  1. Depends where you are, There's a KE20? at a wreckers I was at yesterday in Orange, NSW. Was mostly intakt but had a fair hit on the passenger side, I wasn't paying to much attention to It. The place was called "The Great Western Auto Wreckers" Cheers Dan
  2. Hey hey, Just wondering where others go to in the Sydney area to get there leaf springs repaired/reset. I refuse to pay $400-$500 for custom made ones, I'll put a 4 link in before I do that :P There for a KE70 wagon, not that it should matter. Cheers Harvo
  3. *I'm not a painter* but I have tried my hand at it a couple of times, I reckon if you block the hole lot back it'll give you a last chance to fix any minor imperfections you may have missed and lay down a couple of nice wet coats over top, It'll look a million bucks. Mirror finish FTW :P Cheers Harvo
  4. I did replace one of them a while ago, not because it was blown but it had one halogen globe and a normal globe which is the one that I replaced. Guess it wont hurt too check them again, how do you test them? Thanks for the fast reply mate
  5. Since re-building my motor the head lights aren't working, the dash lights/Parker's still work tho. I think I've checked all the fuses/relays and all seem fine. I did pull the combination switch off and one of the wires had come off so I soldered it back on and it made no difference at all, I then got the test lamp out and got nothing. Tried to trace the wires back through the harness but thought I'd ask on here before I start to strip shit out and make more work for myself. Is there something I'm missing or should check first, not much of an electronics buff so all the help I can get will be much appreciated. Cheers Harvo :P
  6. I for one would love to see your application video and anyone else who applies . Reckon they would be a good watch :P It would be good to have an insider on the show too, good luck to everyone who applied :P Cheers Dan
  7. Yeah I hear that, I've got a family to support but I've also got family to support me which helps. I would avoid group training at all cost as well. I finish my current job this Friday and start my fitter/machinist apprenticeship with Rail corp on the 21st January and I can't wait. Yeah it's gonna be a hard road in the short term but you've gotta look at the big picture. Being a mature (if you could call me that) aged apprentice I get $2000 tax free in 4 $500 installments which should cover us for rego on the cars. I also get the tool allowance after 12 months as well as a few other things here and there and my wife will be entitled to parenting payments? or something along those lines. If all else fails we'll just have some more kiddies to get the baby bonus. Free money
  8. Wow!!!! You'd think people would jump at an apprenticeship these days. I'm 25 and applied for an apprenticeship in June of this year, there were only about 15 people apply for 2 jobs and about half where not to keen as "smart/casual" doesn't mean trackies. They narrowed it down to three of us and ended up putting us all on, all tho it took nearly 6 months to get an answer from them. I thought there would be 100's of applicants for the jobs
  9. Finally got my car back from the tuners, but still yet to be tuned. Brought it home to work on over the holidays cause the tuner wasn't happy with the pod sitting right behind the radiator. So the planed battery relocation has been bumped to the top of the list of "things to do". Still need to make some brackets to hold the battery secure, but it's tucked away in the other false speaker box in the back same as the fuel pump/surge tank. And with the little bit of spare time I've had over the last few days I started making the heat shield/cold air box for the pod filter behind the left hand head light. I'm starting an apprenticeship at the start of 08 with a 4 week induction in Sydney starting on the 21st of January, so I'm hoping to have it ready to be rego'ed by the time I get home from that because the new job is a 30-40 min drive depending on how much boost I run :y: so I really need it on the road by then. Cheers Harvo
  10. Did someone say suppository?
  11. Me and the missus saw the exact same thing the other day, wet road, busy intersection in the middle off the day this young bloke comes round the corner (red P's) in a 4x4 ute fish tailing up the road. I thought he must have lost it but he just kept into it as he went by. A couple years ago now a guy I knew through some friends got him self a Datto 1600 and thought he was invincible. He through it into a corner on a wet road, lost it and cleaned up a guy I was at school with at the time and his grand mother who died at the scene. Another mate in a wheel chair after a car load of them (all drunk) lost control on the Bells line road, single lane either way through a cutting on a blind corner. Car coming the other way cleaned them up, one fatal in the other car and another in a wheel chair as well. So f@#king stupid
  12. Shit that sucks mate, I'll keep an eye out for ya. I'm in Lithgow so not too far away, you never know where it might turn up.
  13. I'd give you's all a run, but my feet are sore and I'm tired "How wants a mustache ride? " :D
  14. If I had my wagon on the road I'd be there for sure, I hate waiting for parts  Hopefully this gets off the ground as a regular occurrence, but cause I live a couple hours west of Sydney It'll be hard to make it that often. but if all the other states can do it so can we. Would be good to get some involvement in stuff like this at oran park anyway glad to see there's still some motivation out there, should be an awesome day (take Lot's of photos) Cheer's Harvo :lolcry:
  15. That's a nice wagon mate, these things are popping up every where lately. All you need now is something to make full use of that 11,000rpm red line :lolcry:
  16. I'm surprised no one has has photoshopped it yet? :lolcry:  I'd give it a go, but I suck at this hole computer thing :y: sounds pimp enough tho
  17. Twin turbo Lexus V8? :lolcry: and slammed on whitewalls and moonies
  18. My old man hits the gym where Brad Morris trains (cage fighter) and spots for him occasionally. We went and watched him fight at Penrith, His fight was the main event and he kicked arse. Was good to watch. Champion
  19. I thought it was an XT130 but I guess I wasn't paying to much attention when I drove past it. Was after the struts for the wagon, but I'm sure I'll get my $50 of fun out of it :lolcry: Drift pig?
  20. Not yet mate, sent it off a few weeks ago for a tune and ended up having to re-do some of the dodge wiring  but he did give it a run up on the dyno to bed the rings in and it made 115rwkw@6-7psi. Should be plenty more left in her, going for a nice safe tune with lowish boost. (At least to start with :hmm: ) Just waiting for a throttle position switch to get it going again. Thanks man :lolcry: Just got a RT104 corona today for $50 should run like a dream after a tune up (wasn't happy with 5mm plug gaps) running heaps better know. So I got a spare set of 14's on it, and I'm gonna hit a mate up for his old TRX rim's of his paddock basher cause I've got some good tyres for them already. The new toy Cheer's Harvo
  21. Only beer for me now, After an all day/night bender that started with a 1ltr bottle of duty free Absolute Vanilla Vodka, ending with me coming to in the shower the next morning with no idea how I got there or where I was did It for me. Oh and I got this 9 months later. Lucky it was my wife
  22. No, the guy really is as useless as tits on a bull. Even when he drives the tractor that he's uses every day he gets in and pulls every lever and pushes every button till he manages to get going. He pulls the hand brake on so hard he's bent the lever (after the running him self over incident) but then leaves it in neutral anyway.
  23. Don't get me started on his driving, 3rd and 4th gear take off cause he can't or wont change gears. Whenever he starts a machine we all scatter to a safe distance to watch and have a chuckle as he bunny hopes off or goes forwards in stead of backwards or vice versa.
  24. WE PAY THIS GUY'S WAGES  Close we are local government, we work at a golf club and he's been with us for 2 years. In that time he's managed to run not only himself over (which I had the honour of driving the tractor off him) but 2 brush cutters at the same time as well as getting mowers and tractor's stuck in all sorts of place's no sane person would go. It was only last week that he drove the same mower down an embankment and head first into a big ass dish drain (spewing my phone died) Whenever we see this guy walking you think what the f@#k's he done now? It rained all day to day but when I seen him walking towards me I thought "How the hell has he managed to get that frigging wet" Which is when he told me he got ''stuck in the creek". As we don't have any creeks on the course I was a little worried. So I headed over in the direction he came from to one of the "duck ponds" but there was no mower. I thought It was at the bottom of the dam. Went to the next pond and here it is, light still flashing, slowly sinking in to the mud. Note the plastic covers on the seat so it doesn't get wet. He said it wasn't his fault, he was no where near the water it just slid down the bank? All the head honchos came out and had a look , while we were all standing there waiting for the recovery truck, old mate slipped ass over tit and ended up back in the water. :) My phone had died by this stage :bash:
  25. What a f@#ktard!!! Parked our brand new $18,000 mower in the duck pond. This is the same bloke (dude in the water) that ran himself over with the tractor that he was driving :bash: The boss was not a happy camper  I laughed my ass off :)
