that's a 1542cc motor, almost as big as a 4age :D
