Ok small update I went to the wreckers got a overrated one guy said worked when got out of car, put in mine still won't work, then i checked to see if the sender plug was getting power by using a test light, no power... So got a piece of wire and connected it directly to the gauge and still nothing? I then stuck a piece of wire on the sender plug and earthed the other end on my door handle and my fuel gauge starts going up, put back in car still won't work? I'am now thinking about getting my spare KE30 fuel tank and trying it?, I even tried the tank in my KE30 and still wouldn't work, What do you guys suggest doing next? Anything I've missed? Cheers People, Trent.. PS Bruce your best bet would be go ask your local toyota dealer for a genuine one or repco or somewhere like that for an aftermarket one?

Nah Jip my temp gauge is fine just the fuel gauge, i have already replaced the dash twice to be sure the gauge itself isn't faulty.

Ok guys finally got off my arse and took the fuel tank out of my KE55 cause the fuel gauge ain't working, got the sender out and the little metal clip that holds the resister thing had slipped off and had a few scuff marks on the wire going through the resistor put the metal clip on the right way put it back in and it still wouldn't work, What I want to know is if its worth going to the wreckers and getting a 2nd hand one or just buying a new one, (considering you can), Anything else i should check? OK cheers for that man, yeah it only lowers mine by about 200 rpm in 5th, i just thought the 5speed diff might have made a little bit more difference

Hey guys got the 5 speed in my rolla on the weekend and i'd like it to rev a little lower can someone give me some diffs to find that will make it rev lower, i was thinking a KE55 XX Hardtop diff? cause that's what the 55 K-50's came in? Cheers Trent

Yep plugs are the same mate, just need the roundheadlights and the bracket cup that surrounds them and 2 springs for each side, then she's apples! Trent

Hey guys i got a new 3k clutch for my rolla has i'am putting a k-50 in this weekend, Now i have a 4K flywheel out of a KE70 K motor and a KE30 3k Clutch just wondering wether this will bolt up to my motor and gearbox fine, thanks Trent

Hey Guys, With my 3K, I had a ramflo air filter on it and it was running like a dog when cold, (like to much air), so i put the standard one back on and when i depress the throttle a bit in 2nd gear it just coughs and drops revs for a bit then turns good? It's a pretty fresh 3K as well (internally), i was thinking its time for a carby rebuild? Any ideas? Trent

Did you try rarespares? thats where i get all my corolla rubbers from, i got a rear window and boot rubber from them for my KE30

My corolla of course, apart from that, my old man had a 308 VL Commodore, with mild cams, man that thing used to get up and boogy, \ Also my 4M 73 MS65 Crown was up there too, that thing used to motor.

Aight, All i heard was that a decent RTA approved engineer was down Sydney way, how much was it to get your car engineered RD? Trent
