Ok, yes, that is a great way to make your self cop bait and snap axles..... Aaron: Only real way you're going to get your "2 wheel drive" diff is to swap in a different one that's compatible with a LSD center. Question needs to be asked though, you have an old auto (presumably stock) corolla, if you're not going rally bashing or driving 4X4 trails in it regularly why the need for a non-open diff? :wink:

Oh it wasn't mine, I just helped work on it...... On the bosskit thing, all the ones I've seen are about the same length ~100mm or so give or take, I kinda need one half that long or less to fit me in and the wheel and still have it at a height I can reach comfortably enough, otherwise it'll be too high up and too close......

Kind of on topic, but is there any kind of low profile Bosskit at all? Or will I have to get a preexisting one shortened? *edit* I'm actually the one responsible for the late model wheel in the KE18.....

Just do it in a shed or something away from the eyes of nosy neighbors and such, they have a nasty tendency to think you've torched the car and call the Fire brigade :P On topic, try angling the exhaust tip downward towards the road, either that or try the boot seals and the plugs in the spare wheel well, make sure the plastic sheet is still stuck down nice and tight behind your back seat too......

My hammer takes pride of place as the #1 tool in my box, there's not a lot you can't shift/locate/bend/straighten/dislodge with an appropriately sized hammer....... The appropriate sized hammer is the closest to you at all times without fail *edit* I just reread the header...... Oops :lolcry: a hammer is a tool..... My non-tool is a 5 foot long 3X3 block of wood, I hit things with it, and lever stuff where I need it, and if I comes to it I shift the car around the yard with it by being tricky.....
