  1. That Ford is at the 1000 lakes rally in Finland. I believe Colin McCrash has the record.
  2. Who'd have thought that one navigator could ppush a car sooooooo often, and still be able to operate!! Yes, it was crap. It can be so soul destroying when little things keep going wrong. We just kept fixing things on the fly, and kept going 'til the next thing broke. That's motorsport I spose. The highs are amazing, and the lows are just about enough to kill you. Possum Bourne said that it was when you are having a bad time, you just have to remember how good the good times were, to keep you going. I'm still wondering if Datgirl will ever climb back into a car with me...... There may be a "no pushing" clause in the agreement....
  3. Mmmm, I think the AE86 was on it's way to an endo. If you notice how high the back is in relaton to the front, my theory is the back is still going up, while the nose is going down. If it landed alright, it would have hurt, and the service crew would have been picking them up! The Ke70 on the other hand is sitting flat, has good attitude and whilst landing hard, they would have kept going.
  4. Confirmed, that would have landed alright, great pic! Would probably have taken 10- 15 minutes to get the seat squab out of the nav's rectum though...
  5. Hey Craig, at least you're not doing a rally the week before. Anyone for helping me rebuild the car next week? :)
  6. The AE86 bilongum to the White's. Ex Rally car from down on the Coast. Very nice unit, Red too! :)
  7. Emporer Hirohito died without apologising for the 120Y... :)
  8. Eeerrmmm.... I'm actually *cough* older than 30. If in doubt, check my age on my profile.... :) Datgirl, don't kid yourself, you really are old... :)
  9. http://rally.com.au/ViewNews.aspx?Item=791 "I can already move my accelerator foot,†said Evans... The man's a legend. The car's a bit rooted... http://rally.com.au/ViewNews.aspx?Item=798
  10. And.... Giddee up!
  11. And......
  12. and.....
  13. Finally got hold of some photo's. These were taken at the Mitsubishi bitumen stage in Imbil. Photo's copywrite and courtesy of Winton photographics. Please do not post elsewhere. :)
  14. Heaven?..... Heathen......
  15. Fook, 45 psi reduces side wall flex. Used to find scrub marks almost to the rim. Apart from that, I dunno, it just seems to work well. P.S: Bending the struts is called camber correction. :)
  16. Road pressure 36 psi, that's what I ran my Yoko's at. Any more and you wear the middles. Motorkhana pressure, 45 front, 36 rear. Always works well.
  17. Now I have weekends free, I'll hopefully be there too, rallys permitting. A539's are good tyres for road, but for bitumen motorkhanas I use 185/60 13's remoulds. Soft and disposable! :)
  18. * CLICK * !
  19. Being unemployed shortly, it could come in handy. ;) "Aunty Datgirl", has a nice ring to it! :) R
  20. I think the words "Uneconomical to repair" came into the equation! :)
  21. Correct... I had to get my 14's from Sydney. I'll sell you my 14x6 Simmons and 175/60 14 Azenis' for the price of a small African nation if you'd like? :)
  22. If you want to test fit some 185/60 13's give me a yell, as I have a couple of sets. Stick 'em on and take it for a drive...... R
  23. I thought contractions are what (;)) you have when you have a baby..... :)
  24. Peter, Please ask Helle to stop typing your posts, as Danish screws with my brain. :)
  25. If they're going to run Datgirls old car, you shouldn't have a problem with yours. :)
