In two minds about the ITB's (if their from the 20v) cause normally its a custom manifold to have them fitted up. And unless you can do it yourself with the parts, materials and tooling its generally not really that cheap. The same can be said for the forged internals - upside is higher strength, downside is higher cost. I know where your coming from with what you said Trav, but if its a road car i wouldn't be too concerned with forged stuff, maybe go as far as the gze crank but i think that'd be about it.

T-series g'box with the A-series bellhousing should bolt up fine. But i don't know if the flywheel will be ok to use cause the motor as far as i know wasn't used in a RWD car. But it does have the RWD mounts (or at least from what i've seen and could work out). You'll have to relocate a few of the bolt-on bits, brackets and pipes so that you can get to the mounts. The next problem is that the dizzy is at the back of the head....

Same same, with the lower limit. The Bruce highway north and south of Gympie is the same with a lower limit, once the limit was a 100 and now cause of a high road carnage its been dropped to 90. Bugs me having to sit at the 90 limit, i'm ok with the watching of the speedo cause i just set the cruise for it. But the thing that really gets under the skin is that some dickhead will race up behind and sit right on my arse, finely figure out that i wont be intimidated to speed up and pass at the first possible chance which would include double lines, traffic coming, etc etc.

Or in your face where everybody and their friendly police person (hehe) can see it and want to class you as a "hoon" ? When i had my old '30 i had a k-mart cheapie (about a 3.5" thing) sitting on the steering column. It was easy to read due to the size, nice centre location (i could read the tacho and the speedo at the same time). And it was below the dash line meaning it was out of everybody else's sight and most importantly out of my sight while watching the road.

Yes the "g" head will fit on the 4a-f block. But, you'll need the crank mounted cam belt cog, the cam belt, the water pump (the only difference between them is a piece of metal), the belt covers and every bit thats bolted to the head including head bolts from the 4a-g to be able to use the "g" head on the "f" block. And depending on what pulleys are used on the water pump, alternator etc you'll also need the 4a-g crank pulley. You could say that in a nut shell you'll need a 4a-g motor so that you can fit the "g" head to the "f" block. And the "f" block also misses out on a few things externally - On the 4a-g intake manifold there's a support bracket that goes from the manifold to the block, the "f" block has the boss for it but its not drilled and tapped out. And most importantly the "f" block doesn't have the bosses drilled and tapped for the rwd mounts.

AFM the spring can be reset to give a stronger fuel mixture. Where as the MAP you can use a pair of resistors to change the fuel mixture. MAP would be better cause of being able to change the mixture in the cabin while driving. Aftermarket ECU - Megasquirt

I think i can do one up on kit cars But i'm not going to bother taking a pix of it cause apart from it being a rolla, its in just to many boxes and i'm slowly piecing it back together just like a kit And so with a "fair shake of the sauce bottle" KITT from the 80's Knight Industries Three Thousand (aka the mustang) is way cooler. But as a kid watching Knight Rider and thinking just how awesome it'd be having a car that could drive itself. And then later on finding out it was nothing more then someone stuffed in the boot it still sounds pretty cool

ke55 - the '30 has both mounting points. You can use the ke55 auto cross member but you'll have to weld the other one to it (ke55 manual x-member) Don't quote me but the hole in the auto version is longer
