  1. And here i was thinking that you were going to tell us that you had just won Saturday night Tattslotto. p.s. I don't have any tatts to add here.
  2. Unsrew the fuel line fitting from the fuel pump. Chop your fuel line a few inches short of your carby. Then screw a barbed fitting into your fuel pump. *shown in the picture*. Clamp some fuel line to the fitting and then clamp the other end to the existing metal fuel line on your carby.
  3. Do you want to keep the cable? If not, just cut it. But i am sure there is a more reasonable procedure. Like mikey said - can you unhook it from the clutch pedal and then pull the cable out from the opposite direction to what you normally would, with a ke30/55
  4. I saw Todd at one of the Easternats at Sandown, quiet a few years ago. Very Impressive.......even for a commodore hehe. A close look at the engine bay revealed all the impressive engineering and hard work that went into that Twin Turbo V8 Ute. I never knew much about his death in the Alfa, other than the footage i saw of him hitting the wall, and a report that said his throttle jammed. I wasn't aware of the type of race either. I now know there was a whole other side to the story. I'm still amazed how stupid, money hungry promoters can be. Its a shame the pricks got away with it too.
  5. I think its safe to say that he wasnt pulled over by the police. Anyone know what car it was done in?
  6. The following are extracts from the Simmons website.
  7. That reminds me of THIS rally movie. I hold me breath everytime i watch it
  8. Streaming Clip Of Crashes "Right Click and Save Target" Looks like fun. Not to keen on being strapped into a seat whilst the boat is upside down with my head under water though. Speedweek on SBS normally has some of this racing every weekend.
  9. Nope, It was more like this.
  10. The problem with SU's, is that they don't have a jet that squirts fuel. Thats my only real gripe that i have with them..............for ease of starting that is.
  11. I saw a green comet a few years ago. I was walking down my driveway about 6am when a green object caught my eye in the south. It was about half the size of the moon and travelled from east to west and disappeared out of my sight. I got those cold shivers down my spine. At first I thought, i must have imagined it because that stuff just doesnt happen. Or if it does, you never see it in real life. Low and behold it was all over the radio within minutes. Pfheww, I'm not a nutcase. I've searched for it, but can't find any record of it.
  12. I agree whole heartedly. Mine were a pain to start on cold mornings during winter. I cranked my car over for at least 30 seconds one frosty morning trying to get it to kick over, because i didnt have a choke hooked up. Once I hooked a choke up, they started like a dream. Then the choke cable snapped and I havent been bothered to hook another one up because its not so cold of a morning now.
  13. Below your doors are the sills. They should have rubber grommets on the underside. Remove these, and drive the car. Maybe some water will slosh out when you break and accelerate. Water inside the cabin normally comes from the heater vents or rust holes in the section above the firewall (inside the slotted panel below the windscreen). Get inside the car and look under there with a torch. Generally if its rusted, it will be on the far left or right near the air ducts.
  14. That would be my car that you murdered. :jamie:
  15. Good to see my car still getting some coverage.
  16. None of my aisan carbies actually squirted fuel into the secondary choke.........it only squirted fuel into the primary. The seconday is feed fuel through seconday venturi. Thats what mine used to do anyway. In the secondary venturi, there is a plate that is normally closed and only opens under up under load/vacuum. The plate is weighted.........make sure your not confusing the butterfly with this plate.
  17. You have to scroll down and "Right Click and Save Target"
  18. I had a similar problem with the erratic oil pressure reading on my speco electric oil pressure sensor gauge. At 5000RPM the gauge got really erratic and even dropped to 0 PSI at times. However, when the car was on a Dyno with a workshop oil pressure gauge (i guess its mechanical), the oil pressure was a constant 70PSI under acceleration. I have never had the stock oil pressure light come on though. Might be worth checking that there is no rubbish in either of the sensors, if you havent done so already. My 5K also has an intermittant ticking noise (like a lifter). I too am running Hydraulic lifters, but have never considered it to be a severe mechanical noise. But annoys me regardless, considering its only 1400kms old.
  19. Is it safe to assume that they weld metal planks on to the chassis rails first? I was really getting into those railing vids.
  20. I Love It!! :( This is definately one that Jamie will love.
  21. Creedence Clearwater Revival. When i finish compiling my favourite songs from the 1960's and 1970's, then i'll be listening to that. All the music on the radio shits me. They play 20 songs over and over, and even then they are crap to begin with.
  22. My car with 21" wheels. No Door Handles. Tinted Windows.
  23. Search for "Corona Struts" into an early Corolla.
  24. Bugger the tail lights..........Its got a Rotary :D
