    I'd hate to tell you but that is a little more than just surface rust. You should let somebody more skilled tackle that section as it definately isn't for the faint hearted.

    Get the VHT vinyl spray, it doesn't smell too bad and works a treat if you Prepsolit before you paint it. About 15-20 dollars a can from memory. gl mate
