  1. I'm guessing celica/supra or hilux :P.
  2. Rip off that toyota badge, looks wayy better without. Go your own way with wheels, but i also reccommend not to go nuts on the tint. Sure it'l be cool for a few weeks, maybe even a few months. But you'l eventually get tired of it. My sister has the darkest legal tint on her focus, and you can't see into it at all at night. I say stick with that, but then again its your choice. Cheers Added a pic for preference of the 'de-badge', ignore the toyota sticker on the bonnet as its now gone and ignore the non polished wheels. haha
  3. Mighten be toyota powered but it still amazed me :S
  4. No stanza has a different shape. I may be wrong with them fitting, but I'm 99% sure they won't.
  5. And for the mean time, if its the actual carby thats getting stuck and not just the cable. Throw another return spring on it.
  6. Do you own a phone book and a telephone?? ring around mate.
  7. Sorry for the hijack, but ive recently got my hands on a t18 t series t-50 and the shifter wasn't in the best shape so i looked around my shed and found a k-50 shifter. It looked the same and it actually fits, even changed gears etc etc. Has anyone else came across this?
  8. GH sigma will fit, and corona xt130. IMO don't run sigma's because they give about 3.5degrees of negative camber. Really unless your doing 200km/h and trying to turn, theres no point. I reccommend going xt130, great upgrade and only give around 2 degree's... depending on your ride height.
  9. Chrome bars, front lip and maybe quads and this would looks nuts!
  10. Hey all, So the time has come to send away my cams, but after researching I'm totally dung founded. In the description of the cam I want, it says 'minimum compression ratio 12:1' Now why exactly do i need to run high compression like that for a cam? I'm planning on going the 400A (295) and 400B (319) in my 3tg. So you can also give me your opinions on staggered cams too  . >>>>Camshafts I'm going with<<<< Thanks a HEAP in advance. Cheers
  11. Perfect^^^ Doing a 3tg conversion and yeah might have to go down to the local corner on a friday night to pay for everything :) But seriously, if you want good power, cheap upgrade... go 4age. Still have to do most of the things said above. But it'l be worth it in the long run! Probably why its such a common conversion.
  12. Looks awesome mate. Sounds like some good plans aswell. LOVE mk3's. Get rid of that hideous rear muffler, full 2" exhaust system wouldn't go astray :) . cheers
  13. My car is currently sitting on EF FRONT pedders springs in the front, and superlow king springs out of the FRONT of an XD falcon in the rear. I'm sure almost all falcon springs from XD through to AU fit. But only the front springs.
  14. How does that work? Your allowed a 1.8 turbo 'piston' motor, but not allowed a 1.3 turbo 'rotor' motor?? :y:
  15. Sold them to another member on 86dc 12 months ago. look on ebay mate, theres usually a fair few around. ill have a geez for ya :y:
  16. hahaha yeah i guess your probably right there. If i can find the right size alloy, that's what ill be making mine out of. The first set i brought for the 4k were under $100 but the keihin's were $500. Hope to god its worth it. Although Jay from B-parts had them on his 4ag and produced 115rwkw.
  17. Agreed! :y:
  18. Currently doing this to my 3tg, I'm using Keihin FCR41's which are 41mm. I had plans to put a set on my 4k before it blew up, and they were 32mm i think. If your going a fairly worked 4k i'd go for maybe 38mm carbies but that would consist of, big-ish cam, high compression and flowing exhaust. If you're keeping it relatively standard don't go anymore that 35mm in size. Also you would have to make up your own manifold or adapt them to a twin side draught manifold some how. Wouldnt say its the easiest option, but its something different and it works wonders if its done right. Carbies with all the black hoses were the ones I was going to use on my 4k, ones with red ram tubes are going on my 3tg.
  19. Dude your my idol, id be lucky to spend $200 the way you brought that car, the way it is now id pay up 100 times as much. Keep up the good work mate :y: :)
  20. nope 4ac is non crossflow, yeah i know ae82's have 4ac... i have one lol. so therefore the inlet and exhaust on a 4ac in an ae82 are at the 'back' of the motor, pretty stupid idea if you ask me though :P
  21. if the extractors are at the front of the motor towards the radiator, its deffinetely not 4ac, it will be either 4age or 4afe. My bet is thats it's a 4age bigport. :P
  22. if all else fails, get some 2500 grit or finer sandpaper, then polish.... thats if it hasnt actually stained the paint as said above
  23. Ones 2tg and ones with the old 4k-c, try and guess which is which :jamie:
  24. :jamie: been a while since i've updated, long story short.... The 18rg actually turned out to be a 2tg, so brought the t-50 and the complete motor and put it in. After changing the clutch to hydraulic (pain in the arse) I did a home tune and got it running fairly well, history on the motor was that it had a full rebuild with standard items.... 12 years ago :y: So I raced it for around 8 months then one day at a DECA sprint, went pretty hard into a corner and it made some pretty wicked noises but when I straightened up they all stop so i thought it was all ok, then finished my run and started to slow down and it was coughing, squeling, smoking and going right off, so i turned it off and havent started it since. Pulled it out and number 4 main bearing was in about 3,500 bits and the crank and rod were absolutely munted. Yes i had oil, no i didnt have a baffled sump  Brought myself a 3t and just started working on it a few weeks ago. Plans are to do a mildly hot 3tg. Pics are coming.... Bit of a teaser below, just brought them tonight.
