  1. what valve problems?? tunning? how does the numebr of valves affect that? theres plenty of 7ages here with 20v heads, in fact i don't know of ANY with a 16v head....
  2. thats a rather broad and brave statement nick..... theres different types of s/c for different applications.... tuning for peak hp is doable.... centrifugal s/c for example

  4. no the4agze pistons are lower compression. 4age/4agze headgasket is the same

  6. my 2nd car was a mk1 escort, it had a welded diff. and it was crap. either understeers or oversteers. which is not good when you have to drive to work everyday!!! its fine for a competition car (hell porsche used one in the 935 lemans cars) but as a daily driver... i hate them!!

  14. that is a rare rare part.... no longer made so be careful with it!! id have to dig up an old book to find any info on that oh toyota headgasket sizes are when torqued to spec... so if it says 1.2mm (4age) then thats its sized after torquing
  15. so youll know how leaky they are from factory? :D no i mean what CAR is it in, not whats in the car.....
  16. how many types of 4k pistons have you guys come across? iv seen flat top and dished. now iv got a JDM 4k-e in bits in my shed at the moment... and it looks to me that while they are dished, they are not as dished as others... anyone cc'd some dished pistons before?

  18. yup, some markets got afm but i think only USA. not sure... easy to turn 4age into 4agze, but $$ will be the problem, maybe cheape rand easier to turbo though

  21. haha yeah well my vw golf is running 5s!!! can't get it to match my lambo doing 4s though! :S had to transplant the carrera gt engine into it though! hahaahahaa

  23. yeah longer stroke can't rev as high, but its all relative, 8k wont be a prob with forged internals. so if you want a torque monster 7afe is the way to go. what id do is draw up plans for 2-3 diff combos, and price up parts, see what you think then
