Hey guys just want to gather some info on a strut/brake upgrade for my '74 KE25. I have a TA22 diff to go in the rear so that is taken care of, I'm not really that fluent with suspension terms so please bare with me lol. Basically I wanna convert my KE25 to 114.3 stud pattern as I have some 14" meshies to go on it. Could anyone shed some light on this as I'm not really sure what the easiest/beneficial path to go down is. Could I convert the KE25 struts to 114.3? I have read that you can use TA22 struts? Could I use RA28 struts as I have a complete RA28 rolling Shell. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Tally

Ok well I have posted on ausrotary that we are orgaising a decent rolla/rota cruise and a few people have expressed interest already. So location location.. hmmm I'm in the north-east so anywhere is good for me lol. Few people didnt like west lakes that much, and I thought there was way too many cops down that way. Few Possible Locations: Shopping Centers: Centro Arndale - Bit of a rough area, but is pretty central Castle Plaza - Not to far from north or south TTP - Probebly not an option lol West lakes - Not the worst location Northpark Shopping Centre - close to me Sefton Plaza Shopping Centre - across from Northpark Harbour Town - Been on some good crusies here a while back Fulham car park - Not to bad, same as west lakes Marion shopping center - good for people down south, not good for people up north K-Mart on anzac highway - Been on some hotrod crusies that were started here Non-Shopping Center Locations: Santos stadium car park - sarotors hold sucessful crusies from this location Know of any others? Crusie Map: With regards to the cruise map, most people say cruise through the bay and shit like that. Nothing wrong with that but it gets boring after a while. Id like to go through the hills. Havnt been up there in my car yet although not sure if it would be ideal. Good place for Rotaz, Nissans and Drifters alike but not stock as a rock Corollas. And as you know it is pretty dangerous up there. Time and Day: With regards to the day and time, id prefer a saturday mid day - afternoon and the cruise would end as it goes dark. Making sure we are driving away from the sun rather then towards it so we don't get blinded by a sunset. Then on the way back it would be night and fine. Obviously these are my own opinions and would like to get ideas from others. Yes harbour town was one of the first places that came to mind. Thanks man appreciate it. Yea I love it to bits, thats why I decided to say screw it, I'm keeping it and fixing it up hehehe. Didnt get a chance to work on it this weekend but over the easter long weekend I'm going to strip the rest of the front end down, prep it up, rust converter to get rid of the surface rust, prime it and spray the engine bay black. So I got this far yesterday. As expected, I found no structural rust, just surface rust. It had sat for 20 years under cover so it has sweet F all rust, which I think anyone would be happy with that. don't have an engine crane at the farm so just stripping the engine down and pulling it out the hard way. (its no good so just throwing it away.) Once the engine is out, going to go over the engine bay with rust converter and spray all the front end steering components black. Cheers Tally

Quick update: Car is not for sale anymore. Had a few people interested but never worked out on there halve. Year 12 is going pretty well so I'm going to try and make some time every weekend to work on the front end. I’m not touching the interior or anything. It’s totally overrated and is complete from A to Z. Body wise I'm not really fust at the moment. What I'm really going to focus on is getting this baby up and running. Not going to do a custom engine conversion or anything extreme like that, but simply going to find a 4K/5K and dress it up with a few bits and pieces. And here is where it sits... Hopefully start striping the front end down this weekend. If not then on the Easter long weekend. Plastic trims, grill, vents and taillights are off as I am getting them restored and plastic welded. Hey guys Was looking to start doing a couple of mods to it. Was looking more towards handling then power (although Id like to do some small power upgrades, anyone sugest anything?) Would like to stiffen the chassis a bit as it has way to much body roll going around corners. How about a strut brace and some springs. Coilovers? (maybe a bit extreme, but would like it to handle better) How many kgs is ideal for a street car. Also looking to do some weight reduction in some areas. Cheers Tally
