  1. This topic has been discussed before, in a broad sense. KE30 and KE55 Differences
  2. indeed it was. it sound pretty awsome doesnt it. it would put a horn on a jelly fish haha Its funny how a few of us know the movie, just by listening to the sound. Its one of the noises where i just thought.........hey, thats the red supra on the dyno. I have a few gig of car movies on an old hard drive. Anyone seen the Datsun 240Z with a blown chev in it? Now that's one movie you have to see. Here are some pics Darius
  3. LOL -Funny Stuff Was that Audio taken from a Red Supra on a Dyno?
  4. Make sure you let Craig know about this. We need a minimum of 8 people. I've had a chat to "treble", and he was going to run it past one of his mates (i think his mate is helping him build his KE55 rally car). Havent heard back from him though. So far we have definate interest from: - Tiger - KE30Coupe - SlothSNR - Kangaroosa
  5. Things were going great guns for you the other night when we caught up. Then all these problems in a matter of a week or two. Clutch and rear brakes.......sounds like Craig has been doing wheelies  How did you go fitting the fuel pump. No problems routing the fuel line through the floor? So have you snapped a conrod? or Dropped a valve? If the 7K is Cactus - I have a 3K down the back. Its in pieces and the bores have a bit of surface rust on them. All the pieces are there, but it would have to be rebuilt. Its yours if you want it.
  6. Perhaps we should get in contact with the circuit first, and see what dates they have available. Any date suits me as i'll arrange my schedule to suit. (its all about the go-karts  ) Colin - I had the opposite problem to you, last time (or maybe i was trying too hard). I kept locking the rears (derr) into the hairpin over the bumps (never actually spun though). It made for big sideways entry and power oversteer exit.
  7. I prefer a Friday night. Although, that night is normally very busy. So we will have to book weeks in advance if we agree on a Friday night. I don't mind doing this on the weekend either, if its more suitable for others. Day or night does not bother me.
  8. LOL - I actually sat back in my seat expecting that screaming zombie to pop up AGAIN.
  9. I'm choosing Auscarts in Port Melbourne too. Suzuka Grand Prix is the package i also choose. Its also the package i normally choose anyway. Besides that, i work 2mins from there. So its handy if we choose to go on a weeknight :angrybird: Hey John, I'm not trying to psyche you out here, but these are the medals you win. :D The scratched up 3rd place medal is actually meant to be 2nd place, but they ran out of 2nd place medals.
  10. Read This Read Me Fill out this form Fill Me Out And wait for a reply.
  11. Are you able to take some pics and share them with us? It may be easier for people to help, if they can see what your faced with.
  12. Here is my crossmember. It bolts to the chassis on the front set of holes. This is still the original cross member i used from on my 4 speed - k40.(i think)
  13. KE70 extension housing. Note the shifter is further back. It also a different mount setup (2 bolts either side). This NOT the one you need. Or maybe it is, if nothing else has worked.
  14. My KE30 was originally an Auto, and now has a 5 speed - K50. There are different extension housings that may be causing your drama's. The KE70 extension housing has the shifter further back towards the rear of the car. It also has a different setup for mounting the gearbox crossmember. If the following pics don't help. Then contact Peter Robinson below. Call Peter Robinson on 9544 1162. He's in Clayton, VIC. Tell him your story. Or even better, drop in. He can be a bit grumpy if you don't have all info together. In other words, make sure you clearly state your problem. This pic is of a ke30/55 extension housing. Note the shifter is further foward and it just has the one bolt to attach the cross member rubber mount.
  15. Heres the link for the Moorabbin Go-Karts. They seem to be very pricey, but the track looks awesome. The multi-race formats are a bit pricey arent they. Moorabbin Here is the Pricing for the Port Melbourne Track. Port Melbourne The official Auscarts website (port melbourne) Auscarts Have a look at the packages section and tell me your preference on race format. The package prices are also listed. I'd love to hear if any other VIC members are interested? The minimum we need is 8 people. But if we get 15+, its enables us to step up to a better package.
  16. I normally go to a place in Port Melbourne. Its indoors and the Karts are OK.......not super quick, but you can get them sideways easily. But i must warn you that i hold the lap record for the group of us that attend. :D Its usually about 10mins warm up. 3 x 10mins races and about 5-10 stuff around time at the end. Group Bookings of 10 or more people are about $50 each. I'm not sure if that is pricey compared to other places? There is also another indoor place in Moorabbin that is supposed to be good too. They have relatively new karts. I have never actually been there, so i can't speak from experience. Other than that, i'm not sure. I don't mind taking a trip out your side of the city either, if you find a decent place too.
  17. Yes we are getting some good weather now. About Time!! I was discussing this topic with SlothSNR the other night. Most of the VIC members don't drive Corolla's everyday, so having a cruise might not be that interesting. However, a BBQ or Go-Karting is higher on my preference list. My work mates and I normally go Go-Karting towards the end of each year (so maybe i'll get a double does of fun). :D If we choose the BBQ route, then i'm open to sugestions for locations.
  18. Apparently its in Pakistan for those who were wondering where it was filmed.
  19. Some of the comments are pretty funny. It seems the majority are against it.
  20. Those White backed gauges would look awesome with some Blue LEDS's. :D
  21. Heres an emmisions layout book for Toyota Carburettor Engines.Ebay
  22. Do any of these help? MapTrax Online Map Geoscience Australia
  23. I'll take a pic and let you decide for yourself. I mounted them on the roof for maximum brightness. It was a pure practicality decision. Its good for reading maps/street directories at night as the pages glow. I never saw the point in mounting lights under the dash/footwells. Theres no need for light to be there - other than aestehtics.
  24. Did you take it a step further and install Blue Cold Cathode tubes as a new interior light? (these things also seem to put out UV light, because anything white or fluro in colour Glows). P.S. For all the people about to say how crap it looks.......You can't even see these tubes on the roof whenever entering or exiting the car.
  25. An MP3 player to match.
