Had a look in my aquarium on monday morning to see how everything's going and low and behold i spot a little fish swimming around :(. As tank companions i've got three stupid guppies, two male and a female, had an idea for a few days that the female was pregnant. And from the other end of the tank a little voice from my daughter pipes up "Oh, look, baby fish". Rough counting put them at around 20 of the little phuckers :) Spent the day at work thinking of what to do with them...... ditch them down the toilet ?? Give them to the cat ?? Got home and realized that the girlfriend's Siamese Fighting Fish likes live food :D wonder how it'd go with the babies. The thing goes nuts when i dump a few of them in the tank with him. Found a good reason to keep the babies and the stupid guppies now :)

When KE30_KE35_KE55 said about a flat board to sand with he wasn't far from the right idea. What you need is a board of around 400mm long and about 45mm wide, firm but soft enough to form to the shape of the body your sanding back. Their either called a "speed file board" or a "longboard". Some have a thin (5mm or so) stripe of foam running the length of the board, some don't. Might be able to make your own from a length of the plastic type cutting board found in most kitchens. A sanding block is good for general sanding back etc but not so good in what your wanting to do in filling in the low spots and knocking off the highs, a longboard would be a better idea. The longboard "floats" over the top of the low spots missing them knocking down the highs where as the sanding block will fall into the lows and "run up" the highs.

I had an old school mate who's father was like that - an alright guy but get him in a bad mood..... But have a look see first off. You should be able to figure out what you think is ok and what's a little "odd" - a typical joint operates in fairly the same fashion no matter where its located. Try with giving the joints a bit of fresh grease. If you can A continuous squeaking would be more like a suspension part thats ran dry with lube or the springs have worn out the rubber pads and are now sliding against their seats. A noise more akin to grinding would be closer to dry running wheel bearings or their running with a build up of grit. Which is not good either way. But all in all while your re-packing the joints may as well do the wheel bearings at the same time. But you'd only really be able to re-pack the joints if they have grease nipples.

Jack the car up place it on chassis stands, crawl under the car and get someone to fiddle with the steering wheel while your watching the joints etc. Be a bit harder might even have better results is to do the same thing get someone to fiddle the steering wheel while your poking around the front wheels looking and feeling the joints etc.. JiP's continuous squeaking could very well be a lack of lubrication

A Metabo rep came into work a few weeks back and he showed us the difference between an impact driver and a rotary hammer drill on a block of concrete (about as thick as a normal house brick) - by the time the impact driver had made a dent in the block the hammer drill made the block look like soft butter. Yep, OMG its a good feature but OMG just how dumb were they in hoping that the average slug driver would remember they've left the light switch on.... Its got a few things like that... good features let down cause of stupid thinking.. Take the "hold" button, good feature let down cause you have to reach down, way down to the handbrake, fiddle around, give up fiddling so you look down so that you can press the button again to release the brakes or what ever it is. Why not just a simple $1.50 micro switch on the throttle body ? Or at least having the button easy to get to. Good feature, stupid thinking. Kinda wondering if i should have a look under the bonnet and see what the slug is really powered by Oh yeah i miss the lancers fly-by-wire throttle control.
