  1. almost forgot the front of the car!
  2. I have had a bit of fun getting close to having it all back together, it s been a bit time consuming as we are living in the Pilbara now so everything, and I mean everything has to come by post, and for those playing at home yes you can get a bonnet posted from Japan! cost nearly the same as the bonnet but it can be done! I had to mix the paint colour my self as the local auto shop wont do it. but hey makes for fun, its not the best rebuild that has ever happened but at least it looks loved now, and not so much a beat up old rally car.
  3. after the hasty repair work i decided to give the car an little bit of love.
  4. So I went out for a bit a play a couple of months back and well I kind hit stump, so I have had to do a bit of repair work on the front end, I think it might be time to get the whole car painted, and possibly a new bonnet.
  5. It is not a 4 link as such. But this is the set up on my Ke25. I have a Ta22 diff that has been strengthen using forward lower control arms. The leaf springs are still in use. there is also a forward control arm that extends from the diff and is mounted in a fabricated housing that is recessed into where the back seat would be(seats could still be there if not for the roll cage). The diff is a locker which can make it a little unpleasant on the road. It is built for rallying the rear of this car handles very well and I get lots of traction.
  6. I do like it out here. not keen on having to get everything I want posted out, but the fishing is great and there is an abundance of very fun gravel roads for me to play on. oh yeah the housing prices are complete bullshit, a 3x1 house out here rents for about $1000 pre week. Thankfully we are in company housing!!!
  7. My link About 2000km north of Perth!!!
  8. So the Wife has taken a new Job within Rio Tinto. So we have packed up the family and the corolla and moved to sunny Wickham. Where the hell is that I hear you ask, well it's about 1 hour north of Karratha!! So I am just a bit curious to see if the is any Rolla club members out in the Pilbra as well!
  9. My Ke25 has a 2t with 3t internals so 1.8L with twin 40mm webbers gets about 12-13L/100km. It's rather thirsty now that I think about it.....
  10. Now all you need is a truck full of Coors Beer
  11. yep i have the molds....
  12. yep waiting on some parts so i can get it painted and back on the road, it has a brand new cage it, so I'm looking forward to getting that back up and running again!!
  13. yep dad made the panels, I took it for a play up the back of the hill in perth and 100mph is not an issue.... i think i will leave the engine as dad intended. I am getting the breaks overhauled on monday as it pull wickedly to the left... not good at speed!!!! I will bring in out for the next cruise
  14. So this is my new toy, It was build by my father about 25+ years ago, I recently acquired from a family friend, (it was build for him) It was repainted in my dad's racing colours when he died and was present at Rally Australia about 13 years ago. it's a complete Animal to drive. The 2t is no longer a 1600 it has the internals of the 3t with a very aggressive cam. the diff is locked and the rear end is heavily reinforced and all the goodie in between. All the removable panels except the doors are all fiberglass, and I have the molds to go with!!!! anyway here are some of the photos I have taken hopefully i will get some of it playing in the dirt soon. Cheers Mark
  15. I instal TV Antennas in Perth WA. What you need and questions that ned to be asked. How far are you away from the transmitter (the tv stations one) The terrain between your house and the transmission. You have a tin roof so indoor antennas are going to be very limited same as putting one in the roof space. You need one on the roof. Every time you split the cable to a different outlet you lose about 4-5 db so if you have a 4 outlets in the house you need a 4 way splitter DO NOT USE MULTIPLE 2WAYS you will degrade the digital signal. At the antenna for a 4 way splitter you will need a signal strength of about 60db to do it without a booster. If less you will need a booster (signal amplifier)I recommend the kingray pole mounted ones. the Amp goes before the splitter as close to the antenna as you can get, once the signal degrades in the lines then it can't be brought back. use proper connections all the way along. With digital you get a perfect picture or nothing. if you have any question please don't hesitate to ask.

I know your Pain, i was involved with Rally here in Perth since the test event in 1988 until stupid F*&king government decided it wasn't profitable enough!!!!! FIA are going to get jack of Australia if we can't keep the event in a consistent location.

  19. Problem lies between keyboard and chair. My favorite
  20. going to have to decline this one as the Ke15 is going to the soda blaster on the 27th of sept and I have to have it striped bare by then :D
  21. Control of your right foot also controls the rev limit.....
  22. I had a RA60 Celica import with the same chime that came on at 104kph. the chime is located in the air con duct in the center of the dash, so that that air con works as a resonating chamber. Very very annoying, ripped that sucker out!!!!!
  23. Welcome to Rolla club!! you defiantly made an impact on your arrival!!!!! I do like the conversion work that you have done on that! we all hope to see you on the next cruise, as part of it!!!
