Nice 30 bud :lolcry: I don't know what it is but this rolla has some real character. I like the work you did on the rear parcel shelf, looks real neat  Keep up the good work mate

I have the top strut brace and lower swaybar but am yet to find out how good it is, i'm very interested to find out how well it'll improve handling. I don't know if you need the rear brace because its a sedan, you have the parcel shelf which stabilizes the back end. I think it is only for seca'a and hatches but i could be wrong.

I was bored last night so i edited the look of the rolla a bit, tinted taillights, and lowered with the 2" exhuast. :P Looks better if you click on the image

Thanks for the comments guys, this is really motivating me to keep going with it :) This arvo I prepped and painting a few things Painted the 2" sports exhaust in heatproof paint The front brake bearing thingo's Rear disk brake thingo's x4 twinky shock strut thingo's. Just the springs for now, i'll let it dry out then cover it in tape and do the black Engine support underneath thing And what ever this thing its called. Think it's meant to cool the motor or something

Todays progress consisted of going to the local wreckers and grabbing some more twinky bits. Took me about 3 hours but i finally got the twinky fuel lines and exhaust flange ;) Exhaust was easy but the fuel lines... well it was a right c**t of a job to say the least. :) Had to remove the front sway bar, chassis bar, heater hoses, soot canister, air box, brake lines, fuel tank, back seat and after all that was out had to pull it through the wheel that was holding the car up. All without kinking the lines. I had brake fluid and petrol all down my arms and nuts and bolts jabbing me in the back the whole time.

Yeah maybe, the sticker might look alright once its on the car. I reccon go for it, if it looks crap you can always take it off again. Have you thought about putting it on the top of the front windsceen?

Ok, Umm.. when everything is off the RPM needle sits on zero like normal, when I turn the key to the on position the RPM needle will sit on about 50 RPM without the engine started

Thanks guys, I might get one just to be safe ;) Leigh, thanks bud. Can you bring it with you when you come over? Might be looking at your seca for cross reference too.. haha Engine will be ready to pick up from the mechanic this Wed :)

Here's the latest pics Had to solder the ECU Loom together because someone decided cutting is better than unclipping, same goes with alot of other parts i wanted from a twinky at the wreckers just like the fuel lines i had almost got out a few days before :hmm: Dash all back together with twinky goodness! :y:

Thanks Ted, yeah get the 70 on the road and drive it down for the Gor5, sure it will be better than driving that camry around.. Lol :hmm:

Nice Tint man, is it darkest legal 35% with that metal stuff? Will be nice to see the new springs fitted :hmm: Edit: Whats the decal? Is it worded "TOYOTA" 1 metre across or a massive toyota Logo?

Hey there, I'm chucking a 4age bigport in my ae82 sedan. I have 3/4 of the twinky loom. I have the engine loom that connects to the ECU, I have the complete dash loom From Passenger kick panel to drivers kick panel and the ECU. The engine loom hooks up to the passenger kick panel, the ECU and the fuse box next to the battery. My question is... Is there any difference between a 4ac wire loom and a 4age loom from the fuse box next to the battery that runs underneath the radiator support bar and goes up into the drivers kick panel fuse box? I don't mind getting one from the wreckers but its pointless if they are both the same. Thanks in advance

I had the same problem in my Ae82, I found mine to be a dirty fan switch. Another thing is there is 4 fues boxes in the ae82. 1 on the drivers kick panel, another on pasanger side, one in the engine bay next to the battery and a little one attatched to the positive termanal for the battery. On the passanger kick panel, there are a few relays, wiggle them around as well as turning the fan speed up and down, Hope it helps :hmm:

Thanks Yuvi :y: Ok so I got the dash all back together, not one single screw left over (thats a first :hmm: ) ECU is bolted in, Twinky Dash cluster is in, loom fits. everything is ok i think apart from 3 little things 1. When I put the indicators on they blink real slow then stopped working altogether 2. I'm not sure if this is standard with twinky dash clusters or not but when i turn the ignition on the Tacho needle will very slightly rise up (showing about 50 RPM) is that normal? 3. 4ac engine wont start now, I'm not too concerned because its either from a flat battery but i would have thought the starter motor would have made some noise or the other reason is just because its a different loom but the 4ac plugs connect into it. Anyone got an answer to problem 2?

I hooked up my 32" LCD TV to a computer in the garage, its so massive. If you sit infront of it you have to turn your head to follow the mouse. We just sit back on the couch and watch youtube with a wireless keyboard and mouse. :hmm:

Wicked video Teddy, you captured alot of good fottage there. Spewing i missed out on the live camp music at the start :hmm: Webbers, I'm sure if you practice everyday you might get there.. :y:

A few more pics :y: Comparing tire width My Fav Pic :hmm: This is what i have been doing yesterday, I'm changing the old dash loom with a twinky ECU loom. Notice the glad zip bags on the floor? This time i have numbered everything and put in bags with what screws go where. Then i can work back through the numbers and hopefully get it all back together

Yeah, i had alot of people say I'm an idiot and a dick head for doing it. The symptoms lasted about 10 days after. I am a painter by trade so I'm used to paint smells but the 2 pack is a whole different kettle of fish. I just thought wearing a mask was for soft cocks who don't like the smell, How wrong was I??! :hmm:

Nice work mate, they look a shit load better than before :hmm:

Update, Getting things ready to install on the sedan. Engine is still at the mechanics. He had a problem trying to find a brand new water pump. I should have it back end of this week. I have painted, the new sway bar, EFI fuel tank, and extractors. Flushed out the old radiator from the seca and cleaned the outside ready for some new paint. Thinking of painting it silver. Put my mags on, got the Series 1 front bumper bar up to topcoat stage, pulled the 2" exhaust out of the seca (got it out in one piece with the cat :P ) Went to the wreckers to get a 4age exhaust bit but someone decided to cut the end off where it meets up with the cat with an angle grinder so it was useless to me :bash: Here is a pile of car bits that i abandoned at my mums place, weeds kinda took over Engine loaded in the boot of the ford ready to take to the mechanics Some things i been doing over the last few weeks Next thing to do is take the car to a mates house to.. Take 4ac motor out Put 4age motor in (Sounds easy but I'm sure it wont be) Change Front brakes to Ae94 rotors and calipers Put twinky disk brake setup on rear Install 2" sports exhaust Install Front Sway Bar Twinky fuel tank and lines All things above i have apart from twinky fuel lines and 4age exhaust elbow (the bit that's between the manifold and cat) I also have to get the O2 sensor mount welded into the elbow. I still have heaps to go but its looking good so far. :) Cheers, Johno :bash:

I got a $15 instant power upgrade that does actually work and have used it. Just get a bottle of nitro fuel from a RC hobby shop and whack it in your tank.. instant power:) used it in a Datsun 200b. :D Not so good if you like your car and want to keep it. ;)

I dropped the engine off at the mechanics this moring to get new clutch, waterpump, thermostat and timing belt. Went up to my old ladys joint to get a boot load of car parts Went to the wreckers and had a absoulute shit of a time trying to get parts 2 things I went in for... Twinky Fuel lines - FAIL. ;) Spent 1 hour trying to get the dam thing out, everything was in the way. 4age dash loom - FAIL Couldnt be f@$ked afer spending 2 hours there already after getting wet in the rain trying to get other stuff Instead I got a vacume sensor, ECU holder and front swaybar.
