  1. Looks awesome man. Here's a photo of your front wheel...
  2. I had a cat put in that's 200 bucks trade price. Supposed to be a 100 cell metal cat, and the rest of the system cost 199. Sweet deal. I had to get them to redo a diff bend on it. No biggie.
  3. You can buy rda vented rotors. Then buy qfm jdm conversion pads from gsl rallysport an use your own adm calipers. The qfm pads are a little thinner to accomodate the thicker rotor. They will last a bit less time but it takes a hellova long time to wear out brake pads on a street car anyhow.
  4. My thoughts exactly....
  5. I dunno about the drag bug, but I just feel unsatisfied that I didn't get to race anybody else in a Corolla. It was all V8s and turbo cars, no real old school Japanese anything except me and Mungi. Plus I reckon I can beat 15 easy enough. Once I clock 14. anything Ill be satisfied. I think I could accomplish that with chassis tuning with my stock engine on pump 98.
  6. Yes, I have a better wheel package being made up as we speak so once that's done Ill flare it then match all the paint up. I will remove the red and blue decal striping, but keep the bug rubber door protector strips.
  7. Bring the Audi to test and tune in a week or two. Best way to all play up a bit and chew the fat.
  8. Yes most people have motorbike helmets, I assume its full face. Must be approved they will look for the sticker.
  9. No. Its fine. Goes better since I put new plugs in it. The first motor he killed for me is an ongoing topic of discussion. I'm not waging a vendetta against him. I made my complaints to the appropriate authorities, I've done what I can, warned a few mates and put more story out there. I'm not going to stalk him and harass him. Lets all put this in the past, learn something and move on.
  10. They are a pretty popular wheel style worldwide. Its a look that people seem to like. Certain cars they suit really well.
  11. Glad to see there is some interest. it would be cool to have at least 2 of every generation of rollas, so we can all match up...
  12. Import? Superlights are made in Adelaide dude. If they are imported then they are most likely not superlights. I think new ones could be had for less, if you ask around.
  13. Yeah and I was told that I re-shelled twice and re-engined twice, which was news to me. I dunno, there is some chance I just had a f@$ked motor. Anthony has anecdotal evidence only to support that theory, all the other practical real world evidence suggest the tune was dodgy, basically every issue he brought up as a possible cause was discredited. All he really could say to support his case is that he has reviewed the tune and while it wasn't his best work, it wasn't bad enough to kill my motor, in his opinion. I wholeheartedly disagree. It was running 15:1 afr at the most common rpm point and was rich until that point from idle. The tune was patchy and all over the shop. He's just blaming the motor, its an easy sell for him since it was an import slut. He keeps saying he has tuned 40 and never had a problem, but I've had about a dozen people contact me unsolicited and tell me about problems with him and his dealings. I certainly do not believe a word he says. He even suggested I had a faulty cast block that caused the issue. One more far fetched theory. I don't really wanna attempt to rehash the whole conversation. The point is, he wont do anything to help me since he feels upset that I told everyone how I felt about his work. Whatever, that's just aside from the real issue here anyhow. As I said, too many personal factors stopping any kind of resolution. He actually seems to expect that I would take his word for it that he didn't kill my engine. When he can prove that I will believe. Just like Jesus.
  14. Its a 2 fold thing, when you startup it heats your oil then when running it maintains the temp of it. Id say run with it and also make the machine shop sort it out.
  15. Hi guys, I'm just extending an all inclusive invitation to Brisbane area members to come out to test and tune and have a safe and legal drag race or three. If you show up at Willowbank from 5.30 in in the afternoon you can race on the strip as many times as you like for $40. I had three runs, and had a great time. It was by no means as intimidating as I expected. Its a lot of fun and quite exciting. Just a hoot where you can drop a skid then go hard and fast without worrying about Mr Plod. Its nice to have an official time slip for your car, and its a good way to quantitatively assess the work and mods you are doing on your car as they progress. Don't think you need a fast car, not at all. Its very non-competitive. Mungi mods came and put a std 450000klm 4k down the strip and pulled a 21, but he had a great time just like the rest of us. Like terry said, he may not be fast but he looked good doing it. The people there are mostly just bogans like you and I, and I didnt get one bad vibe the whole night, infact its a great way to meet new people as interested in cars as you. Ill probably go again in 2 weeks, so if someone is keen drop a line here and Ill send a PM when I'm going out so we can have a whole posse of rollas there.
  16. He knows a hell of a lot about electronics. Product knowledge isn't the issue. Just personal factors mainly, which resulted in a less than acceptable result across the board. The main problem being I expected a 100% legitimate business to deal with and that just wasn't the case. It walked like a duck and talked like a duck, but its most definitely not a duck.
  17. Had a 2 hour conversation with Anthony, basically just went in circles and achieved nothing. He still resents me, I still feel totally shafted. What a shit day. he even told me I wrecked my own loom. Thats fkn patronising, Ive done nothing but fix it with Brads help. I do appreciate that he at least called, however, that's more than what happened before.
  18. OK, I swapped 2 injectors and it wasn't that. The trigger wire in my loom that triggered number 3 coil was burned out. Judging by everything else he did it was most likely second hand wire. Also, Anthony used odd wire colours that do not reflect the colours they should be in the Adaptronic manual, which just makes everything harder. Thanks for nothing you unqualified pretender. Of course when I rang you to discuss you didn't pick up, although you claim to always answer calls. Don't forget how you like to claim you weren't informed, you surely were by the message I left. You have no guts, no ability to accept criticism and no class or skill in any field, especially auto electrical. Let alone fabrication, I mean you did welds for me that literally fell apart. First time to the track and a wire failed. Sif he knows what hes doing. Anyhow, that's enough ranting and raving about people that don't have any positive impact on the world.
  19. New coils, new iridiums and still on 3 cylinders. Number 3 injector is blocked.
  20. Well i got another full set of coils from a 1zzfe at GDM wreckers. $175 the set. Thats $50 cheaper than Anthony the non-tuner Kellam sells them, so nobody needs to hunt them down from him ever again. Winner! That is all. Carry on.
  21. It doesnt matter how well he did it its still illegal.
  22. Bah-aha, I think I killed a coil at the track. She's running on 3 today.
  23. Hahaha good find. That's about all the photos Iv'e seen.
  24. Yes of course its a personal preference. I got nothing against a smallport. Most likely a better motor for a daily. I'm just 100% over dreamers saying that a rebuilt smallport will defeat a 20 valve. Its physically impossible. Then they always say its cheaper and that just proves that they haven't researched it or even thought about it.
