  1. I don't really know  Thinking more towards motorkhana's and khanacross's, maybe Kandos too. Want to keep costs as low as possible, strip some weight, make a tail shaft hoop at work and look into making a cage later on Almost forgot the most important thing CIG locker :2thumbs:
  2. I'm considering turning the wagon into a track spec pig, nothing to serious just for fun. Will have to look into it in more detail once the Datto is up and running. Anyone going to the 12 hour next month at the mountain? Cheers Harvo
  3. Hey man, Cars long gone now but when I pulled the carby down to put the kit through it. I did find the wing nut that holds the air filter on jammed in one of the venturies(spl?) and also the idle adjust screw didn't work before or after the kit but I fix the problem either way. Cheers Dan
  4. 1 more here, still kickin' round but the wagons not rego'ed at present, I'm working on a new project at the moment and in the process of rubbing the car back for new paint if anyone wants to help :) I'm in Lithgow, which is more Blue mountains then central west kind of on the edge of both :D Cheers Dan
  5. Had a new pump on there when I got it mate, but there ain't nothin' a wire wheel on a drill can't clean up :laff:
  6. Hey, it's been a while  Yeah I've still got the car, but I dropped the rego after having more troubles with it, parked it in my dads shed and walked away. After replacing the dead lift pump with a new one I couldn't get it to fire and just gave up on it. Good news is it's fixed and running again as of last weekend, was a dodgy earth connection :laff: She made 240hp just shy of 180rwkw and was a real f@#kin handful when you open her up, comes on boost hard with the big high flowed turbo on there. does suffer a bit of lag tho, but you get that. For now I'm playing with an old Datsun Skyline coupe that I got given, cleaning it up for rego now and will probably give it a coat of paint then flog it of to fund a new computer for the wagon, maybe :( Cheers Dan
  7. Ahhh, P plates those were the days
  8. It's an external pump mate, and the switch sounds like a good idea.
  9. Yes mate I've read through that article but I don't no if the wagons tank is the same, I've been sort of half looking for a spare tank and/or pick-up to do just that conversion. But for now an inline pump seems to be the better (easier) option. Cheers Dan
  10. I'm having some fuel troubles with my car and it would seem that my main pump is draining the surge tank faster then the lift pump can fill it as I found out after some "spirited" driving. Whats happening is the main pump hums along in the back and all is well until you give it some stick, after which the the main pump starts to make a gargling sort of noise like it's not getting enough fuel. Then it all comes to a spluttering stand still. After an hour or so it will fix its self enough to get it home (small town where anywhere is close to everywhere) Anyway I was thinking about one of these carter electric fuel pumps 72g/h (273L/h) at 7psi suitable for 450hp. Motor's a 4agte making 180rwkw (240rwhp) Wondering what other options there are as most other low pressure pumps I've come across are the cheap($50) solid state units. Thanks in advance, Dan
  11. Thanks for the offer mate, lots of little things to do and no time to do them. A couple of late nights in the shed with jack should get most stuff sorted :sob: Cheers Dan
  12. Have you tried the local wreckers? Thats where I got mine, cheap too :sob:
  13. Got my car back today, but it still needs some love to make it respectable :sob: put me down as a maybe :hmm:
  14. on ya bike then son, and post them stickers :sob:
  15. There's a mad rush to get these stickers out? I paid 4 months ago for some www.KE70.com stickers and still no news? Get your priorities right lads :no2:
  16. WOW, I found this all the way back on page 8!!! and still my car is at the workshop nearly 5 months later. Would have to be nearly out of rego by now  So, all the time and money spent modding the computer/small port dizzy was a wast. It now has a custom trigger wheel/haul effect? sensor spinning off the crank pulley which also had to be modified along with the pulley on the alternator for clearance. It was firing randomly at start-up/low rpm which wasn't noticeable with the dizzy but with the coil packs it was a different story. Well this is what the engine bay looked like when it left, still so much to do, it's depressing to look at  Cheers Dan
  17. I just joined and added a shitty in-car video clip from my KE70 wagon, but I'm thinking about hitting up the clay pan in the 30 over the weekend. JIP 01, your rolla sounds sweet as man, I've got some similar rally footage but it's from a Datto :P Cheers Dan
  18. Brought a kit for the carby and striped it down last night, and what did I find wedged tight in one of the venturie's(spelling?) non other then the wing nut that would normally be holding the air filter on :yak: The intake manifold had a fair amount of fuel pooled up in the bottom of it, and there was a heap of crud throughout the carby too. Just hope I can remember how It all goes back together :) Cheers Dan
  19. Plugs could be replaced, but aren't to bad. Got a set of point to go in just need the gap/dwell angel. Have not checked the timing yet, will do it all in one hit. It seems to be running rich(fast idol, black smoke, smells of fuel) I was thinking It may have sucked something into the carby when I ran out of fuel. does need a good tune-up tho.
  20. Hey hey, I'm having some problems with the 3k in my KE30 and I'm not sure what to do. All I've done after buying the car is: Oil/oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, cleaned the spark plugs and run out off fuel on the way to work :D run some fuel system cleaner through it but got no love. Anyway, when I drive it to work now (40 min's on highway@110) all goes well until I hit the 60km zone (5min's from work) I seem to be loosing the primary and have to drive it on the secondary (flat to the floor) push the accelerator halfway down and nothing happens then bam!!! off she goes, kinda, sorta. 3 corners later and I make it to work, car dies in car park, I go to work. Finish work, car starts fine, drive home no problem? Thinking about rebuilding the carby, but never played with one before. How hard/costly would it be? I'm not retarded I should be able to cope  Edit: Also chasing points gap, dwell angel and timing so I can give it a quick tune-up. Any advice would be very helpful, Cheers Dan
  21. If everyone took 1 or 2 bits each there'd be heaps ;) Edit: Could just through a steak under the bonnet before you leave?
  22. Yeah, I only used the alloy because it was free and it's a fairly heavy gauge. I'll probably make a better one from stainless if I can find some at work.
  23. I'm making my own at the moment out of alloy for my KE70. I made a template out of cardboard transfered that onto the sheet of alloy and cut it out with a jig saw, to easy :lolcry: I'm going to make it solid for now and convert it to an adjustable type later on with a turn buckle in the center of it. These are the brackets so far, Cheers Dan
