  1. The RA40 I wrecked had a Joe Cocker tape in it. Yes we cranked it. Yes I kept the tape. Oh, awesome car btw. Right up my alley...
  2. I use an intank pump in a baffled ae86 fuel tank. There is no external fuel system to speak of, too untidy for me.
  3. Sorry but I find this a little odd/funny/pointless. Why go to all the effort of shaving the rear handles but not weld the door up? I mean its obviously going to be a door whether it has a visible handle or not. Are you actually asking how to shave the handles? Or are you asking how to get mod plated as two a seater or are you asking how to replace the window with plastic (which is illegal for road use mind you, and some classes of racing.)? Clear as mud, perhaps try and explain what you need help with exactly
  4. Brand new camry 2azfe motor for 500 bucks in loom, manifolds, coils, flywheel, clutch, and alternator. Ke70 with 5 months rego for 350 dollars. Cheers Slidewayz. :)
  5. Look at your post count mate. Thats not very nice. Its not like sam is new here and needs your cheeky 'help'. Flaming long standing members that make real technical contributions wherever possible is not very smart. If you can contribute please do so, if you wanna start arguments, you will have no future here, ok. On topic I say 4age. Ks are cool but really only capable of being impressive if boosted, tuned within an inch of their life, or installed in a light car.
  6. Hes probably the f@$kwit that rings the cops everytime someone has a party 4 streets over. I dunno what these retards expect. Ive now taken to freerevving the car while coasting down his street just because I want him to confront me again. Its pretty funny. "What have you got to say for yourself" he said. bahahaha. :) :( :hmm:
  7. Don't muck around on an internet forum. What you need is a scan tool and a decent mechanic. Most likely dead sensor or wire, which one, i can't say. Not likely anyone will be able to say categorically without running a few tests.
  8. f@$king wankers. What kind of moron walks down a dark street in a navy tracksuit and then complains about the cars going by. I think he heard the induction noise and assumed I was doing about 300klm/hr. Loser. So then he gives me a serve for "speeding" as he put it, then I give him a serve for walking up a dark street in the dark, whilst wearing dark clothes when there were 2 footpaths available. f@$king wankers. I suppose he goes to the beach and tells the sand to f@$k off.
  9. Ok, i just softened it with kero, scraped it off with a brand new stanley blade as not to scratch it (cabinetmakers trick), and then buffed it off with wet and dry. there were a couple of spots that i touched up but not much really. Just heard from Terry (mungi mods) that the other 2 wheels will be good to go by this weekend. Woot. i think he might come over and flare gaurds and fix more rust too! Champion! Also might strip down the w57 and see if anything needs doing and put the brass shifter kit into it.
  10. Didn't mess up the paint too bad either...
  11. Size means nothing, its the grade of the metal. I was talking to my mechanic mate yesterday about axles. He said they could buy these gauranteed never to break race use only ultra light axles for customers saloon car diffs from some place in Melbourne. The funny thing was they were way skinnier than the stock axles. Just better stuff. The Kouki axle in my diff expands once or twice in diameter as it approaches the bearing. Its a fair lump of a thing, bout the same size as borg warner. Probably not made of sandstone, however. Either that or they seem to last longer in diffs with lsd available as said above.
  12. Welcome back to the joint... Need pics of this mystery wagon... Settle for oil on canvas but prefer photos...
  13. Its an easy 4x114.3 conversion. Just get later model hubs and axles. There are more specific details in other threads if you search the mechanical sections.
  14. Looks awesome mate
  15. I have now removed the rubber stripes from all around the car, in readiness for painting the front end white.
  16. My paint is terrible so I used 800, i had shoddy touch up to rub back as well. It wasnt warm enough to do any more on it today so I might do some touch ups tomorrow.
  17. Yeah it needs a paint really, just to clean it up, so that might get done rather soon after the gaurds get fixed. I literally wet and dried all the powdery white top layer off the whole car, its a brighter white now. Just needs polish.
  18. Gave her a wash...
  19. nah just some cheapies. No need for Advans on a daily.
  20. Will look like proper fitment when its flared and fixed.
  21. Cages can be pretty heavy, depending on what they are made from, and how comprehensive they are. I had my ae71 with 20v conversion, ae86 diff, bigger brakes. Tools in the back, full interior minus carpet and door trims, spare tyre, all seats etc. It was 1060 with me in it. That was on the weigh bridge at the dump. If you deduct all the loose crap and myself you are looking about 930kg, near enough to what the book says. Vehicle weights are the most lied about shit amongst car enthusiasts. I had a guy tell me once his ke70/7age was "about 700kg". Thats with a celica diff in it too. He had a full interior minus sound deadening, no other weight reduction to speak of. I said ok then you should spank me in a race, 1.8 litre/700 kg vs 1.6 litre and 1060 kg. So we lined em up and he got pantsed. Do not believe everything people tell you.
  22. http://www.technotoytuning.com/productdetail.php?p=789 + ae86 struts + good dampers = win.
  23. Yeah misses it all no spacers.
