  1. CLicky clicky linky That plane first flew in 1955. Fasten your seat belt for a fantastic ride. This video is a once in a lifetime experience of a British civilian getting a flight at over 70,000 ft. in a U-2 spy plane. Please note at the take-off the assist wheels on the outer edges of the wings which drop off upon take-off. The wings are so long that they need temporary support until lift-off. What is not shown is at the landing the plane actually slows to a small enough speed that two guys are actually able to grab the wing tips and put those assist wheels back on. The civilian getting the ride is the host of the car show Top Gear on BBC (James May) shown through Europe at 9:00 pm Sunday night in Belgium. The views are spectacular as the U-2 flies at altitudes which constitute "SPACE." Use your full screen and sound as this is a high-quality film clip, 10 minutes long. Stunning, truly stunning......
  2. That is so awesome, I want it...... Top work, really looks the business now.
  3. 5KTE with a slipping clutch off memory....... :hmm:
  4. Fixed it for you :hmm: Oh, and Shady, you're a bloody funny bloke, keep it up.
  5. The rage in this thread makes me lol :hmm:
  6. By "ate" I'm saying corroded everything it contacted all to hell, this was years ago, and I don't have pictures, but ask any Fireman or volunteer Fireman and they'll tell you it's exactly what happens when you don't wash the stuff off..... Nasty stuff :)
  7. Bloody clean! Nice photo's man.... :)
  8. (To the best of my knowledge)No, even if you had gone as far as using a dry-chem type fire extinguisher, all you'd need to do is wash the chemical dust off asap and all is well..... Leave the stuff on and it's a whole new barrel of fish, I made the mistake of doing this to my old 180B, dry-chem under the bonnet, didn't wash it off, it ate the engine......
  9. ^^ Well played sir..... :)
  10. Awesome, great to see work happening on this thing, and it happening so quick is a massive bonus....... Keep it up! :)
  11. If it's anything like my old KE70, the spider gears have flogged out within the housing, so when you put the boot in, the gears are tilting just enough to stop them from spinning, essentially making it a ghetto (accidental) Detroit locker...... Just replace the diff center and you're set.
  12. T series diff from a T18, minor mods and it'll fit, bolt in LSD center, rejoice! Any further info, click the search link in the top right of your screen.
  13. Start by checking all your ignition bits and bobs. (leads, plugs, points) Timing could be a factor, maybe a slight leak from your vacuum advance hose? Maybe the dizzy itself is a little gummed up, hard to say, start checking everything from the beginning and see how you go...... *Edit* Could be something with the jetting in the carby too, overactive accel pump, partially blocked jet, who knows, start with the easy stuff though.....
  14. If you had used this, you would have found this, and this, as well as a dozen other threads that will link you to the same pages..... The search function is there for a reason....... :D
  15. All I really want to see is this thing ripping twins on a *ahem* "private driveway" :D
  16. JEEEEZUZ :D He's still able to walk? Slap him upside the head (hard) and tell him how f@$ken lucky he is...... Then tell him to find and buy you a new car.....
  17. Best I've come across was ~$600 average price was ~$750 or so..... *This was a while ago though*
  18. *Cough* That may have ended it's life a while ago in the backyard.....
  19. I was wondering when this thread would pop up..... Looks like you've done a fair bit to it already, good stuff, keep it up.....
  20. The whole point of welding a diff is f@$king it up, just borrow a welder, rip the center out, and weld up the spider gears...... If you want a little extra strength, weld blocks of steel into the middle of the center, wedge them in, weld away, reinstall, skid. Easy.
  21. Because K motors are inherently better than 4AG's? :jamie:
  22. Win, you should lacquer it to the top of the gear shifter...... :jamie:
  23. While a fair enough statement in and of itself, this was a mid-nineties Triton and it was nothing but a lemon right from the go...... Since then I've avoided the three diamonds like the plague......
  24. Whatever the engine was in the TC Pulsar...... Only engine I've ever come across I could blow up inside of 3 days of what I call normal use....... Oh, and whatever the heavy piece of junk boat anchor was that blew up in the Triton...... Never before then had I seen 6 shattered rocker arms in one engine....... Rebuild, pop, rebuild, pop, rebuild, sell...... *edit* I'd like to point out that at no point have I ever owned or considered owning a Triton, they are too much like a car to drive, lack ground clearance, and apparently explode at the very thought of work.....
  25. HAHAHAHAHAAA! This site is priceless! There's 114 pages of shit like this! And that last one; God help me I lol'd......
