  1. I was just thinking the same thing till i re-read the thread The standard mounts can be used but it'll leave the engine on an angle - front of the motor will be over to the left side where as the back is over to the right side. But anywhat, from memory TA22 mounts can be used. :hammer: paint stripper and alloy.... i don't think it'd be a good idea.... But just read the labeling to be sure
  2. 2005 - 2007 Lancer in general (CG - CH). But i don't remember what the centre hole size is I've an idea that the new CJ (2008 + ) is the same stud pcd But not the VR-X model (or evo for that matter) cause its five stud Just a note of caution - don't forget the centre hole size, you don't the weight resting on the studs, if it can be helped
  3. Oh yes i know that feeling all to well. And not just family do's but also last minute "we're going to such and such a place and who cares that you've made your plans for what ever over a week ago....". So i tend to get stubborn, pig-headed and just down right slow in what i'm doing.... I've even gone out for dinner with my face, arms etc covered in grease and shut. Not my issue that someone made a last minute change to the plans and never bothered to tell my...
  4. Where the Logan Motorway connects to the Pacific Motorway. Went from the Pacific up over the overpass onto the Logan. Saw the 80 sign but some how missed the three 60 signs. Went to the speedway last night. Was good including at the start of the racing when the sprint cars came out and started throwing little stones and clay around the track but it had my boy ducking for cover cause of the noise and the dirt being thrown up. Climbed into the pram that had a rain cover over it and he chinned up and started getting into the action. At the end of the night he was on my lap watching the racing with me.... Had a cover up to give him some protection. Was a good night except for having to put up with a 4-5 year old girl that was throwing fist sized (her size fist) lumps of clay back at the cars and telling any and everything to "Phuck of c*&^t" amongst all the other swearing and screaming she was making. And her parents were nowhere to be seen. Was grinding my teeth cause it was about the only thing i could do to stop myself from giving the kid a kick up and over the bloody fence. If she was mine i would have with the words trailing after her of "cut ya crap out and show some respect...."
  5. Has anybody received the 950 yet ? Going by the radio and tv everybody body spent up big over the easter break. None of my workmates have it yet along with my girlfriend's mates haven't seen it. So has anybody received the bonus ?
  6. ;) tool  ;)
  7. The story's i heard and one's from one of my workmates about the one here in toowoomba is that they shouldn't even be trusted to clean a toilet let alone anything to do with a car At the least thats what i'd be going for I thought the ae9x would have been adjustable with the camber cause my old ae82 was all round.
  8. I think i may have lost my license today all cause i was too busy watching where i was going, keeping up with the traffic and didn't notice that the speed zone had dropped from 80 to 60. The cop was telling me that i would have driven past three 60 signs. And if i want to i can pop into the Beenleigh cop shop at a mutually agreed time so that i can check out my photo. And all cause i was too bloody busy watching the road that i didn't really know to well and watching and keeping up with the other cars i have now been copped with a bloody fine for doing 77 in a 60 zone that was marked out three (3) phuckin times. PHUCK What gears my grinds Three bloody times i missed the 60 sign and now i have to pay for my phuck up.
  9. Cause it makes her look rich and famous. Either that or she did what i did one time and forgot what my pin number was to my spendings card.....
  10.
  11. Oh yes i know that feeling all to well. Most weekends i think i'm doing pretty good if i get half of the stuff i want done. And half of what i'm wanting to do gets done cause its places that i want to visit while we're running around town. The other half i don't even get a chance cause i'm too bloody busy chasing after kids cause all their bloody mother does is scream at them from the indent she has in the couch that she doesn't want to bloody move out of.... She went away for the weekend just gone - a mother's weekend camp or something. So i thought all good things about it, the kids were more or less behaving themselves. So i was going to get out and mow the back yard, finely, and do some general backyard odd jobs.... but oh no the phuckin weather wouldn't have bar of that... each time i set a foot outside it starting pissing down... So little ol' me thought oh well i may as well re-do the filter etc on the fish tank. Half way through it, disconnecting the lights, filter etc, cutting up pipes, gluing pipes etc. Got about half way and starting to dig though the parts i ordered to finish the job and realised that i'm missing some of the stuff cause they've sent the wrong items. So i thought, phuck it, and used what they sent me cause i had to get the filter and lights back up and running and i just about trashed the garage looking for a pair of hose clamps that i'm firmly believing Borrowers have taken.... Just can't win either way i go at times
  12. Thats almost as funny as the time i lost my glasses :y: As with Hiro, i do the same thing. But for me its usually around the house somewhere so i just grab the house phone and try ringing it. After a few goes i then remember that i tend to leave the stupid thing on vibrate only......
  13. With the air con does the fan itself work ? How about the interior light ? Cause from what i can read on the wiring diagram in the book is that the a/c motor is fused in with the interior light and clock, but the power it needs to switch itself on comes from the switch for the heater fan - which is pretty normal in its own right. Ok, now thats sorted going back into the wiring diagram again, do you have dash lights, hi-beam lamp, heater lamp ? Cause from what i can figure out from the diagram is that all three "issues" are connected by a White/Black wire which also connects to these lamps. Its a grounding wire and at a guess it'll be up around the dash area Tracing back through the diagram - do the brake lights work ? Their connected to the hazard switch via the fuse box. I'm starting to get double vision looking at this diagram but i'd say pull out the fuse box and see if you have power on the battery side of it. Starting with the fuse for "Stop Turn" - the "Wiper Wash" fuse is connected to the same power wire.
  14. That should be the flasher can. They only have three wires hanging off it at the most. Located in the drivers kick panel. But anywho, what he said ^^^ And that relay... is an aftermarket job. If what your saying is that the blinkers stopped blinking after you disconnected it, it's more then likely the car once upon time had a tow hitch fitted and these relays were fitted to take the increased load off the flasher can
  15. I'd sooner here the noise of exhaust brakes slowing the trucks down then having the fearsome smell of burning and over heating brakes following after the runaway truck on its headlong plunge down the mountain leaving a trail of cars, bodies, trees in its wake Edit - Greenies = Phuckin wankers or at least 2/3's of 'em
  16. Might just help a bit more Engine codes
  17. Have you got a repair manual for the jigger ? Have a look in the wiring section at the fuses cause most times you'll find that on the fuse panel it'll only say what each fuse is mostly related to, say for example, the ciggie fuse could also be the fuse for the parkers and the radio but since there's only enough room for one item and everybody smoked including the best mates dog and not every car had a radio so cigarette lighter fuse was used. From memory the flash can is up under the dash right side of the column. Might also be the ideal time to start cleaning up the wiring mess cause you could even have a short happening
  18. You know that is one thing that gives me the shuts so i can understand your supervisor and where he's coming from with your phuck ups. So yeah i'd do the same thing in the vain hope that it'd teach you to fill in the paper work correctly. Its basically called time wasting for you and quite possibly others around you in fixing the pointless problem. So yeah i'm with Red - fill out the paper work properly and it won't happen again
  19. Yes and yes As far as i know the ae71 struts are the same as the ke70 and all you have to do is swap the top hat over. Thats the top part of the strut that bolts to the frame of the car. Your not really gaining very must in the swap over - maybe a little less un-sprung weight that'd be about it. I'm not really to sure with the ae86 struts, but i don't think it'd be that hard. Where as the e7 struts doing these struts would be a lot better - better brakes, easier to find suspension upgrades etc etc
  20. Went to the chiropractor on saturday. 205 bucks later for a consultation plus x-rays to find out just how bad my back is. But the real eye opener of seeing the x-rays is that for almost 30 years i've been running around with a break between my tail bone and my spine. Going back there on wednesday for my first servicing
