  1. Thats a fair comment. Here a few Corolla's that frequent VMRC meetings at tracks like Sandown, Calder and Winton. They are not the fastest of Corolla's, but they give the Gemini's a scare.
  2. http://www.pitstopgame.com/ My best so far is 12.719
  3. We all parted ways at 2:15-2:30 ish. Ohh and that porsche.....well lets just say that he took his balls out of handbag and started to drive the car like it was stolen. Thats something you don't see everyday.
  4. It was great to finally catch up with the Vic members. Great day of racing and i'll get some footage up as soon as i work out how to get it off the camera. :) Yep, there was plenty more footage taken after you left John. Unfortunately i didnt get Colins smoke show. It was a course that involved mainly right hand turn donuts, which filled up his rocker cover and proceded to billow smoke out the exhaust. No doubting Colins driving abilities either. He definately knows his way around that car. :D Ohh and a Rollaclub beanie is a must for next time.
  5. I hate it when those posts jump out at you. I see someone knows their way around Photoshop. :) Its looks nice and slick in the pics anyway.
  6. Hello and Welcome. I would love to see some pics of the car when your finished.
  7. I've just been in Melbourne for the last week. You're in no position to comment... :P :D True. I have no defense. But, the rain is most welcome anyway.
  8. Thankyou, Come Again (in Harpu voice from simpsons)
  9. Would the "Something Else" be a chute to slow you down? *EDIT* I almost forgot :P . One word, Awesome!!
  10. Thats a possibility. Once mine is done, i'll get some pics and post them here. If anyone is impressed and interested, i could take orders. I wouldnt charge $100 of course (just the price for the work done and postage).
  11. All of these people need to undertake a defensive driving course. How long did some of these people have the wheels locked up for? Half of these impacts could have been avoided. http://www.big-boys.com/articles/badaccident7.html
  12. Another Potato gun. This one is on steroids. http://www.big-boys.com/articles/bigpotato.html
  13. Sounds like a plan. If you see me dropping off the back of the pack, don't be offended. I'm probably just distancing myself from your commodore. :Þ See you all tommorrow.
  14. I can't see the pics. Anyone else able to see them?
  15. "Beautiful one day, perfect the next". Pffft, your tourism industry is a bunch of scammers. :Þ
  16. I spoke to my engine builder today about baffling my sump. Two options that he can make are: - Race Type. Basically a box or four walls that surround the oil pick-up. These doors are hinged, and only open inwards to allow oil to flow into the pick-up area. These are effective for heavy acceleration, braking and cornering. Price? $400+ because its all custom and labour intensive. - Cheaper Option / Basic baffle. Plates/tight mesh behind the pick-up to resist the movement of oil backwards under acceleration. Also a curved plate is placed at the rear of the sump to direct the oil back into the pick-up area and prevent it splashing up. (sounds long winded and dodgy, but i saw one he had lying around and it looks pretty schmik). Price? $50 When i take my 5k back in a month or two, i'm going to get him to make the cheaper baffle option. As well as new rings, hone the bores, new bearings, gaskets and reassemble for $750.
  17. One for the pyro's. http://www.croqaudile.com/index.php?article_id=10018

  21. Heres a REAL :(( excel that i just happened to stumble across. I'm sinking to new low, for the sake of $10. sob
  22. I'm always up for a photoshop challenge. Send the $10 care of ........ :(( BTW - I think its a 1991 Excel.
  23. I agree with Jamie on that one. I always use BP Ultimate and never have problems with it. I have also used Ampol Gold in the past. I found this to be a good fuel as well. I don't know too much about the technical stuff, but i know that Shell Craptimax is just that. I had nothing but trouble with it the first few times i used it. Maybe it was just a coincidence that my car didnt want to behave that week, but i didnt see any need to risk using Shell again.
  24. I was scrolling throught the pics, and your car was a clear stand out. :(( I love it actually. The entire package just seems to work really well. Old School at its best. Well done and top job.
