Bahaha MG's cannot hold their oil in their engine's. Increasing the pressure inside just means it will squirt it further outside |blink|

Sounds good to me, I will bring my ke15

"dodgy" Mods Youve Done To Your Car
marksKE25 replied to Evan G's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
Ke35: used Gaffa tape to fix top radiator hose . 82 Cameria : kinda broke the rear hinges on the door, spot welded the door. and welded passenger seat as the back adjust was broken, RA64 Celica: had a cracked piston and was getting allot of back pressure out of the top of the engine mainly smoke, and allot of it, So a hose Gaffa, and a 1.25 coke bottle stuffed with cotton wool as a filter. the good old rope as an accelerator cable into the cab Mitsi Express van. Patrol: thermostat housing had rotted away rebuilt the housing with a hacksaw blade and plastic metal stuff. Fixed the sump of a Mini with supa glue, a strip of metal and roofing tech screws, one of my dads from Rallying was; broke the steering control arm on the last day of the an event we had a metal tow rope and a welder......... Same event all of the front panels were fiber glass and were smashed we were in Sydney for the event and we living in Perth, so all of the front of the car was rebuilt with tape and sponsor stickers. I think that is enough, it got to the point where I was not allowed to own Gaffa tape as I wouldn't properly fix anything while I had it. -

The reason we have kids is so that we have some to help us with our cars :bash: I have 2 corollas which take time and money, but I make it as much a time with my boy as I can, he likes to help. (he is only 1yrs and a bit) But I wont change it for any thing.

hey I would love to have a closer look as to how you have mounted the flares... I have the same ones for my ke25..... Just haven't been brave enough to start guessing as to how to prep the metal behind, ie fold the the metal out........

then more broken than you could imagine :D
-
had the same problem this weekend, turns out it was a I a hole in the inlet manifold a big one. :D

had you been doing allot of mechanical work on your bikes?, if not then I'd go with a simple install like the 4k and go nuts on that, going to whole engineering route can be an expensive learning curve. soo many thing you don't think of till it going in. Just about anything in A ke11 is going to be quick as they weigh bugger all. Looking froward to seeing some pics of the little beastie!!

i got mine fro the ke25 off ebay it was about $110 for 4.

depends on what you would call cheap in the way of suspension. are you able to fit products yourself? ie struts, cross members, springs What kind of racing track vs rally? best thing take it to somewhere like Pedders or who ever is close and get a quote, for a basic set up and that will give a basis on what the price will be to get it professionally done. then you can work back from there. remember good suspension stops you from going into a wall or tree.

hey i have a friend that works for autologic, and their degreaser is the best i have ever come across, it cleaned all of the really dity oily stuff, however.... you can use it neat but it not advisable, as if you leave alloy to soak in it, it will melt it and neat. cleaning products

How Much Metal Do You Remove From Around Rust
marksKE25 replied to TE278U's topic in General Mechanical
now that would look sweet, go the removable roof, the vinyl look would fit in well with age of the car. -
hehehhe i think i remember you.. i get allot of looks driving around in it. adults just kinda stare but kid openly point at it, I have one ever seen 2 others like it on the road before. I have competed in it before when it with its previous owner but as a navigator, I'm hoping that I will be able to start again early next year, in state rallys or targa stuff. but soon I want it in kanacross. but we will seen, for now it just great fun.....

lol same thing happened to me when we made it!!!!!

id like to be in on a cruise, the old ke15 would like the drive and to meet other rollas... my hours and stuff at work have settled to a nice Monday- Friday with the odd weekend shift, but i ill be there.
-
hey all, the ke15 in question is mine. its been around my family for about 25 years, i took ownership of it about 5 months back, it is now my daily driver, very comfortable to drive from Rockingham to the Perth every day. its great i get free parking where i work cause the guys at the gate like the car as well... I'll bring it on the next cruise.
-
can you turn the engine over manually, ie with a spanner, with the clutch in or out?
-
I'm not in a band, but i do do sound mixing, stage lighting and vision. my work desk... , does it count?
-
been into rolla since i was a kid, my dad used to rally them and build them for local competitors in Perth, so i grew up on a steady diet of ke25's with 2t s and later 2tg's in them. I've owed 5 of them now and just love the way they drive and that they are fairly unbreakable..... as for the k15 and the KE25 thats broken in my shed thats another story...

conversion like Prince Charlie, convert the car to run on wine, i think the year of the car should be the year of the wine that you use.....
