Hydraulic Lock...how To Get The Car Started Again
muller replied to love ke70's topic in General Mechanical
rev rev rev bubble bubble gurgle................*flatline* i mean its fixable, but was so avoidable -
it does seem like I'm goin on a bit hey. demiure is probably gettin sick of me too :rocknroll: club stuff at the moment, the race callendar for my local club is a meet every month or 2 months cannot remember. they do khana cross and motorkhanas all on dirt with 2 motorkhana's on tarmac as well as 1 hill climb event for the year. I'm not after a car that will handel like a porsche or something, although that would be great, but id like to hit the ground running if you know what i mean. good clean workable setup. hope that cleared that up. ive got what jamie said written down somewhere and plan on investigating prices very soon. i understand what you mean about personall setups too rob but if a trend emerges then its likley that thats a good place to start. am i making scence?

Ke20 Mile To Kilometre Conversion Queries
muller replied to Trent-KE30's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
i think that i have 2 or 3 of them actually. just wondering what there worth and where from incase i ever have any hassels. want a te27 instrument pannel though, with the taco :y: :rocknroll: now there rare AND expensive :P -
i like the head exploding therories that you say are in there though. ever heard the saying "make it so a fool can understand it and only a fool will use it" works in this case. my friend is seting up an 86 for drift and has got the obligatory 10 and 8 kilo springs. thats like a tobogan on snow, NO GIVE, you feel everything. thanks for the pitstop link as i was googleing and all i could find at the moment was books in the US, i think i needed to narrow my search. what do you actually race, circut or what? your avatar suggests circut but might just have been a track day or something (i reckon its cool anyway) and I'm not sure i agree with factory cars not snapping back, my parents VT's go out nicley and then as son as it started its snapped back and its horrible. ill have a look around and let you know if there are any other caroll smith books with good stuff in them. in the mean time ill have to get Fred Puhn's handeling book and hammer it in :rocknroll:

huh?? i mean if you drive into a really big puddle and you look out the window, which is actually pretty easy now with todays tech advances :rocknroll: and you see the water gettin pretty high then you would back it up wouldnt ya? unless he hit the puddle hard cause it was flowing at a fair pace and thought it might wash it sideways. :y: thats generally not a good thing. :P -
buy a what?? :rocknroll:
-
carefull you don't pass out and bang your head on a coffietable and brain your damage. :P you gettin a massive headspin after doin that?? love ke70: you only need 1:42:01 to beat jamie, just get someone to hold your mouth shut :rocknroll: lol
-
i think i know what happened after he did whatever he did during the corner. has come in and lost it however and done a 180degree spin and hit the gutter on the left hand side which was all pushed under looking and then maybe because the direction of the front wheels did something but it has changed direction after it climbed the curb and hit the drivers side on what seems a backwards 45 degree angle into the tree. there is no update on him either so, whoknows.
-
man, somehow i can imagine you doin that. like the lynx add, "show them the way". but you doin it with carb cleaner :rocknroll:
-
no.....no.....NO, don't talk like that teddy. theres still hope somehow. i like driving a thirsty noisey car too man, but if they start barking up that tree then its even more insentive to update to a late model engine. SR20 hmmm :rocknroll: its not all bad..........just :P
-
you should be able to listen to your motor and feel it sort of if that makes any sence. my cousin is into drift and has a 5" tacko and he says he only wants the shift light but its the same as a light and taco so why not get the both. couple of months and he says that he dosent even look at it. but yeah personall preference, agree there. havent heard much about the spit fire guage that KErolla is on about, they a reputable guage brand?

welcome abord man. and old skool rollas ROCK :rocknroll:

dam tiger you got stripes burnt in nice. i got burned too standing out in the sun (nose and back of my neck) but it was worth it cause working night shift you can't get much of a tan up working under fluro light all night and then sleeping all day awsome turnout and everyone just clicked so well together and instantly got on great (thanks to tiger cause he never shut up :y:) i love the wheels on the mr2 as well, look the goods. and how cool was that rootman just happened to be driving past and spots the gathering and pulls in. (LOVE THE STICKER ON HIS CAR) neally got a ke25 and a ke20 on the way home ;) i will eventually collect the entire set. and thanks for the stickers, ill get em on me daily soon as and i reckon it will draw a few people out of the wood work in my area. loved kangaroosa's 30, i don't think anyone else heard it pull up but it sounds sweet as too. :y: what did those random cops come through the carpark, do a 3 point turn, give some people evils and take off for?? was there a point to that or what? whatever the plan is next it has to be near that roundabout, :rocknroll: and did you ever get a picture of that blue car you were droolin over tiger? well worth the trip :P

didnt exactly blow up and take the bonnet off but its basically dead (last legs) and i put it all down to his bling bling 4puk button clutch which shook and ratled the shit out of his car and put a million vibrations in the interior and killed the rest of his drive train in front and behind it. it also dosent help putting it flat to the floor and reving every gear out to 7 or so after the engine has warmed up for about 3 secs on a good day. i thought it was an achievement too as the good old SR are pretty reliable even stock and can take an awsome hiding. but this ones good as dead. havent talked to him for a while but it has bad noises and wont rev past like 1500rpm. might be fixed now but who knows. :rocknroll: thats what you get
-
and where would you reccoment on getting the How To Make Your Car Handle by Fred Phun book from and does anyone know what its worth roughly. i am looking right now but I'm not having uch luck. just gettin a bunch of links that mention the book.
-
ill have a look at that asap, cause after the engine thats my next big step. at the moment i see it that you should have stiff springs as you get more out of them than a swaybar in respect to tuneability. then if you still need more or you decide you want it stiffer for whatever reason then add a medium swaybar or something. am i completely off track by that or is that ok? because the one method will more affect front back and side to side movement and the other will only really target side to side novement. dosent one stand a little above the other. i understand what jamie said about yous just stating how things have worked for you or havent but i find it a little hard to go with two completely differend methods being so neck and neck. but hey, I'm new to trying to make a rolla handle and any advide is well apreciated :rocknroll:

youll have to get onto super jamie, hes good a pulling equations out of somewhere for almost anything you need to know -
whats wrong with a 5" taco? and how did you join the wires? my friend just twisted them around eachother and had nothing but problems. sent the taco back and they sent it back sayin it was fine. hasent put it back in yet though.

i have a soft spot for the kp30, they look like a mini version of a ke20 but the 20 is a tiny car already, so these things are litteraly a go-kart with a shell. good luck with the kp61 sounds like itll be good as when finished. need picks too :rocknroll:

the wheels look the goods but you so need it lowered and soon :P and theres no way that your (love ke70) speedo will be very acurate with those mods me thinks. but a cop might be able to help you with that :rocknroll:
