It IS drinking alcohol have a dive through wiki to get a crash course in fuels. 98 is 'pure' petrol, though petrol is made up of a load of stuff. E85 is 85% ethanol with 15% regular petrol (duno which ron it is though i doubt it would matter at those concentrations).

Cheap accelerometer would be just as useful for 'shift light tuning'

10% is nothing its really not THAT caustic to plastics. Youll find a lot of those stories from places that run 50 - 70%. Just have a look at the people making and using biodesiel they are pumping through much more than 10% into old trucks.

Bring it on! Ethanol strips old rubber, but new rubbers should (should) be able to handle 10% easy. IMO its blown out of proportion. Ethanol makes less specific energy / weight, but burns cleaner and cooler (run higher compression and or boost and or timing) I want E50 :D

I'm looking for some splits, i don't want to spend top dollar. But i don't want absolute crap. I was considering Jaycars Kevlar splits but people are saying there very bright to the point of hurting your ears. I might drop into the store tomorrow and have a listen. I'm looking to spend under $200 (100-150). Suggestions?

^^ :hmm: You might be surprised when mounting small bonnet scopes (Near the front) that you might have a negative pressure. So be careful :P The best place imo would be right before the wind screen, you will get a positive pressure there. Aerodynamics is really surprising and alot of your intuitive thoughts are wrong (atleast mine were :yes: ). Best thing if you want to find the ideal place and a play around with a manometer (or similar thingy) testing different spots on the car.

You can pick up kits for around $50. There easy to install depending on what your term of easy is. Remove door trims, mounts actuators and bend and tweak the connecting rods. iirc took about 4hrs to do 4 doors.

Or you could just not bother at all and sit at home playing with yourself. Id say go for it if you want to make a 55. It will be more expensive but at least it will be a little more unique :)
