Sorry, this is not a corolla question but i really need help with this. My grandmother has a Ford Fairmont Gear station wagon. It was my cousin's car but lost interest in it because he doesn't have a license. It's reg expired June 2004 so its been sitting for a hell of a long time rusting away. Has not been started in over 2years. _________________________________________________________ **EDIT** Oh yeah. Its a EB fairmont with 3.9L multi point fuel injection engine. _________________________________________________________ Well me and my uncle went there this avro to try and get it running. We put wheels on it because it has been sitting on bricks. Put a new battery in it and tryed to start it. It took about 5 minutes to kick it over then it started. Ran perfect for about 5 seconds then stalled. Tryed to restart it and it ran rough and stalled again. We could not rev it over 2000rpm. Then when we touched the accelerator it would stall. Now it wont start at all. It got dark so we called it a day. Now this is where i need your help. What would it be to make it start now not run at all? Water/condensation in the cylinders? Dirty spark plugs? Water in the petrol? Stale petrol? Anyone got other idea's? Cheers, Johno

The first time I saw it I thought it was a Majorly worked 4 cylinder. lol The guy that owned it also had a black datsun ute with a turbo rotory engine. Wheel spun 3rd gear down the road doing 100kms per hour, the thing was off its tits! I used to spend a bit of time with young hoons. Anyone heard of Sunday night Drags in Mooroolbark/lilydale? Thats where i saw it. My mate draged the orange corolla down canterbury rd once. We were neck to neck doing about 160kms then he shot off in the distance and blew us away. I had the chance to buy that rolla about 2 years ago. $4,000. I didnt have the money at the time and it could never get rego'd. Dogey shit i used to do in the past.. he he.

There hasn't really been any updates on the car at the moment. Haven't really done anything to it for a few weeks and money is really tight at the moment. Hope I can get some work soon and continue with this project. I am thinking about painting my front grill silver. Was going to to it today but still too cold. Just gave it a wash, cleaned my rims and gave the car a long needed vacuum and clean out. Also i am going to also paint the back peice of plastic jet black. The peice in between the tail lights. I bought a SECA badge a few months ago and i will put it on when it is painted. Oh well, its clean and ready for the cruise tomorrow... Yay!

Your doing a great job mate, pitty about the paint reaction though. As you said it looks like a silicon reaction. The only thing i can suggest is make sure you use wax and grease remover before you painted but a bit late now. Another idea is get silicon drops. You only need about 3 drops in 4 liters of paint. Just check it is ok to use with the car paint you are using.

How's the situation with the stickers?

Yeah i used to live by myself. Supported my gf and my brother too. Now i live with my mum and i pay her $130 per week for everything so much cheaper...

Thanks mate, Man am I doing some driving these weekends. Last weekend went to Tates house in Baccus Marsh, This weekend going to the Warrigal cruise then next weekend is the big cruise to Sorrento! Less than two weeks away!!! can't wait..
