  1. Irokin, you can get a day license to do a motorkhana, a Level 1 license. I think, and Mel can correct me if I'm wrong, the price of the day license can be deducted from the price of the level 2 license if you upgrade ithin a certain time. I think you still have to be a member of a car club........
  2. I get them both fitted if it's a Saturday morning.
  3. So does Tasmanian rego! :jason:
  4. Teddy, mine has never had to go home on a truck. That's why I own a trailer!
  5. My place, a Saturday morning, a die grindershould be able to do it. Cost? Two six packs (Gold Stubbies, one for me and one for the man to press them on!). You supply the bearings (best do both), we'll get them on. We have the technology!
  6. All volunteer officials are cover by insurance at CAMS events. Did they make you sign on as an official at Benarkin? Even iif you didn't I would assume you would still be covered...
  7. Mel, do you want to front Redatto against Redwarf?
  8. 1982 TF Gemini 1984 GJ Mitsubishi Sigma 1990 VN Commodore Wagon (First of the tow cars!) 1988 KE Ford Laser (Mrs Dwarf's) 1969 KE10 Corolla 1974 KE20 Corolla (Crushy crushy!) 1973 KE20 Corolla (Ditto) 1981 KE55 Corolla (Ditto) 1976 HJ Holden One Tonner 1996 VSII Commodore Wagon 1967 Isuzu Bellett 1967 Isuzu Bellett Deluxe Plus of course the four mentioned above! I think I may have had one or two other parts cars, but I don't remember them at the moment...
  9. Is that anything like "Use the force, Luke.."?
  10. It's the spelling fairy's day off, so I'm going to have to translate. Rear Drums had adjusted themselves up REALLY tight. Drums off, adjustment made, drums on. Was it quite that simple? No, but you get the idea..:) Didn't test drive it, but I have confidence!!
  11. Nick, hook me up with your details. Car time? I suppose I deserved that comment. We'd all have equal time in a go-kart wouldn't we? And remember, I'm another year older, and that makes a BIG difference!! I had to have someone with an engine crane to get me out of the bloody thing last year. And I suffered for about three days, too.... Age and Guile verses Youth and Exuberence....
  12. Sorted.... Nothing to see here, move along.......
  13. How can 75 kgs of Dwarf keep up with 35 kgs of Whippet??
  14. Trent, save your money and bypass the mandrel bent exhaust. You don't need it. By all means replace the exhaust if it needs it, but you don't need to go that far. Put the money towards something like decent suspension, a brake pad upgrade or decent tyres. Remember, you get what you pay for.
  15. Lets get off this depressing topic. Who'll have the goods this time? My money is on the "Racing Whippet" again....
  16. Sounds good to me....... Schoolies? I feel so old.......
  17. Front look a bit different from normal? Mmmmm TE37.... http://www.vicrally.com.au/displayphotos.php Bugger, linky no worky properly..... search for the name "Vibert"
  18. Teddy, IDA webers are a down draft carb that looks very similar to the side draft version. I think you would have to cut a long hole in the bonnet to make them fit though. While your at it, you may as well install a PA system and yell "PLEASE PULL ME OVER" at any passing police car. Particularly if your car is painted in primer..... (Sorry Mumblezzz, couldn't resist!!) *Edit: draft=airflow, draught=beer* widabig.jpe
  19. I thought it was just current cars..... do you want me to list all the cars I've had??
  20. I just got my TE55 from Tassie...
  21. Keep an eye out for the khanacross' GCTMC have at gold coast parklands. They have them about twice a year, $55 entry and they're a hoot. Unfortunately they've had the second one for the year, so the nextone wont be til 2005. Mt Cotton is a technically difficult track. Value for money can be ordinary. I only got 3 runs in last time I was there due to 100 plus entries. Lots of hard core hillclimbers, usually have 70 to 100 competitors at an event. I suppose it would be 30 -45 mins from the gold coast...... *shrugs* Apologies for crappy typing, baby on lap......
  22. I think that's a great pity. I found the grounds to be fine, the main thing is that most people found themselves outside their comfort zone, which is not necessarily a bad thing. people are used to having all the space in the world, but this, as we all know is not a perfect world. I thought it was a great venue for promoting the sport, and although the results were a little screwed up, I thought GCTMC did a great job. The sport needs this kind of exposure, particularly in places like BWCP, and I for one would be very disappointed if they didn't do another one next year.
  23. Actually I thought the C was just a designaton given for emissions friendly engines, possibly C for California, the first place they really started cracking down on this sort of thing? 3K-B was the high compression twin carb motor, and there was a 3K-d as well...... *shrugs* Thoughts?
  24. Yes I have too many cars. As Mel said: Redwarf 1971 KE25 Corolla (Rally Car) Bluedwarf 1981 TE55 Corolla (Rally Car) 1996 AE101 Corolla (Mrs Redwarf's car, owned from new) 2003 Mitsubishi Pajero (The Towcar) 1 x tandem car trailer of unknown age. Sorry, I've sold the two 67 Bellett's!! :) Can't beat old school for cheap fun! P.S: Love the avatar Mel!
  25. Christ.... what have I started???
