  1. You didn't.....did you? :lolcry: Damn..... she cleans up a real treat! Hauled out from cover, cleaned up, parts car coming, sounds suspiciously like it will be out & about again soon!
  2. Rebuilding the old velocipede for tarmac attack, fitness here I come!

  3. I actually don't know what it's called, at the roundabout with the HJ's/BP servo you go across the train lines then turn right straight away. Then just keep going straight...right down the end of Towerbridge (?) Road, would be a nice view of the city on a nice day! :laff:
  4.   Especially if it'll look as good as I think it will when you're finished! :y: I'm still chugging my way through reading your thread, think I'm on page 14 or something... Fantastic work man, keep it coming! :)
  5. :blinks: ..... :| ..... :sob: *Smilies used as text contained too much profanity*
  6. Seeing as you're not looking to pour large amounts of time & money into this car, this seems like the best route to take. Rather than do nothing & allow the rust to eventually render the car unsafe for road use (in the eyes of the law), halt its progress & leave the total replacement for someone who has a ground up restoration or similar in mind. Just my $0.02 inc GST  Noice air shot! :y:
  7. Didn't you know it's easier to steal the scales from the kitchen rather than do your work there? :P Nice work with the curing oven, basic but effective. If the paints not fully cured, your first trackday session should solve that! Make it fast, then make it look nice. :y: Erm...maybe I should do a bit of that?
  8. You're not gonna put what I think you're going to put into that into that are you? :hmm: OR put things from that into what I think you're going to put them into? :P Either way, I'm probably wrong! Have fun now! :y:
  9. Happy Birthday Irokin! You're younger than me...?.... :blinks: Don't forget the Silvia!
  10.   Except with a 2nd hand TD04-L hanging off the end, not as badass as yours though... Looking forward to seeing vids of it running/Toyofest pics! Good luck in getting it ready! :y:
  11. Yay, update!!! :D Nice work on the exhaust manifold mate :y: it's things like that that make me want one of those on my car! It's looking to be real close to firing up?
  12. BMW 325i? Tin snips for the fail!
  13. Makes that single rotor powered lawnmower from NZ look a little underpowered! :laff:
  14. Spotted: Me in Sunbury today, working in the new housing estate & freezing my ass off in the mud! :(
  15. ^^^ Don't forget your rubber gloves & safety glasses, the stuff hurts like hell on bare skin!
  16. :no2: Deport HER!!!
  17. Mariah Carey, causing mental anguish since 1990. :D
  18. *sings* "Dreamlover come rescue me, Take me up, take me down, Take me anywhere you want to baby now. I need you so desperately, Won't you please come around, 'Cause I wanna share forever with you babyyy..." :hammer: Just when you think you've erased a memory....
  19. Yep, that rich smell is pretty much always present, except of course when moving. I did have a fiddle with this in the past, but will swap it over this time around & see what happens. Cheers for the help mate! :y: If or when the 2ac dies, that's the most likely thing to happen.
  20. My cousin's out of hospital now, not sure of any conclusive results of tests etc but doing much better than a week ago! So getting back to the shed, doing little things like passenger side detailing. Previously applied drivers side detailing sanded, dusted & washed. Primed. Doing this reminded me I still need to finish the jack points...
  21. Cheers mate! :y: Speaking of giving attention, Blue Things 2A-C been irritating lately. Topped up the oil & coolant on the weekend & she now wants to do a loping idle, starting at 1500rpm then down to almost stalling then back up again OR just idling at 1800rpm. :blinks: When it was being readied for RWC I just advanced the timing a little (& ran 98 octane) & it idled at around 1200rpm but now I can't rotate the dizzy enough to retard the timing back to 9 degrees BTDC (bottom dizzy vacuum line removed & capped when setting). I've checked all the pollution lines are hooked up correctly & not leaking, the diaphragm's appear to function correctly & all new gaskets on the carb/throttle body/warmer plate. Fuel pump & filter are new & it does this regardless of spark plug/dizzy cap/rotor button condition, also my idle control screw has little effect on reducing the idle speed below previously mentioned RPM. :hmm: I'm questioning the auto-choke, so going to swap one over from my other carby. Also questioning the intake/exhaust manifold gasket as it has not been replaced in my ownership & the headgasket, as when the front end was on stands with the heater fully open & the radiator cap off there was a fairly constant stream of fine bubbles coming up forming a foam. No trace of oil at all though, nothing but clean coolant so the thermostat's getting replaced as well. Actually, I'm questioning a lot, as I have NO idea. Any ideas people? If someone can help me confirm that I don't have to change a head gasket that'd be awesome! :) Fixing up the push bike as I have double block of trade school coming up which is half the distance it is to work, so BT can be off the road for a little bit. That reminds me, better buy that drum of coolant while I still have a car running. Bits. More bits. Cheapy $20 drill for wire brush work. Went through 3 of these (love replacement warranties :laff:) earlier versions before being unable to get one & having to use the good drill. :( They've changed the plastic colour & made the packaging all pretty :lolcry: Oh & Blue Thing has louder tunes now! Yeah it's old, but it cost me postage & a $6 eBay wiring harness. Going to dig up old amp & run rear the speakers off that eventually but atm 4x45 watts is massive compared to what I'm used to' :P As you can tell, I'll spend what money I HAVE to on BT, it's the daily & we have a love/hate relationship. Gokai's the money pit.
  22. Okay, not going to confess anything too juicy here. :P But... The car I wanted (so bad) as my first car: A VL Turbo bro The car I ended up with as my first car: An SV21 Camry :lolcry: Favourite band at one stage of my life: The Spice Girls
  23. I love how EVERYONE wants to be "different" by doing one thing or another. :) With a worldwide population exceeding 6 billion, what do you think the mathematical chances are of someone else in the world having the same idea as you? Certainly not 1 in 6 billion. :P If you don't like something, leave it alone (i.e I don't particularly like redback spiders, so I leave them the f@$k alone). Life's much simpler & peaceful that way.
  24. I used to have these, ads for Coke Zero, Skydrive, some kinda mobile phone... Little Flash player thingies? Then I updated my Firefox version & they disappeared. :D Can't say I'm complaining, my connection speed isn't the fastest in the first place & they didn't help any!
  25. WGMG - Vomiting & having it go up your nose, it burns, it burns!!! :(
