  1. I've looked into this a while back and came up with 2 basic solutions 1. Webber conversion. 2. Take whole car down to carby rebuild place and walk away. Get them to ring you once they have it right.
  2. army cadets adelaide - Noarlunga "40" then warradale forget the unit no rank- lance corpral age- 15 at that time time frame roughly 1992-93 my experience- was a great way to get kids to join the defence force, we got to learn about diversion tactics and camoflarge Had the opertunity to ride in black hawks when they came to adelaide and go on several shoots, so many differnet things i got to drive a UNIMOG around the car park and ride in armourd personel carriers from time to time learning how to battle deploy from the back of a vehicle. Got to mark in several anzac parades so many different things would take time to remember. I'm guessing cadets don't get to do much of these things anymore.
  3. if its like the K series engines it will be somthing like a nut on the end of the rocker arm with a threaded pin/shaft inside, then adjust the clearance I'm also sick so if my response made no sense oh well hahahaha
  4. haha yeh ive been driving the missus car for the last few weeks and I'm starting to think about getting one too but I'm sure she will let me mod heres as i drive it more than my owns cars. oh and yes its suprising its not such a small car at all and the boot is pretty big hey
  5. do you mean it wont unthread from the rack end or the ball joint wont come out of the steering arm ?
  6. looks like they would fit a KE55
  7. i watched the link there pretty much only 1 mention about the whole violence thing but the rest was more directed at dudy of care to the kids which is fair enough. id say contact sports breeds more violence than cadets. i was a cadet 15 years ago and we were being watched over by vietnam veterans and other ex military it was pretty fun and i think the article says over 3000 memberships have dropped in the last 10 years, id say thats due to kids getting bored
  8. http://www.rs-watanabe.co.jp/index2.htm might be some pics here

  14. Have to agree with teddy But hey my missus has a AE92R 1994 (AE94 vin) csi limited has the 4AFE at 245000km looks like the head has had a gasket change at some stage but runs great we have done over 5000kms in a month and no oil consumption so far and its quiet pokey. I'm now starting to think about dropping the engine in the AE71 without the missus noticing.
  15. getting back to the adelaide "cute" names we have cuddlie creek rd or is it cuddly
  16. agreed
  17. so far just replaced front engine mount and alternator and a full service/safety inspection without the oil change bit  ive made my list of things to repair before the great ocean road trip. rear engine mount 4x new tyres coolant and brake fluid change recode radio or just possibly fit a kenwood reset base idle and clean throttle body oh and fingers crossed it wont need a new clutch by then because the missus is still learning manual
  18. full flow depends on if your going to be holding the engine at peak rpm for say an hour on a race track or just a 15 minute blast throught the hills ? if your not really giving the car much stick for a long period of time i don't see why the AE92 oil cooler would be a problem, but if your sourcing a cooler from the wreckers see what else is available and check the specs online.
  19. Thats pretty cool but he's running a "4A" engine block which isnt the same code as "4E" which would be great if the two were the same then my problem would be solved. I need to know if a RWD box will bolt upto a "4E"
  20. Hi all Starlet EP81/EP91 I've done a few minor searches over the years trying to google to see if anyone has done this conversion but nothing. I think the engine is a 4efe variety or even 4efte and visually the engine looks the same as a late generation 4afe, but a little bit smaller by the naked eye. I was wondering if any gearbox is a bolt on in the RWD variety.
  21. just get a bigger cat like from a falcon or commodore for the 2 inch diameter or get a sports cat btw what results have people got from exhaust upgrade on AE92 ? ;)
