its simple, bigger ports are good, too big ports is bad. and thats what the 4age bigports are, too big. may suit a drag engine runnign 30psi but not a circuit/road car!

the looms can be different, plugs etc. so need to make sure you get all the bits from the same model. head wont affect ecu, but small port is much better

the thing with competition car sis the amoutn of time and money spent on them making sure they don't break.... as far as road cars go mitsi are world renown for breaking! hence why they are in such s**t at the moment

whats the diff in 4k pistons? the depth of the bowl isnt it? claire, can you get a more side on pic, that shows how deep the bowl is in the piston top? from like a 15-20degree angle maybe?

BUT after seeing this one in the flesh, it looks GOOD! stop laughing! it really does! didnt look inside though, but yes the camry dash is disgusting. and crazy, in a road car hp means shit. its all about torque.... take the bently coupe.... its "only" got 400hp.... and weights liek 2800kgs.... but does 0-100 in under 6 sec.... why? cause it has over 800nm of torque..... :dance:

ok lets clear some things up here... the currant 2.4 4cyl manual camry is a damn good drive. no shit. its good. handles very well and has good performance, the v6 is too nose heavy, and is slower than the 4 cyl. i saw this car today at the motorshow (pics will follow) and it looks very very good! also i think it has the v6.. not the 1zz.... so if they got the power right, it will be a very nice car, and fast. i say again..... the currant 4 cyl camry is a good drive.

i know a few people who have been playign with the k engines since they were new.. yes they are old! and they all agre... when building a race motor, the 4k shits on the 5k every time. the 5 uses hydrolic lifters, which are nto as good for outright performance, and the bore/stoke ratio is better on the 4k... i can't explain the ins and outs as to why that is, but these people (2 in particular) are very very switched on people, one buitl the 2jzgte levins and now does work fr paul morris motorsport... and the other has been racing cars since the 60s and wa sinvolved in the factory ke30 series rally cars.... so i beleive them!! and wouldnt 1ggte pistons be too lower compression? even with shaved head?

exspensive toys haha stick am indy car and f1 side by side with similar aero and the f1 will be faster.. they are lighter and now have more power :D the f18s are loud.... but the f1s louder... prob cause of the pitch. weather sucked today, so i didnt get many pics.... about the minardis... I'm disgusted at their behaviour... they changed their cars overnight... so they could have been ready with out all the bullshit. sato has an oops williams specs toyota at speed dream field..... minardi in the wet unfortunatly my digi doesnt have the zoom neede, but the full size originals look good :D after qual it looks to be an interesting race... shumi will be well down! so there will be a good fight back i think

well today was my first day at the agp.... wow...... f1 cars..... tv doesnt do them justice.. the noise... no... THE NOISE!!!! these things are LOUD!!! the noise vibrates objects as they go past.... the entire field of v8 supercars doesnt compare to one f1... seriously :D i was so glad for th eearplugs. as at one point i was only 5 or so metres from them as they full throttled past me... awesome!!!! i was also stoked to see the v8s, up close in the pits, seeing the guys iv only ever seen on tv etc.. that was very very cool! managed to spot steve richards, and johnson, seton, radisich and ambrose etc..... :D I'm gunna end it now.... else ill go on all night!! now for some pics....... Ambrose some girls worlds fastest toyota the one on the left wants me.... you can see it in her eyes check out the look on the face of the middle one! there will be more pics over the next coupla days.... and more of cars!!!

ah i remember that car!! have a look in the background of the 6th pic guys... see the toyota flags? they are mine hanging on the toyspeed stand! i see you're still running the rack and pinion. my cuz is doing the same conversion and he reckons it gets in the way.... did you move or mod it in anyway?? *spelling :D*

I'm a gentleman and id never do a thing like that...... honest ;) yeah in water should work..... but oil is the correct way! may need to leave it in their for a few minutes, and try standing it up in a pot with the water level not quite touching the pin, don't boil it, but heat it on the element and let it heat soak, the piston will expand. prob wont just slide out but will tap out have fun sanding! :D
