i saw one of those panteras at the look out on mt nebo a few months back. the rear wheels are HUGE. and the sound it made when it took off....mmmmmmm suddenly my s15 was a mere toy in its wake. ---- hows this for an OEM turbo setup from 1962. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Corvair

and most importantly...google it!! i don't want to sound like a harsh nasty member you doesnt want to help out people asking questions... but when the first google result of "4kc turbo" is this http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/2341-4k-c-turbo/ a 15 page thread all about putting a turbo on a 4k.....i mean c'mon man a bit of effort on your part hey? i would never touch a turbo carburetta.......I'm sure its fine for some....but the idea of pressurising a carburetta or pressurising fuel in a turbo....doesnt sound all that inviting:P efi that engine....then turbo.

Do I Need To Run My Battery Earth Straight To The Block?New Problem :(
ke70dave replied to Alexrx7's topic in Car Electrical
the gearbox to chassis link doesnt need to be that big, i think it will only be there for your reverse lights. in fact i don't recall there being one from the gearbox to chassis on my ke70. you just need a chunky wire from the engien block to the chassis for your starter motor, and other electrical stuffs (temp/oil pressure senders) -

Do I Need To Run My Battery Earth Straight To The Block?New Problem :(
ke70dave replied to Alexrx7's topic in Car Electrical
thast how it is from factory. Only difference is the battery is in the engine bay, not the boot. factory there is a short chunky wire that goes directly from your battery negative terminal to the chassis. just make sure, like ae82gte above me sais, make sure all connections are good. -
What Diff Should I Use In My Ae/Ke70/71
ke70dave replied to patrick duffy's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
a T series diff should be more than enough for the bigport. though you broke a stocko diff, how did you break it? If you slam gears all day and clutch kick you are likely to break a T series as well. you have to be nice to these 25yr old differentials. have a look around at the imports on ae86dc and such, they bring in T series disc brakes complete with some form of aftermarket LSD for around the 1000-1200 mark. -
People Wanting To Check Out Your Rolla??
ke70dave replied to BUZ440's topic in Automotive Discussion
i had a few guys bail me up at the servo, 1 or 2 were quite inteligent, werent corolla enthusiasts but obviously were car enthusiasts and could see i had done a bit of work to mine. the rest.......nothing between the ears, asking stupid questions, offering stupid prices, and telling me about their mate with their sik s13 non turbo drifter. smile and nod. you can usually tell how genunie they are by the first 3 words that come out of their mouth, and if they are wearing one of those flat brim hats. in the case of them being a knob, you just act dumb, and act like you are in a hurry. and in your case nisrolla, give it a blast up the road, to make them even more curious:P -
you know what is really starting to piss me off lately. is advertisements on the tv DURING a show. i rarely watch TV, but the other night i was watching the jurrasic park movies (AWESOME), and then probably every 2nd "chunk" of movie (between the normal adds) they had little advertisements running along the bottom of the screen. a few times it was the lottery numbers, or advertisements for some new show "the one"....i mean c'mon...... can't see the bottom 3rd of my screen, becuase of the adverts and the stupid "7" logo. and another. watching Tv last night at girlfriends house, flipped over to "the office - new episode", which as far as i can tell is about 2 months old now. but i still watched it. next up another episode....so i keep it on....they show an episode from the 1st or 2nd season??!?!??!?! why on earth would i want to watch a "new" episode, then straight after that watch an ancient episode? so i turn it all off, fire up the bittorrent...and get the latest episodes. put them on USB and watch them through my ps3......all within about 30mins.

excelent work mate. not seen your thread before. one question about the spray painting. is the pearl "hard" to paint? i did metalic blue back in the day, but to add a pearl is it just a matter of mixing in those pearl flakes to the clear? and how do you know how much to mix in? going to look great in the end, I'm sure your girlfriend will be impressed.

hey 139 episodes of topgear has some adverse effects on ones vocabulary.

here is a pretty carbon fibre one. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TOYOTA-AE86-AE101-AE111-4AGE-20v-Carbon-Fiber-Covers-SILVERTOP-BLACKTOP-TODA-TRD-/200656358623?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2eb80d0cdf

have you researched any of these engine conversion? or are you just pulling numbers and letters out of the air? both are completly different engines, with completely different characteristics not to mention the price and effort differences in shoe horning them into your car. if you are drag racing what is important is the area under the curve in terms or power and torques. quoting peak power/torque is somewhat useless as it might be a dog in the lower RPM's. N/A is cool, untill you realise how much slower you are going than an engine that cost 1/4 the cost to build but has a hair dryer attached!:P

this makes absolutely no sense at all, but good luck with it! one must ask how your car is a slut? slut: Slut or slattern is a pejorative term applied to an individual who is considered to have loose sexual morals or who is sexually promiscuous.

205/50/r15 might be a go-er 205/25.4 = 8 so pretty spot on. if you have wide wheels, put wide tyres on for good grip. none of this wide wheels, skinny useless tyres crap. (I'm running 225/50/r16 on a 6.5!) best to pick a tyre, check the data sheet on recomended wheel widths.

look here for wheels http://otomoto.shop033.com/c/4056608/1/used-13-and-14-inch-wheels.html usually pretty good prices too. they even have some 01's for you in 14" and 13". from your previous topis you have a ke70, thus pretty much every decent upgrade will cost more than the price of your entire car!!
-
a quick google search and the wheel "maxxim fourplay" appears to be what you want. from what i can gather is an offshoot of "konig" wheels. http://www.konigwheels.com/Maxxim-Home/2007-Maxxim-Wheels_2 though on that site it appears they are discontinued. maybe dig a bit deeper maybe they are available somewhere. why not just buy some 2nd hand equip 01s? how much do you want to spend on wheels? http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/showthread.php/64567-BNE-full-set-of-Work-Equip-01-s my mate can't sell these at $1000 for the set.

New Laws Regarding Engine Conversion In Nsw?
ke70dave replied to dbr11k's topic in Automotive Discussion
steady on guys, enough with the bad mouthing. i noticed that knowone has put any real evidence down for their suggestions of what is legal or not. Thus in my books they don't mean squat. feel free to provide evidence, else keep your...mouthkeyboard...shut. -
assuming that the engine isnt seized, the slow turning over, combined with new battery and starter motor, sais to me that the timing is wrong. i would be checking it again. and if you reckon its right, try backing it off a bit (retarding it). and see if it improves your cold starts. else possibly the wiring from your battery to your starter isnt in the best shape. the 4ac is such a simple indistructable engine, don't go replacing something that isnt broken if you are short on money!

i dunno about you but I'm almost refreshing the netbank website waiting for my pay to go in. not because i don't manage my funds very well, but so many things come out automatically 2 days after and i usually chuck everything into the savings account, if it isnt in on the day it usually goes in....emails are sent.

could be an itnernal leak on the mastercylinder, are you actually losing fluid out of the resevoir? or is it just not pumping.

philby i think what he is asking is "i can't get my engine to run on a stock ecu, will an aftermarket ecu make it easier" using only the knowledge ive gained about you in this thread, the answer is no. no it wouldnt. it would meerly make it infinitly more complicated and less likely to ever work.

another mouse hate story, the stocko DELL mouse i have here, the stupid scroll wheel rubber thing has detached it self from the actual scroll wheel, so half the time I'm just spinning the rubber around when I'm trying to scroll... i miss my G5 at home :( ...thinking about buying another and using it at work. is that too nerdy?

lets attack this from another approach. how about we test the theory, think up some common questions, and see if we can find the answers? here is a few 13b into ke70 fist google search found this: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/51482-13b-rotary-in-ke70/ not all the answers, but a fair amount and a good starting point. 20V turbo, about the 5th link down: http://www.driftworks.com/forum/technical/143373-anybody-here-running-4age-20v-turbo-engine.html not all the info again, but some good info. which can be used for further search refining (ie 20V head onto 4agze block etc) and of course the best thread about K engines is here. and almost all threads about 5k, will have someone comparing them to a 4k or a 3k. http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?title=Tech:Engine/K_Series/How_to_build_a_tough_K_motor now somethign outrageous, 1jz into ke70/ae71. http://forums.toymods.org.au/index.php?t=msg&th=63697&prevloaded=1&&rev=&reveal=&start=60&count=60 so the info is there.....people just have to look! right ive wasted a good 10mins of my lunch break doing that:P
