  1. So heres the low down, cylinder #1 is giving me major troubles. It seems though the piston is hitting the spark plug. (Ie thread name :jamie: ). I have double and tripple checked they are the right plugs. I have double checked the distance from the piston to the start of the spark plug thread (TDC). I have cranked it over, the spark plug does not hit, only when it is fired up does it manage to start chewing on the plug. Totally stumped. I was thinking maybe a lose conrod cap ? But wouldn't that be noisy as hell, there really is no death rattle noise when it is fired up. I'm totally perplexed what to do???
  2. I'm in!
  3. Advertising, its _everywhere_
  4. I though 4agze ecu's have a tach out?
  5. No and I'm freaking out at the moment. Cylinder one isnt firing well. Reason being, spark plug being hit by piston. After tearing my hair out and though I had put wrong plugs in I found a disturbing discovery that the head has been milled a significant amount. Being the noob I was when i put the motor together I didn't take notice of the massive shave that looks to have been done In its previous life. It only smashed the plug once the motor has fired up, it dosnt change when its just reved by the starter. It goes from perfect gap to 1/2 gap in about 1min of running. I'm going to pull the head off and have a closer look, if any one could shead some light on this before I do so though would be grea
  6. Read heaps on it, learn nothing from reading then muck around with it on the road :) Also BUY A WIDE BAND! really worth it and necessary for any practicle on road tuning, narrows are useless apart from tell you your at stoic. I lernt from scratch aswell, this whole car is just been learning how to do things I knew nothing when i started. And still now know enough to know I know nothing
  7. cheers, been getting dusty just moved so been busy with that. Prepping laptop for tuning as i post this, got one that can actuality be used with the power cord unplugged.
  8. Try venting the engine bay space better, has it got an undertray or a front splitter? You can have all the frontal pressure in the world but if it carnt get any were you know...
  9. All the luck, ill cry if something happens to it
  10. Hmm pop up lights, not going to happened again, re pedestrian safety, I like the style, but I like a lot of the new age style any way. motor, Id rather have VVTi, actually id rather have a turbo. No wait, I would really like a boxer 4 turbo in a FR layout. I really like this car.
  11. lol thats where I thought the title came from :lolcry:
  12. I know a hardcore Christan (church every sunday prays before meals ect )who breakes up peoples marriages, says a little prey and thinks shes good for the rest of eternity, also shes a complete slag to my brother and sister. Still amazes me we have religion at all in a 'advanced society' and yes I'm bagging out all religion.
  13. Amazingly fins tunnels and air dams DO effect areo dynamics. The profiles have to be aggressive to get the desired down force. ^^ wtf its about about body kits not rolling? Looks pretty doge any way maybe you should have got flares instead.
  14. No channels want to look like heartless monsters.
  15. If its a standard gze, like trev said the entire intake system is under vacuum because the TB is before the charger, you could always fit one after then you would need a BOV. It would also increase throttle response (TB after charger)
  16. Last time I checked it was $11 a can? One can would easily do the block.
  17. Should be able to get them through repco or something like that, or ring them up. Hold up... :P its ACL www.acl.com.au/
  18. You would want to replace the rings any way. If it dosnt need new pistons which it sounds like it dosnt~$1000 should do it. Hit up ALC for bearings, rings ect. The only things i really suggest is getting the proper sized piston ring inserter thingy. I used a crappy supershit adjustable one and broke an oil ring. For around IIRC 800-1000 I got all the bits n' pieces with everything checked, head shaved all parts acid dipped and balanced.
  19. Do you have the pistons? If not probably not. $800 will get you all the gaskets, bearings and machining work done (depending on what you want). Then if you want to diy your going to need the tools to do it.
  20. Nokia, my um the 'new' generic slidey phone i got 2 years ago has never failed me its even servied me jumping into a pool with it in my pocket. Also nokias have the best layout.
