  1. I don't know about you guys. I much prefer the 55 bonnet it gives the car the more squared up look of the eighties. But i do prefer round headlights. Our KE55 door trims are the same as a KE30. Its a '79 model. Did they change or has a previous owner changed them
  2. I think you guys missed my point Yes the crank diameter is different but that is just machining. The lump of steel used for block and heads is basically the same with pot centres identical in all k motors
  3. I don't know kangaroos are'nt that tough I hit a roo in a series 100 landcruiser. The bullbar caught the roo under the arms and ripped it in half. It left a big red GT stripe right the length of the cruiser
  4. Read the FAQ The 5and7k have extra reinforcing and the 7k has extra locating pins on the head A k block will bore out to about 82mm max which is why the 5/7k has a bore of 80.5mm As I have said in other threads TOYOTA have factory modified the block for you.
  5. Excellent job guys :y: Hopefully someone can put together a thread with photos from each of the states meetings Love the ROLLACLUB banner! Better be careful or Kangaroosa will join you to make triplets
  6. TRD KE70 I think you've got it wrong. Basically a Kmotor is a Kmotor. The block and heads in principle are all the same. You can bore a 3/4k out to 5k then stroke it to 7k. I have spent just over 2grand on building up the 7k and hope to get 95 to 100kw I don't know how the 7k goes as far as regulations but as it is just a modified Kmotor it may get around some of the problems.
  7. As Valandor said fuses and relays help. Most of the high amp stuff will have heavier wiring. and will plug from one component to the next. A multimeter is also very handy.
  8. Love the GT4 corolla :y: A bit strange seeing Cody Crocker in a rolla. And I agree with Nick. Just love the square KE55 front
  9. Try and get the wiring diagram of the motor your installing and your ke70 wiringand just sit down with the two. Work out whats common between the two. Then whats left just splice into the required lines which is generally ignition positive or off the battery. Sounds easier than it is but work through it and you will find auto wiring isn't that hard ITS ONLY TWELVE VOLT DC
  10. Okay guys. This one is to soon but something like this would be awesome for our next Rollaclub meet. Craig and I would love to give his car a bit of a run in something like that :P It also gives some good entertainment and inspiration for people still building thier cars. Col are you competing in this one?
  11. The beauty of using a 2door is when they,ve moved the seat back the B pillar doesn't get in the drivers way
  12. Thats a PHAT! little escort. Actually with 70mm extra track width maybe i should have said FAT
  13. I wanted to look fabulous for TEN years. So I got someone else to pose for the PHOTO!
  14. Athurs seat sounds like a good idea. Later in feb when the crowds are down and the weather is good. We should think of a meeting point Moorabin way so we can cruise down together. Other option is a picnic at hanging rock. I doubt Muller will object its closer to home.
  15. Awesome little truck dude! What did the 7ke-ze come out of What sort of power and torque does it get. Would you send me one as a late christmas present. Iam building a 7k with twin SU carbs. Supercharged has always been on my mind. 7K's RULE!
  16. Find out exactally they mean by aftermarket. Basically if you have to replace your exhaust it becomes aftermarket, therefore they should have some guide lines and you may be able to play around a little. A cut section of tailshaft as a tip makes a good resonator.(The longer the better)
  17. I agree with GZE82 don't touch the exhaust. It sounded pretty sweet to me! :rocknroll:
  18. Wow! 1100 members. Rollaclub just keeps growing. Maybe its an omen but the 1100th uses the call sign ""Brightfuture". Sounds like Rollaclub. ""Welcome aboard"
  19. Yeah! Awesome little gathering. I was stoked iwas able to make it. I should have known better than to give tiger shit about his redneck, mines pretty damn sore. ROUNDABOUTS ARE GROUSE! Thanks a heap tiger.
  20. I'm coming. And i will be at the barbie aswell. I got day release.
  21. Wouldn't panic to much about food and drink. It is behind a shopping centre :)
  22. Bad news. Craigs working so he can't make it and worst of all I got my dates mixed up and I have to go to the girlfriends brothers birthday,(oh! what fun that will be). Sorry guys :) (as he shed more tears than the icon)
  23. With your gearbox all the info is in the FAQ  and spread through different threads. take a few hours reading up, its worth it.
  24. Yeah! I know what WA can be like, but the fact is your car is designed to take a 6litre it is just suspension and driveline variations. Both of these you talk about changing anyway. Don't rush in do some homework and you may find the 351 a simple conversion, and legal
  25. It sounds like the probable cause. Check your battery doesn't have a colapsed cell. If your running amps and shit, think about getting your alternaror uprated. Oh! and a bigger battery. A faulty starter can also cause battery drain
