  1. On my last car it came with a ford xa gt/xb gt style tip. Rectangle with rounded off ends bit like a squished oval. Always got comments and over heard comments of puzzlement to where the cannon tip was cause the car had to have the exhaust at the back of the car, with a look to the side and looking under the arse realizing that the oval shape thing that blended in with the bumper was the exhaust tip

  6. To me thats pretty true - monday friday cars. An ex of mine, her first car was a ke55 and the first 40 minutes of ownership was spent on the side of the road cause of an overheated motor. Didn't cook the motor or anything just that the temp started climbing a bit too high so we pulled over till it cooled down. On a trip to brissie the motor figured it was time to blow up and the car spent about two weeks at a mechanic at Beerwah getting about 2 grand (yes 2g's) thrown at it for a new motor, radiator etc. But we always had some little problem with it. Anyway, WGMG - the supervisor for the counter staff out the front. His girlfriend walked out on him, so now it his mission to ruin everybody's life at work. Even knowing that he was told by management not to do it, he shuffled his crew around to different desks and now they all have to go through their clientele and give them their "new" direct phone number, everything they had on their computers have to be moved over, bookwork, paperwork - everything. And the only time he allowed his crew to do this was at lunch so that it wouldn't interfere with their work time, but if a customer came in they had to serve the customer and he wanted it done by the end of their lunch. He wont acknowledge you if you say good morning to him or anything. My supervisor got fed up with yesterday so as this guy walked past, "Mornin <John>." (not real name), nothing not even a look. "MORNIN, PHUCK HEAD !" <John> looked back at my super "Yeah you heard that didn't ya !"
  7. 80 profile tire with about 15-20 pound of pressure would surely fix that little problem
  8. VL ? The old VL was renowned for it The thermo works by blocking the system till the coolant gets to a pre-set temp and opens up (done by a bit of wax or something). But it doesn't open all the way so that it can create a restriction in the coolant flow and in turn this restriction helps in drawing more heat away from the block and more so the head. There would be to it but i didn't bother with a google. How about the radiator ? Did you do the radiator ? With flushing, i've always done it myself till the day that i did it and then went to a radiator shop and had it done there. It was an eye opening experience to just how much shut come from the motor.....

  10. I'll agree with that. Murphy's Law No. 21 - When something phuck's up he's bound to bring his mates along for the party. No. 133 - When you've set out a plan on how your going to spend your money, Murphy will always always bring one his best mates along either "Unexpected Cost" or "Unplanned for Bill" No. 134 - If either of Murphy's best mates turn up their sure to bring the other one as well, and maybe a couple of others for a nice little party.
  11. I guess its the drugs their on :) :)
  12. I tend to give mine a clip to the back of the head (or at least have a go at her) if she tries to something rather dumb. Today the latest with my dumb arse supervisor - In the morning our delivery driver had to run out a pallet of 25 rolls of plastic wrap so both my supervisor and i unpacked a full pallet (50 rolls) of the stuff and where do we put it..... on to another pallet that already had 10 rolls of the stuff on it. :) In the afternoon i had to drop the order i was doing just to give him a hand which he could have done by himself. Went back to what i was doing, and then he asks my to take what i had grabbed for him and follow him down the back to place the stuff on a pallet, he walks back up to front ups on the forklift scoots back down the back to grab the pallet and brings it back up the front...... :fuzz: It all of a sudden dawned on me that the idiot doesn't know any better - it doesn't bother him if he double or triple handles something cause thats just how he operates. Thinking about it, i now feel sorry for the poor sod. No wonder he's such a dumb idiot at times :)
  13. Bicycle bicycle bicycle I want to ride my bicycle bicycle bicycle I want to ride my bicycle I want to ride my bike I want to ride my bicycle I want to ride it where I like
  14. Hey man i think you just got I' m no mucha ayuda con la pregunta. I used http://babelfish.yahoo.com/
  15. My first car was a ke30 with a 4k 5 speed. The day that it got written off by a drunk was about the worst day i could think of and i've always had a soft spot for the '30s and in a way the '55s as well, so i've always been wanting to get another one to fill the void in my life. Almost two years back i finely was able to get another one, a ke55, and so the ae82 seca twin cam had to get moved on to make room for the '55. And now every time i'm in another car i think to myself and realize - i truly miss my seca. But not the motor god i really got to hate that motor Maybe one day i might get another one and swap out the four banger for a decent motor
  16. Arh come on it can't be that hard..... For me it wasn't that hard - the middle name was already picked as soon as we found out we was having a boy "Rex" which just meant his first name had to be a J - J for Jacob. I think it worked out really good, cause just about everybody calls him Junior Rob and that all he needs is a pair of glasses and he'll be my mini-me. Just have to get on someones back who's calling Jac, Jac-ee
  17. Yeah fairs fair i guess. I've seen the type postings you've said about. But how about the idea i suggested, to stop people from bumping their thread back to the top by replacing the reply buttons with an edit button for the threads "owner" and a PM button for others. It sounds draconian, but its a two fold idea - it enforces people to observe the 5 day rule and it also gives you guys a little bit more time up your sleeves to do something better
  18. A strip joints banned here in Toowoomba but we're getting a brothel. Go figure Yes, its what i'm associating with "Fire[stripper] pole"
  19. You've just given me an idea. Before i do a pedal box swap, i think it might be an idea to set the box up for an hydraulic clutch before it goes into the car and just have the hole plugged while i'm getting around with a cable clutch
  20. A four wheel drive auto shop would be the place to try. Like, ARB and the such. For me if i was to go for a locker i'd be steering to an ARB air locker, little more in the cost then a full time lock/spool or a part time locker (eg: Detroit truetrac or a soft locker, etc) but you have the option of when you need/want the diff un/locked. But also as i've found out - the earlier hilux is weaker then the later version. If your really after strength maybe look at a Dana 60. Pee's all over the world famous ford 9"
