ok just confirmed it, 1g-gze pistons fit 4ks. the bore is the same and so is the rod length etc. mate of mine (guy who built the 2jzgte levins) has dummy assembled one. BUT it was a trail fit and meausre... so you will stell need to check a coupla things. however he is very sure it will work. so that gives you strong rods and pistons suitable for turboing

in the paper today...... 350 cars on the parade.... :) also heard its been handed to a different department of the council... the guy running that department is the father of one of our mechanics girlfriends. and he loves drag racing :P

tell me about it!! where i used to live, the airport and race track were 1 kay away as the crow flies... so people brought land there, bilut houses, and now the track has all sorts of restrictions!! :P and in auckland theres a big fuss over western springs speedaway. its been there for 75 years... and is now facing closure cause residents have moved there and are now complaining about the noise!!! that rack is so popular every year we get aussie and usa teams there to race...

guess whats a direct bolt into a 4k and suits turbos very very well... 1g-gze pistons :P think the rods fit too... mate of mine has done it, ill confirm details and report back!

nah 15 mins will be plenty. there nothing in there it needs to save, its all ROM.

yeah you will need the engine loom and ecu. a 4age will be the easiest to convert. it will bolt up too your currant gearbox, but if youv got a 4spd youll want the box as well. not a hard one to do. plenty of info around about it. i hope your not trying to steal my name!! :)

well the driving force behind it al is the local drag racing club. the president organised it, talked to the council and police etc etc. so theres no reason wy you guys can't do the same. do it in a safe and respnsible manner and there should be no problem. but it depends on why you lost it...

well after the last drag event last year things did not look good for the local drag club. an altered had chute failure and shot off the strip at 155mph..... went through the safty net, hit the wire perimeter fence and shoved a parked car across the road..... as a result there has been no racing since last season. i resoloution was hoped for at a recnt coucil hearing. instead they banned racing from the track and went agaisnt a 10 year contract. that made us mad :) so the local drag club held a protest parade, made up of racers and supporters. of course i was there. the turn out was HUGE!! over 200 cars i reckon was great weather and i think it made a difference. with new safty gear on the way, and the obvious support from sooo many people racing wil be on again soon!!! we hope..... some of the cars in parade more cars... what u been smoking nick? all stock 4age manifolds are very good. certainly enought to handle 180 odd hp even more. the black top 20v ones are the best. but even the old ae82 ones are fine for 180ish. you have to do serious mods to even think about replacing them. as for the rwd, the TRD ones are made up from the stock ones apparantly

they are ok as long as you keep the level up!! they only hold 3 litres in the sump.... so wings on the sump is a good idea... if your running it in a mega grippy sports car then maybe some more baffling would be a good idea

hmm looks like phils done an update... took me a little longer (30secs) to find an inaccuracy! :P hehe last time i read bills page there were several mistakes.... but still a very good site nontheless. i think it mainly stemmed that a lot of his info was from engines he thought were from one thing but were actually from another. its still my dream to make a site with all the part number and production date info etc along with pics... if only i knew how to make websites!! :)
