Tell me about it. Bub is already three days late. I hope this doesn't carry on through the rest of his/her life!! We'll see about the next one, I'd probably bring Dwarf out though....

True, but realistically, how much is the diff off-centre if you say drop the car 50mm? Surely it would only be mm's? Unless you're hardcore, would it be better to spend the money on say Koni's instead of ..... say Pedders for the handling improvement? All hyperthetical of course, one day I may have a car with a link back end. P.S: Doug: Bluey Motorkhana's well!!

But remember, it's not how much you got, it's what you do with it!! :P Can anyone tell me why every one is getting excited about adjustable panhard rods? (Not a nasty comment, just interested in theories...:P )

Thanks Guys! :P I think you should be able to get a new gear cut for that. There shouldn't be a need to get a complete new set. Cheers R

Google.com is your friend. Don't know of any due to the fact it's not my scene, but google or yahoo.com.au and search ZZE122r bodykit or corolla bodykit, you should probably find something worthwhile. Cheers R

Found this on one of the Aviation boards I regularly look at (pprune.org , the Professional Pilots Rumour Network!). This is not a particularly small door, and the owner would really like this back..... No Ben, it won't fit on your KE20! :P MEDIA RELEASE 2004/25 Cabin Door 8 September, 2004 The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) is seeking assistance from the public to locate a door that fell from an aircraft at about 0715 EST Tuesday 7 September 2004. The aircraft, a Raytheon Beechcraft King Air B300, was en route from Brisbane to Central Queensland at position 149 degrees 51 minutes East, 25 degrees South (approximately 14 NM WSW of Theodore township) and descending through 17,000 ft when the cabin door separated from the aircraft. The door is curved, coloured white and about 1.5 m by 0.8 m by 15 cm. The likely area of interest is bounded by Theodore, Glenbar Station, Flagstaff Hill and Forest Hills Station. Anyone locating the door is requested not to move the door but to mark the location and to contact the ATSB on Freecall 1800 011 034 (24 hour number). Sorry to say it's actually an AE9X Seca. I love the advert on the side of the bus, it's a classic! For what it's worth, I used to catch a Ventura bus just like that one to school. Yes, before anyone says anything, they DID have buses when I went to school, and Trams!!

Things Not To See Out Of Your Window.
Redwarf replied to Redwarf's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
At a guess, someone didn't close the fan cowls properly. I think someone now has an unusual garden ornament. -

Sadly, I too fit all of the above statements..... :P

Teddy, valve springs should also be matched to the camshaft as well. Sometimes double valve springs are the answer to prevent valve bounce, alhough on mine I have single valve springs from a hot holden 202 blue motor (apparently). Don't ask me how they come to this answer, someone with a bit more technical knowledge than myself (Doug?) maybe able to answer this. I've seen the equation, but that's about it... Hope this helps.... R

Economic reasons are the main one, but they certainally take strength into account when they manufacture then. Irokin,we used to run 200 psi in the noses, 180 psi mains on the 700's and the other way around on the 800's. You can use trye pressure to pump up the jack, but it's quicker if you pump it up by hand. Usually they won't actually "blow" as such, merely throw the tread of it. I've seen nose wheels that have thrown the complete tread, but still held pressure.

Yep, most airliner tyres are retreads. Just about the only time you see new tyres on a plane is when the plane is new. Aircraft tyres can be retreaded up to nine times. Each time they are retreaded, the carcass is x-rayed and ultrasound checked for condition. Other things can also put them out, particularly if you've U/Sed it for being staked, or if its partially thrown a tread. (If it's thrown a tread, it can be a warranty/ insurance issue because they can cause a fair bit of damage to flaps, gear doors, wiring, and believe it or not, tailplane.) The date of the retread, plus the amount of times the trye has been retreaded are stamped into the side of the tyre. It appears like; R4 0904, Meaning fourth retread, done in September 04. The main property that allows them to do this, is that basically they're built like a brick proverbial, with the sidewalls being about an inch thick. (No, I won't convert to metric, it's a Boeing, and therefore Imperial measurements! :P) The main tread area is thicker again. Main wheels on a 737NG last between 2 and 4 weeks, and I used to change it once a good bit of canvas was showing, or it got down to the second layer of canvas. (Canvas you say? Well they're not driving to the next port, are they??) Lets face it, it would be too uneconomical to keep buying new tyres. Gee, and some of you guys thought YOU had tyre wear issues! Before anyone asks, I never did find out what a new tyre for one of those things are worth..... Cheers R

You mean a short shift like this? :) This is the Mark I version made for the Dwarf. The Mark II is much prettier. No one really makes bolt in roll cages anymore, although I think Bond in Sydney may still do. No-one makes alloy cages anymore, and you'd be hard pressed to buy a half cage these days. Personally, I get mine built and installed by professionals, but each to their own. I don't think enough people do these conversions to make mass production of engine mounts economically viable. P.S: Ben, you can borrow this one for a template if you would like. R

I'd almost agree with that. My wifes AE101 is eight years old, and had an almost complete respray at 11 months old, courtesy of a barbed wire fence, and the paints now well trashed. Alternately, the Dwarf's paint is coming up 4 years old, and is, within reason, as good as the day it went on. *shrugs* Dwarf is painted in PPG Omni Bright Red, I'm looking to do Bluey in it, too.
