  1. ok so the castors are in! stock ke10 stuff in the bin.. tried my hand at panel neating and was surpirsed at the job i did turned out quite good... dent the size of my head is now 1/3 that and will most likely stay that way as i can't get a dolly in the corners of the wheel arch. cheers, Luc
  2. pretty much... as for paint will be going atomic with some stripes in a DNA mutant crystal effect with a green/gold colour flip all round. will look trick
  3. ok so pretty much stripped all the paint off the outside... the rest will be taken care of by the sandblaster probably week after next.. Rust! there is more but i didn't take photo's yet. will do once its on the rotisserie. next step is to remove front end suspension and throw it in the bin. and replace with castors. hopefully friday i'll be getting some dry ice to remove the sound deadening from the floor pan. then to do some under body bracing before the next wkend. once sandblasted... will be on the rotisserie for this. it will be getting all the inside and the floor pan underneath+ engine bay all powder coated with a zinc primer. hard as nails and with a 80 micron coating has a 15year warranty. then 2 pack primer the rest. progress will slow a bit as i have a side job for another rc member on the go..
  4. who did the trimming for your dash looks horn!
  5. more work done.. and rust sooo far. the roof is a mess.. its as if something has been dropped on it. and when it was popped back out it left a bunch of creases... gonna be hard to fix. butits all about who ya know.!
  6. i have BN leaves in my car.. reversed eyes.. extra leaf.. and a half rebound leaf. (helps to stop tramp.) the stiffness is awesome i looove it. the way my car handles is like a go kart.. the front is pretty stiff too. another thing people do to help stop tramp is to remove the bush in between the leaf pack and the shock mounting plate. i don't have heaps of power but i have done a skid or two with the ol 4k in the dry and it hasn't tramped.
  7. dude this car is clean... pls pls pls don't uber slam it and do the 'usual' drift uleh spec kesev. keep ip respectfully modded. much nicer that way for daily drives.!! good work so far.!
  8. spent a couple of hours on it tonight. car is getting a bare metal respray so off comes the paint.
  9. for mine only a select few know! it'll freak you out i can tell ya. hehe. as for the other one i'll let jason tell ya'll.
  10. so here is the new bitch. the one on the right. stay tuned will be lengthy but interesting for sure. the left one is bmxsexmonkey's work space is soming together slowly but will be awesome!
  11. du pont oe8000?
  12. looks really good man clear looks like it flowed really well and the flakes look like it'd pop in the sun... they look like 75micron good size!
  13. and here is the progress on my console. i'm gonna pull this apart and try a thinner foam to reduce the bulkiness also finish off some stitching. the handbrake is gonna be the tricky part.
  14. ok so here is a drift car i painted the other wk. couple week b4 hand the dude bent it up pretty bad. no before pics tho spewin. anyway here it is in primer. and in 2 pack the colour is called oyster. turned out pretty good. few runs but they'll jst get buffed. first time i've done a straight 2 pack job. quite a bit different. still need to get daytime pics.
  15. no idea if its acrylic more than likely it is. then you'll have to use an acrylic clear and buff it to a perfect shine as with an acrylic metallic you won't be able to buff it.
  16. if you plan to do it yourself and you've never sprayed with a gun before go for acrylic.
  17. ROFL^^^^^ LOL
  18. oh also you can't spray 2 pack clear on ACRYLIC unless its an ISO free clear. and goodluck finding one cheap. those clears are very expensive and becoming less common.
  19. well what else do you want to know. if its isn't a metallic colour then you can use acrylic and buff it till it shines. easy to do. just in my opinion not the strongest paint. or if it metallic you can try acrylic colour and acrylic clear. again as above not the strongest paint. 2 pack clear and basecoat will outlast it. or you could go a 2 pack colour generally metallics aren't in 2 pack colours. so if its a straight colour you could spray it... it ISN"T easy to get a good finish. i recently did a 2 pack job and it was ok-ish. needs rubbing back and polishing. acrylic is easy... great for the DIY but not a durable. Clear on base is a bit harder to do but easier than straight 2 pack but more durable than acrylic.. and i would think that straight 2 pack yould be the most durable.
  20. Clear on Base is good and very easy to do. off the gun good finish. jst suss out both of my project threads. basecoat is like an acrylic but not quite. applied in the same manner and mixed in the same manner. the clear is 2 Pack and can be buffed to mirror finish if you like. a 2 pack primer is required though.
  21. haha funny dude... hey if theres a wkend i'm free shoot me a pm and i can come and 'help' more than willing to help out!
  22. come on mick just get the wags going already!! lol.
  23. haha lol so true just to add some people don't even realise they do it... i know a certain someone on this forum who tailgates and doesn't realise it.
  24. best thing to do is to take their numberplate down and report them for tailgating. if they get reported twice.. well here in adelaide they get issued with a fine. they'll stop doing it once they start getting fines. jst think though key bangers are freaking loud and one day you may do it to the wrong person and/or surrounding people.
  25. Surely you can't honestly think that thats the way to go about it? if you do then you have a lot of growing up to do. As much as it may annoy you to be tailgated at the end of the day they are doing the wrong thing.. doing a key banger is also the wrong thing and illegal so really your no better than they are.
