  1. that IS the v12 version there......
  2. hehe years ago when i had my ae92 levin i was "seeing what it can do" i dunno how i did it but i was redlinnng in fourth, and instead of selecting 5th got 3rd...... lucky i didnt let the clutch all the way out, or if i did only for a fraction of a second, it was like nailing the brakes... and the engine screamed!! :P
  3. haha twas fun to slide the hilux! but man did it give me a fright the firsty time it did it! then i couldnt stop!! haha u should have seen the looks i was getting!! 80ks sideways is a 4wd hilux
  4. compression lock up is when your driving a hilux and drop it into 2nd at 40ks (like i do in my levin) on a wet road and it goes..... SSSLLLLLLIIIIIDDDEEEEEE HEHEHE i had to drive 400kays in the wet in a single cab hilux in the weekend.... they drift ratehr well
  5. oh thats every toyota dealer in NZ, a few in aussie appear to do some but they are not listed as official TRD dealers
  6. niot to nz you wont nick!! :P hahaha no gremlin, you buy them from me!! of course every toyota dealer can do them, but I'm the best  you may have to go see a mech about that noise, its very very hard to diagnose noises with out hearing them...
  7. prob a belt squeaking, check for tightness and wear. just regas ya aircon, its not exspensive and it really is a good thing to have. hmmmm TRD sticker....... toyota sell TRD. where do i work........
  8. gr3mlin, i am about to become very handy to you... guess what my job is? parts, at a toyota dealer. in nz  ok if your not gunna go with a motec then link is the best option for you here. LINK HOMEPAGE i can supply the pistons and gaskets etc. in fact you wont get anything cheaper anywhere else. no you cannot get altezza style lamps anywhere in the world. if i could id make thousands on them where abouts in nz are you? maybe i can help find some one to do the job for you
  9. if you were in nz id say go link. but from all accounts microtech etc are more popular over there. links are v good and i can get em for you. but its best to go for what is supported best in your area. have a chat to some tuners, see what everyones familiar with
  10. the stock pump and injectors can handle a bit. but prob an idea to replace em
  11.
  12. ok lil grass hopper. listen carefully.. save your $$$$ buy a tunable ecu. like a motech etc. fit that. tune itll make a lil difference. save some more rebuild 20v with 4agze pistons. and throw on a turbo. make 250hp save abit more for gtz g/box and shafts to replace the c52 you will break thats the cheapest and easiet way. DO NOT fit a 4agze. not only are they hard to get and $$$ they are not an easy fit to an ae101 20v. the looms are very differnt and a bitch to fit. an auto sparky mate of mine has done one and he reckons its cheaper and easir to convert the 20v to turbo than 20v to 4agze. also when u rebuild the 20v you will then effectivly have a new engine. whereas a 2nd hand gze could have a dodgy past
  13. news this morn said 120, 000 and rising
  14. the longer runners should help it make more torque, which is what you want on a road car. fitting larger injectors isnt hard, i think 1500 laser ones fit. itll be a good starting point anyway. I'm sure with some fiddling larger a afm can be fitted etc
  15. i have to go check that its all there. will talk to my cuz and get him to hold it. he wants rid of it, i havnt got the spare $$ to buy it at the mo but I'm sure we can work something out, as i said in my email ill label and photo stuff before i pull it apart. maybe that will help nick get his together  if i were you id start looking for wiring diagrms etc, the more info u can find now the easier it will be later ;)
  16. ok done some checking... the pistons and head etc are the same. its the valve cover thats different. has a different oil filler. so you should be able to throw all the efi stuff on your car with no problems and keep your pistons and head etc. just so happens i have one available for sale  make an offer ;)
  17. todays papaer says that people in africa were caught in the waves!!
  18. damn!! thats madness. stay safe dude!
  19. hehe a half cut here would cost $2-3k at least the panels, rads suspension etc, thats all $$$ for the wreckers. they just don't sell half cuts here. iv never understood why the sell them as cuts over there. don't make sense thens theres freight!
  20. cool. man u guys get it bad, my whole ae101 levin cost me $3000!! i sell 20vs with loom and ecu for $700ish!! ;) just another reason why nzs better than oz
  21. the 4agze ONLY came in the aw11, ae92 and ae101. no others the ae112 has the 7afe. so they appear not to be able to tell a 7afe from a 4agze. or read a build plate. go look for yaself if in doubt. if you can't tell the diff between a 4agze and 7afe...... also the ae112 will be the "bug eye" shape corolla. not even remotly close to anything fitted with a 4agze. unless theyv got hold of a converted car! do youneed a whole front cut?? thats a lot of extra $$$ for bits u don't need. assuming your putting it in a ke70 etc, youll only need engine, ecu and loom
  22. yikes, id be thinking bout another mechanic! i reckon you have to forget about the k series boxes. just not up to it. if some one can come up with a few model numbers etc i can maybe source a bell housing here, or at least confirm the type of box in it. shit loads of townaces, liteaces etc infesting wreckers here. 150kw k series would be cool :doublebird: maybe an injection set up is what you need.......
  23. oh! first time i looked at this!!! i want one too!
  24. te71 is a levin, don't think there was a te71 trueno was a sprinter though
  25. if you can get a decent ecu then your half way there. id do that first, then your set for future mods and can get the best from everything you do :doublebird:
