  1. Haven't had experience with mod plates on roadworthies but I'm sure some mechanics will just say yes thats ok it has a mod plate. They probably should check them though.
  2. The guy I bought it of was a car detailer for toyota where I used to work. he had it sitting in the garage for months wanted 500 bucks for it I offered him 200 and picked it up the next day. Its got a bit of panel work needed but not too bad for a $200 car. thanks for the comments Jarrod
  3. Hey all my names Jarrod I live in capalaba and own a 78 ke30 4dr sedan. It came with the stock 3k which needed a rebuild so i stripped it down and left it there for 8 months. Got board saturday just gone so I went and bought a complete 5k and dropped it in, it isn't running just yet needs a few things such as a radiator. The only other things I've done so far is put a woodgrain steering wheel on goes well with the vinyl seats and some gold skull door lock knobs. Transmission is automatic might swap it later on down the line but not in the near future. Anyway here are some pics. 5k in engine bay 5k ready to go in
  4. One of the techs were I work used a piece of garden hose and listened through it for where the air was gushing in worked quite well.
  5. Its not for a rally car or anything like that I'm actually doing it up as a road car so I can pull my civic of the road and do that up. I just want more go from it going from a 1.6l civic to the ke30 rolla was a big difference in power for me. doesnt sound like much but you can feel it .
  6. I'm not a crack addict or into racing. Just looking at ways to get abit more go out of the engine I've got due to I haven't got alot of money at the moment and I need to do something with the car. I also don't know old corolla's due to the fact I have nothing to do with them at work or anywhere else.
  7. I didn't think 2.2l was possible, I did think 1.5l or 1.6l might be possible though.
  8. I have got alot of mixed suggestions so thought I might ask you guys and girls what capacity can you bore a 3k block out too. Some people said 2.2l some said 1.4l so any info would be appreciated thanks in advance Jarrod.
  9. Forget v10 I'll stick with the v8. V10's are an expensive amount of power that will never get used due to we don't have anywhere to bring out their full power. i also find the new camry unappealing.
  10. They aren't dream cars but I always wanted build a 2jz twin turbo hilux dumped on 17's. The other one isn't technically toyota it's a holden gemini with a Toyota 3rz-fe (2.7 litre hilux engine) lowered 17's dark blue paint.
  11. I'll look into that but will be a while till i've got anything done got huge tafe and computer bills to pay so maybe around christmas might have something done.
  12. Their off a d15b which is a 15oo not sure on the venturi size. The only problem is the manifold I'd have to make to fit them and because they are side drafts making sure I got enough room for them to fit in there.
  13. There was heaps of them at the wreckers this morning when i was looking for a bigger throttle body for my civic. And I thought wonder if anyone has done it. So I will give it a go when i rebuild the engine I pulled apart.
  14. Has anyone put the twin carb set up from a 93 model civic onto their 3k engine, I searched for info but couldnt find any. If you have any advice or info it would be greatly appreciated. cheers Jarrod
  15. don't get alot of people looking at me in the car. most likely because of the music i listen to loudly but my drive car is a civic and is pretty stock.
  16. I don't really love the corolla but I do enjoy the fact that its heaps cheaper to modify than my civic.
  17. thats going to go good man, my mate is finishing off his sr20det conversion into his ke70. His isnt running yet but said it'll just fly. good luck looking forward to more pics

  21. not being rude or anything roll-110 but in queensland we have a plus 3 fitment and my ke30 has 13's on it so shouldnt have a problem with that. And thanks for all the advice guys I think I will go with springs and lowering blocks for now and get them reset later if i want it lower
