  1. Talking to Datgirl today about this event (yes we are going!), and if you're thinking about entering, you MUST pre enter. Will post supp regs shortly.
  2. Don't know what the RON rating is, but yes, you can tell by the smell, and it's easy to spot. Got quite a sweet smell to it.
  3. This sounds like a job for..... SUPER FOOK!! :P
  4. I wish I could run AvGas, I can get it cheaper than what I'm paying for Ultimate98. After talking to Iain, he was saying that in the Evo7 they get 1.2km per litre in competition, using $7 per litre Elf Turbomax! I'm not bitching too hard about fuel costs! I used about 35 litres on the Challenge. Justatoy, remember, most parts needed are x4 if you have twins, 4 chokes, 4 jets....etc. They really need a dyno once they're on, too.
  5. If you buy second hand Webers, you still need them looked at by a professional, due choke sizes, jets etc. New 45's are about $650 each. Second hand aroud $300 each, then rebuild. It would be cheaper to get someone competent to rebuild yours, or at least get a professional opinion that they're rooted. I suggest the Carbtech in Redcliffe, Iain did mine and they're superb. He's not particularly cheap, but the job will be right. I would not hand them to anyone else. Warning: If you don't like spending money, don't play with DCOE Webers..... fuel economy on my 3K is one litre per 8 kms on transport, and one litre per 3kms in competition, and parts aren't real cheap, either. P.S: One "B" in Weber.
  6. Is that NZ$ or AU$, Fook?
  7. It's behind about 150hp worth of TRD 5K. The words "ballistic rocket" come to mind... 04170003_vi.jpe
  8. I know a couple of people who do them. What do you require?
  9. If you are in Queensland, you will need an LA1 blue plate. What sort of KE is it going into? (Sorry, too lazy to trawl back 3 pages...) Shouldn't think you'd need a brake upgrade. If you want to do one, though, talk to me in about 3 months, and I'll tell you what I've done to the TE55. ;)
  10. Irokin, if you think that's bad, I know someone who's running 5.1:1 in his KE70 at the moment....
  11. I also want the square cut gear set to suit t50... ;) *sigh* It would put a horn on a jellyfish......
  12. Just an interesting link. All prices in NZ$. http://www.palmside.co.nz/parts_toyota_frameset.htm I want the 4.7:1 diff ratio. ;)
  13. Start with a 4K, it's much easier. There is I believe different blocks with different webbing though... ;)
  14. As far as I know, there is no such animal as a stroker kit for a 4K. Overbore is the way to go on that one. Jamie would know better than I. There's a reliable 120hp at the fly if you give it to someone who knows what they're doing. I've got that out of a 1359cc 3K. Be prepared to spend some dollars. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing properly.
  15. With all due respect, no dates= no commitment. Interested though.
  16. That would be me wouldn't it Amy?? Don't worry too much, Datgirl would have me shot on sight if I turned up to Bailey's. Now where's that fake moustache??
  17. I'm still trying real hard to get to Benarkin too. Hopefully Mrs Redwarf will have had child by then!!
  18. These results are VERY provisional, holes have aleady been found, and changes will be made..
  19. So I don't look like a complete ogre, I should point out that it is normal for the nav to contribute to the running of the car, and to Mel's credit, she also did a lot of help in the preparation of the car, too. Rallying is not a cheap sport, It costs me over $400 to $500 each time I do a rally, and that's with someone else paying the entry. I know some navs who never pay for a ride, some of them aren't that good, either, and hence, you don't see them that often. I was very lucky with Mel, in that from the very beginning she worked hard to do the best job that she could, she learn't quickly, and although made the occasional mistake, never made the same one twice. She is now reaping the rewards of three years hard work, and it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling that I may have helped contribute to the success she's having now. It's not an easy or cheap raod to follow, but if you have the commitment, you can succeed. ....You do, however, need an extremely strong stomach......
  20. While you're at it, can you add a few to mine??
  21. Great day had by all! Didn't get to see you run all day though Fook. Alternator crapped itself just on entry to driveway at home, must have heard about the replacement plans!! Great photos as always, Fook. God I love the low springs and grippy tyres!!
  22. Teddy, 32 psi all day everyday, you can't go wrong. Will be running the Falkens at 38 psi cold tomorrow. My rally tyres grow around 6-8 psi when hot.
  23. Yes, do the next rally in Rockhampton! :)
  24. That's very high quality, well travelled dirt I'll have you know... :)
  25. The new Redwarf Motorsport soon to be patented, infinitely adjustable heavy duty strut brace. Not for the faint hearted, this will allow strut top camber adjustment hydaulically in just moments! Orders will be taken!
