So true, sorry for your loss mate. I've got a big family and there all over the place, but were getting together for my sisters wedding next weekend, can't wait. It's just a shame it takes a tragedy like this to realise what's important
-
Went to an engagement party the other night, and one of the blokes there had an awesome idea for a tatt. He wants to get a rooster hanging on a noose below his knee, just so he can tell all the ladies he's got a cock that hangs below his knee :D
-
Pissed I couldn't make it, my boss screwed me over and I had to work all weekend of the races :P So how was the trip, yous all have a good time :lolcry: Any highlights/mishaps on the trip down and back.
-
Find a wreck and cut and/or drill it off, if you can find one Or you could make your own: Piece of plate and a suitably sized piece of pipe welded together and then to the car, wouldn't be to difficult.

That's an awesome little sleeper, apart from the "don't f@#k with me" front mount. Some good times too, you wouldn't have any shots of the engine bay, sounds like a similar set up to mine. 150 at the wheels would be nice :lolcry: Ninja edit: never mind you beat me to it, very nice with the wheels to

VHT is what I used, but like everyone said preparation is the most important part whatever you use :lolcry:

OK, just a quick up date. Been getting busy with it over the last week because it's booked in for a run on the dyno next Monday and I have a mates engagement party coming up soon and I need some where to sleep :D Almost have the rust under control and the flares came up alright with a coat of paint. Passenger side Drivers side Fiber glass bog is the shit :D

Nice, I love seeing cars striped bare. Have you seen the new green commodore with like a gold pearl, looks hot (for a commodore) Would look even better on an old rolla
-
Thanks man, there looking a bit better now they have some primer on there. Time for a rattle can respray  Yeah mate, once it's back on the road I'll relocate the battery to my other speaker box in the back of the wagon. I was wondering if I could run the power back to a distribution block in the engine bay so i don't have to run a heap of wires through the cabin?
-
Thanks for the link mate, there's some very well presented cars there for a relatively "cheap" form of motor sport. Looks like you guys have some fun
-
Finally starting to get somewhere, have had some issues with the motor as you do when you don't really know what your doing, but all seems well at the moment and should be rolling on the dyno in a week or so. Ditched the 4A for a 4K for rego  I read on here somewhere that all you need to be an official member is to have a few primer patches where you've cut the rust out of your rolla :hmm: well I'm getting there, have removed rust from both rear arches, both B+C pillars, both rear corners under the bumper, around the tail gate and along the drip rails. So much bog, so little time. Also ground out a heap of old bog that had started to crack. It's not perfect just good enough to get her through rego  Added a bit of a flare while I was at it Cheers Harvo

Sounds like a plan. They wouldn't have a website with up coming events and dates would they? If there racing at Bathurst I'll be there for sure. I was talking to a bloke a couple of weeks age who races a mini with a Honda engine in it, but not sure what category he runs in, he reckons I should go to a few meets with them and check it out. I wouldn't mind doing a few track days myself
-
That was awesome to watch, bugger the tin tops I wanna see these at Bathurst. I also got ....cough.... a nana spec Magna wagon, the 3.5 V6 has embarrassed a few hoons in the traffic light grand prix
-
I built my own 6x9 speaker boxes, there big and ugly but it's whats inside that counts  considering I don't actually have any 6x9 speakers Those prefab boxes from strathfield would probably be the easiest option, cause there's stuff all room inside the inner guards. Passenger side has a wheel removing things and drivers side has all that shit in the above pic. Cheers Harvo

Might be worth checking the metal bucket things that the spark plugs sit in. If there bent out of shape they may not be sealing properly
-
Thanks mate, don't know about the Auto switch? Theres only 2 wires being used out of the plug, I'll check how many are going into it
-
Just wondering where it originates from in the engine bay and how many/what colour the wires are? The car has a T50 and it has 2 connectors on the reverse light switch, so I just need to know which wires they connect to in the engine bay. My guess would be they come from here, as there is a couple of cut wires on this plug. Cheers Dan :)

I'm keen to come up for a day trip or 2 :P , and may even come for a cruise to the city. Depends whats happening at work, hoping to have the wagon ready but if not I'll have to drive the magna :no2:

Yeah the pulley has bolts too, and with pulleys like those you'd want nice shiny button top bolts, pricey tho when I rebuilt my ute with the stainless steel allen key bolts they cost me a small fortune.
-
Why not? ;) Not sure if it's FWD or RWD I think it's the RWD bit longer are they? and are the studs in the block? cause mines bolted on, Don't recall seeing any studs, why do they need to be changed over anyway? clearance issues? My water pump Also took the radiator to get pressure tested and $150 bucks later it's not leaking like a sieve. Went to the local Toyota to get a new CTS after mine broke off when fitting the, they quoted me $130.00 and 6 weeks to get here from japan :D Got a new Bosch unit for $22
-
Yeah mate, not going to run with the bonnet scoop just put it on there cause I was bored one day
-
All righty, finally making some progress with this thing hope to have it running buy the end of next week, depending on how long it takes the local Toyota to get me a new CTS after mine broke on the way back in. It's like trying to put a sleeping bag back into it's cover, you know it fits but damn what a bitch to get in there :locked: does any one know if the number stamped on the CTS (coolant temp sensor) out of the housing on the back of the head the part No.? The guy's at the local Toyota are a bit dull and not to help full. Well here she is in all her glory

The P-plater that now owns my wife's old rolla, the kid looks all off ten and yesterday we seen him doing 50-60k's in a busy car park while it was pissing down rain. Drove round to were he parked and it's now covered in gay bumper stickers and has fluffy dice on the mirror :D I see him around a bit and he drives like a f@$king tool, seen him cruise round a corner and dumped the clutch mid corner then torque steer towards oncoming traffic What a nob :P
-
Can't make the plates out, but it's Melbourne for sure :P
-
It's PRICELESS :) The 4wd will be fun in the wet/mud/dirt/snow Mmmm (wipes drool from chin) Cool wagon ;)
