  1. Hi, Actually I found out today that the electric dizzy on a 5K with the two vacuum chambers both are for advance BUT. The outer can if connected will only pull it 12 degrees around but the inner on closest to the dizzy it's self will advance it 18 degrees. So I this should do for a boost application stock as I believe taz_rx left his zip tied to 20 degrees when he had a CT12 on his 4K? Also my 5K has the oil filter housing that has no pressure by-pass spring on it like the old 3K in the KE10 had. What is better to use. I have both styles laying around at home and well will there be a difference in use or what? I will add a pic below of this filter adapter I have so show you the different. Cheers Cameron
  2. Hi, Love_ke70 I have a MSD CDI kit here BUT it can't do spark retard :D so thinking easier to run the electric dissy but if i use kit wont kill points either so might switch to a points setup on 5K if I get a 5K points dizzy..lol and just fiddle around with a points dizzy getting it to boost retard so I can have 14 sparks a cylinder at idle and wont wear my points out :P Cameron
  3. Just been looking and found info on boost retard dizzy's: Apparently CB on there old turbo kits they sold the kit came with a standard bosch 205 dizzy. This dizzy is like all other bosch units but has dual vac cannisters one vac retards one vac advances. Apparently stock spring inside the canister it would give 7 degrees retard by just boosting the SC/turbo boost into the vac advanced port and running the vac line to the vac retard side. As with boost it will push so if vac on the retard side retarded it boost will advance it so they were simply swapped hoses and whalla worked with 7 degrees retard. But if you changed the spring inside the canister you will get up to 32 degrees retard. So I might just run my boost line into my electric dizzy and see how it goes and well wait to see if I blow a head gasket..lol But looking at Angela's famous KE10 and noticed under the hood she is running a standard electric K dizzy with no vac lines but has it turned on a modded mount future to increase retard under boost so now I know ti can be done like that but i don't wanna do it that way as needs mounts and blocks off the oil filter adn stuff so want to avoid it Cheers Cameron
  4. Ok, With the carby I need this to be a weekend job so I think when 5K goes in car soon I hope (can't afford 5L of oil for the 4K every week) I will use my old 3K one I have on my 4K now. BUT then ill pull the 5K one apart and transfer all the jets into my spare 4K one and then use it. Ok carby sorted. Also does anyone know how much talk to put on the fly wheel bolts. i know 3K torque settings are in the FAQ but are they all the same? Also can I get pictures of electronic dizzys posted here in a bit of a lose here with mine just looking at what wires I need where and how to hook it all up and the vac system to it so pictures appreciated. Also I need the yellow book or a manual way to get the dizzy to lign up. As I think the guy who rebuilt my 5K put the dizzy in a tooth out so I want to double cheak it but not 100% sure on how so if anyone has that info also appreciated. Cheers Cameron
  5. Hi, From what I have found yes all you need to do is do what Taz_RX told me to do and what Trev suggested. BUT... Doing Taz_rx way as he said fidlly and mm he needed to drill into the vac chamber so also time consuming. Also I am running n electric dizzy so don't want to go start modifying it and break it..lol But on the electric dizzy it has 2 chambers one is vac advance one is vac retard. And I want to retard my timing. BUT with boost. So I was thinking there should be a pressure drop on my SC14 intake when it is on? So can I plum the line from the intake to the vac retard chamber and hope fully it will mm retard it enough? But what mm vac pressure does the K motor vac system run at? As on my turbo pumping 30+ PSI boost I get a bit over 2PSI pressure drop on the intake so the SC14 running oh 14PSI at the most will it make enough vacuum in the line to retard the dizzy? As I am running a SU suck through setup here so I'd imagin there will be a good vacuum as it has to have vacuum behind the SU to make it work. But if the SC14 intake line isnt big enough can I find vacuum some where else on the motor that when boost comes on it increases? As if I can ill jsut run a line from that spot to the vacuum retard on dizzy and have the advance part left venting to space. Cheers Cameron P.S. Cheers for the drawing Taz..
  6. I am thinking that to but will a vac part on a dizzy hold 14PSI also I have an electric dizzy on my K motor so it has dual vac diaphragms so use both one or boost to one and vac to the other? Also will I need to say regulate the boost to it or what? As from what I have heard it is not as simple as putting boost to the dizzy at all needs mods but is still easy to do. Cameron
  7. For your viewing pleasure. When I get more time ill do a bit fo a how to here. Front view 10m away them on car (note on on left is running off 9volts as it is temp in place till I finish wireing them up so it is dimmer): Side on with parkers on: Cameron
  8. Hi, Been googling about and can't find it there. But I KNOW you can make a normal dizzy off any car work as a boost retard dizzy. I need this in my mm coming project to stop blowing head gaskets and I want to not lock my dizzy to a set angle so any help appreciated? Or if anyone has the how to can you plese post it? Cheers Cameron
  9. Hi, Just been cleaning up a 5K I have ready to install it into a car of mine. But I was interested to know about the carby they run. As the one on this 5K I have is well dead. So I want to use the one off my 3K will it be jetted right? Also does anyone know the compression one of thee 5K's run? Mine is a dished piston motor if that helps? Cheers Cameron

  12. Ha I still think your theory is right jip. Going to Brisbane everyday every bus stop I pass no one looks..lol But that kid he was probably thinking I want a ride in a car to save time or I don't wanna go to school I want a job as he saw you driving around. So hard to say if he liked cars..LOL But other day sitting in peak hr traffic This guy pulled up in a BMW coupe and had his HOT AS daughter with him must say she had a good look at my car..lol she must of liked blink 182 I was playing..lol
  13. Well stalled today..lol The postage on the plastic rods off ebay was $30 so mm ill forget them. But hoping this weekend to try curtain shops or ring the local plastic maker that says on there web site they do acrylic rod so fingers crossed. As if I get it should be able to have working eyes in about 10/20 minutes. So will keep you all updated. Cameron
  14. Hi, haha yes HEKTIC that is my 1 watt stack..lol I love it goes hard for a small amp but I only need something small to practice in my room. And next to it is my distortion pedal..lol Cameron
  15. Hi, Well it turns out they havent so I decided to buy the rods on ebay..lol DANG OLD TOWN!!!! Cost me $1 for buy now of a 3/8 inch diameter 36 inch long rod so that will be enough to make 2 eyes with left overs.. :D So can't wait for the postie now :y: As the lights I imagine will only take abotu 2-3 minutes to make..lol Cameron
  16. Hi, Well today I went out and bought 4 LED's for this project the brightest I could get there rated for 20,000mcd :D And are green should should look hot. I also imagine any shape would work not just round so maybe even rectangular like KE70 head lights?? But I drove all around Ipswich today trying to find clear plastic rod NOTING every craft shop, bunnings, supercheap model shop you name it doesn't sell plastic rod AHAHAH so if anyone see's some let me know so I can go buy it. Cameron
  17. Does anyone know a good shop that sells acrylic rod? Cameron
  18. HAPPY BIRTHDAY... And now it is pay rise time again :D Cameron
  19. Hi, Don't know how well this would work but mm worth a shot if you have a spare K motor or 4age as they have an air box so might be good to place water container there. But below is the link: http://www.zerotohundred.com/newforums/sho...ad.php?t=130747 Cameron
  20. Hi, Also if you want the centre light ot look the same don't know how legal this would be here you go. http://hid.com.my/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13 Cameron
  21. Hi, Just found a web page on how to make DIY angle eyes/egal eyes. Ihave always wanted some of these on my KE30 around the 7inch head lights but the kit was a few hundred dollars so I havent but just found this page and well for a few $ you can DIY them..mm might try this soon :y: Here is link: http://www.geocities.com/jvxdriver/eagle_eyes.htm ENJOY Cameron :D Spelling fairy says: damn that egal was annoying me.

  23. hahah and by now JIP your computer desk is probably SPOTLESS..lol Post a pic of mine later..lol Cameron
  24. Yes all KE30/55 doors the same to a degree. Coupe doors are longer but I believe and have a different lock on them on the interior. But a handy tip KE55 doors have a side intrusion bar so weight reduction fit KE30 doors to your KE55.. Cameorn
  25. Double flares just take patience..lol If you have the tool there easy but yes your first few you make usually aren't that great..lol Oh and don't buy the cheap flaring tool if you do I did and they can't do stainless line and well I broke it so..lol But heat wrap might do the job but it the rubber is near/ touching the extractors it could burn under the wrap or perish or maybe boil the clutch hydraulic fluid?? But mm only time will tell. Also $50 for a line for it made adn with braiding get it that is a good price. especially when most hydraulic fittings alone are $14 each. Cameron
