  1. hey nick name: marksKE25.... i know dull, but i was in a hurry when i signed on... Real name: mark, I'm happy with being called that, never been one for nick names, the rides, Daily: 2000 RAV4 the rally/other daily KE15 sprinter. just got it, however been in the family for a number of years, my late father help the previous owner build it 20 years ago, and the project A KE25. to get a 2TG with work is going slow as money is being taken up with the new corolla and a new born baby.... love the site,i am on here almost daily however i don't post all that often as i tend to use the search option to find the answers to my question.. will try to be more active the ke15
  2. I work for a company called Staging Connections, at present I install audio system, vision and stage lighting for corporate shows, i am training to becom a events manager. the hours a long but its still pretty cool work.
  3. i used to have an 1966 MGB and i was insured with shannons as i had it insured for $12000 and the yearly premium was $400 and it was rather modified with allot of stereo gear... in a convertible, granted i never had to claim but the next closes quote i got was from RAC and that was $1500. so in my book they are pretty good, still got my other cars with them as well and they are the cheapest for me. Had it on a limited drive policy, they dint want a km reading either:)
  4. For me it all depends upon who they get to present it, for the lad who present it now are what make the show such a stand out for me. Its has the danger of becoming like the "car show" on 9
  5. oohhhh thats a good starting point, like wise I'm waiting to see what you are going to do. 2TG would look good in there... :D
  6. I mainly buy thing off ebay, and have paid allot for postage. what if the fee for selling something?
  7. I'm normally the first to say "make it go faster" but a classic like that that is in so good condition and by the looks of things original, you would be mad to do anything to it. If you have the patience of someone who is wiser beyond your years you will keep it, bring it out on sunny Sundays and put it in classic car shows when the mood takes you. Cars like that will always go up in value now. If you sell it it will probably be a collector who buys it, and remember there is no capital gains tax on cars. thats my opinion anyway
  8. The happy section of law that you are entering into is the Trade Practice Act 1974 (cth). sec 52 to be precise , its a very well used section, and one that companies are not afraid to use as it quite easy to get up on. there is a vast amount of case law on it ummm fun reading if you like this sort of thing is the TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX FILM CORPORATION AND MATT GROENING PRODUCTIONS INC v. THE SOUTH AUSTRALIAN BREWING CO LTD AND LION NATHAN AUSTRALIA PTY thats the most famous case. well thats my little legal rant back to the fun
  9. corollas go anywhere and if they don't, they are light enough to lift it out :)
  10. Hey all i was just wondering, with the fact that most of our beloved cars are becoming quite old and because of this it is becoming increasing harder, to find good parts namely panels bonnets and stuff. So what i was thinking was, is there someone out there who can make molds of the panels ( at a tidy profit I'm sure) possible out of carbon fiber or fiberglass or heaven forbid aluminum........ just a thought.
  11. thats beautiful, i like that poem
  12. This is very sad news indeed, I feel for Colin's family for this is a very painful time. I had the opportunity to meet Colin at Rally Australia a couple of times i found him a very likable man who had allot of time for all of the people that put the event together. I guess we will all miss the legend but lets not forget the man.
  13. if you were going to go to the effort in making the back wheels have power then my option would be be the Celica GT4 gearbox and make that puppy 4wd, now that would be fun....

  18. Mate of mine had a older BMW 318i, it used to overheat allot and it too us ages to find out why, it was the thermostat, it had been put in up side down, so from that point the car was call "miss Jane" so for all those who are old enough to remember the kids show mister squiggle will you'll understand.
  19. hey, you might have already looked at it, but this is the link to TRD's historic section of their race cars and so forth . http://www.trd.com.au/TRD/#main/motorsport/heritage if it works this is also a pic of my old mans rally car from the early 80's ( not quite TRD but he was helped by them) mark
  20. First off g'day to all, very new but liking what i see. i am restoring a KE25 and in my search for parts i came across the air con from a TA22 celica. I got lucky, i know. If you are after the air con for your KE then i suggest you widen you search for your air con into other areas like into all Japanese cars of the time, as the were all most the under dash one like the one in the previous photo. As for for the leg room reduced..... do we sit there? ;)
