  1. I'm sure your apology will be accepted. Its great to see that you realised your error and are willing to apologise and move on. :y:
  2. Since the discussion has gone in this direction, i might as well add this little experience of mine. Here in Melbourne the major Prison was shutdown years ago and turned into a tourist attraction with guided tours. Anyway, scribbled on one of the cell walls (from the high security murderers, rapist's section etc..) was the following quote. "Women are like a deck of cards - You need a HEART to win them over - A DIAMOND to marry them - A CLUB to kill them - and a SPADE to bury them" Its stuck with me to this day. Having said that, i don't agree with it because i love Boobs. :y:
  3. LMAO - Funniest line all week. :y:
  4. Yeah i like that one. Its harmless, cheap and would be something that hasnt already been done in our workshop. The blokes i work with have a fascination with liquid nails. We've had tool boxes glued to the bench, and lunch room chairs glued to the floor whilst they are tucked under the table. Clear sticky tape over computer conncections is also a classic. (just put a small bit of tape over usb and CAT5 connections. 9 times out 10 they check the connection but fail to the tape.
  5. The sugar and salt thing would be a great idea, but this yuppie dosent drink instant coffee. He'd rather go down the street and pay $2.20 for a Latae a few times a day. Windup mouse....this bloke is about 120kgs and would probably crush the toy if he had a chance. :y: Sneak up on him. Thats a top idea. A workmate did that to one of the previous boss's. He snuck up behind him at his desk and smacked 2 bits of MDF together. I reckon he jumped 300mm off his seat.
  6. There is a Relay for the Lights. Its either on the passenger side in the engine bay, right beside the battery. Or is directly on the opposite side near the coil. My KE30 has Relays in both these positions, but i can't remember exactly which one is for the headlights. Years ago mine rusted and corroded up internally, like a battery terminal. The lights would actually stay on, and in some cases would turn themselves on after i had parked the car with the lights switch/stalk still in the off position.
  7. Years ago in country VIC, a bloke was arrested after he exorcised the devil out of his wife and nearly killed her .....or maybe he did kill her (can't remember the exact details. Anyway....he then wrapped the whole exterior of his house in Glad Wrap to keep the bad spirits out. There were pics i the paper and let me tell you, that was a whole lot a Glad Wrap he must have bought from Coles. Its a little off topic, but its still food wrap products related.
  8. A while ago my boss placed an A4 sign on the back of my car that read "Toot if you think i am sexy". Unfortunately i didnt notice it until i got home 1hr later. I only got a few honks  , and unfortunately 2 of them were from other blokes. In retaliation i placed a $17.000 For Sale sign on the back of his $30,000 2004 Rodeo. Then i purchased this Secret Farter and taped it under his chair and activated it when someone went into his office. Priceless :y: Its now come time to step it up a notch and so i came across this site while searching for new ideas. Prank Place I'd like to hear of new and harmless gags that people have pulled.
  9. Ebay it. Some paranoid freak will buy it to protect himself from the radio waves emmitted by the aliens, or the FBI (or whatever its meant to do).
  10. ;) KE70_Rolla - Maybe its time to take some of your own advice.
  11. That Pilot has Skill, and the motor bike rider has big kahoona's.
  12. Its not Pinging is it? Have you checked your points and reset the gap. Then set your timing to whatever your manual suggests. Exhaust flange leak or manifold leak? There are numerous possibilities.
  13. In relation the the carby - it should work fine. I used to have a 3k carby on my 4k and then i also had a 4k carby on my Hot 5k. I didnt have any drama's with either setup. Engine running rough could be a leaking manifold gasket, or carby to manifold gasket. Burnt or pitted points would most certainly make it run rough too. If it's blowing smoke - what colour smoke is it? If its running rich, then its going to be black smoke. If it's burning oil, then its going to be a grey/white smoke (in most cases). The compression on my stock 4k was mid 160's PSI after 4 years of giving it hell. I would have thought 120 is waaaay too low. My 5K as of last week had 155PSI with bores so glazed that you could use them as a mirror. Hence, even 155PSI is low for 9.5:1 compression.
  14. Nice wheels. I was thinking of putting a set on my ke30 2 door but wasnt sure if they would suit it. My doubt has now been answered. ;) Any chance of some bigger side view pics and maybe some closer pics of the wheels and gaurds? (without the flares) How much do the tyres clear the gaurds by (without the flares), and what is the offset of the wheels?
  15. I'm running 9mm leads on my 5k. Off the shelf leads for a Lite-Ace are 9mm. However, the coil lead has to be replaced with a longer item (about 150mm longer). When ordering your leads, just tell the bloke behind the counter make a special note that you need a longer coil lead. Mine didnt cost me anymore than what they would have normally.
  16. A big hello and thankyou must go out the installers of the infamous ripple strip. I guess the officials will now pull their fingers out and listen to the drivers concerns about the curb. Its a shame it took $1mil though. Where do these blokes get all that money for new porsche shells?.....i guess it helps to have rich sponsors. My old boss used to own and race a V8 supercar back in the late 1990's. Entry fee's alone for a weekend of racing is something like $10,000 (or it was back then). In his last race before selling the car, he came first out of all the privateers at Bathurst. The prize money nearly made it a free weekend for him.
  17. Here, Here. ;) I have never had any dealings with the cops so i don't have any first hand gripes. However, i recently purchased a hand held radio scanner that picks up all emergency services and air traffic control. I listen quiet often and find that the police are very reluctant to attend what seem to be menial call outs. They are more than happy to chase down a tail gater or erratic driver on the freeway, but are not so happy to attend domestic disputes or kids sniffing paint in a park. I guess it all comes down to paperwork or lack of interest.
  18. It just so happenes that i was discussing this with Peter Robinson on Saturday. "GM Instruments" trading as "Automotive Instrument Repairs". 59c Glenvale Cres Mulgrave, VIC 3170 Ph.(03) 9561 2366 Fax (03) 9561 9134 Auto Instrument Repairs They manufacture a box that contains replaceable gears. The box is fitted to the back of your speedo and then the the speedo cable plugs into the box. By changing the internal gears within the box, they are able to adjust the rpm's of the speedo cable to correct it back to the proper reading. They drive the car and test the real speed of the car with GPS or something along those lines and then simply swap gears to adjust your speedo reading. This product can be used to compensate for not only varied rolling diameters of aftermarket wheels, but also to compensate for different diff ratio's. The product is a bit pricy at $250. I don't know what speeding fines cost (never had one), but i would imagine thats roughly 2 speeding fines there. I realise this place is not practical for you, but its worth a call to see if they have stores near you, or know of anyone that manufactures a similar product up your way.
  19. hehe - i didnt see that the first time. Good to see you sharing your knowledge far and wide.
  20. I stumbled across this Wiki whilst searching for info on Toyota Publica's. I'm not sure if there is anything new on here, or even if its accurate. I just found it interesting that someone else has gone to the effort of producing a wiki for Toyota's too. Engine Codes K Engines
  21. Superlites are what they are called in VIC. Performance Alloy Wheels The bodywork came up nicely. With a nice paintjob to top it off. The wheels should look Hot too.
  22. When was the last time you serviced it? - Spark plugs, leads, fuel filter, air filter....the works. Does the engine run Hot? Some people may suggest Fuel Vaporisation. Although leaving your car for a few hours to cool and it still didnt start may suggest its not that. Have you checked if the carby is getting fuel and pumping fuel into the manifold when you move the accelerator linkage? Have you cleaned the points (contact set) and reset the point gap? Check the Timing? Pull the coil lead off from where it plugs into the distributor and rest it near a metal object in your engine bay - then crank the engine over and see if it sparks? You may find that it has a weak spark. (mine did this years ago, and was fixed by replacing the coil).
  23. BLOODY BASTARDS!!!! Not the way i planned to start my morning.
  24. MP3 Player and Speco Gauges. (and yes.....I like golden oldies) :P
